Thank you for answering the question regarding.thr Canon New F1. The camera works with the battery but I shall test it out with a grey background and expsoe it with different shutter speeds to see if its exposing correctly. Appreciate the effort!

Well for a longer tele Lens where you can use a teleconverter, you can do I a friend of mine did, he is an engineer, without my knowledge, he bought a Canon FDn 1.4x extender, calculated the right size, made a drawing and went to a blacksmith who cut of the exact amount of the extender, so my Canon FDn 300mm 2.8 L with the modified extender works perfect on EOS DSLR cameras.

It should be noted that some lenses (in particular Canon FD mount lenses) can be converted to other mounts. That's not always possible but in some cases it can be done with relative ease. It's not something you'd consider with "cheaper" lenses like a 50mm 1.4 - but for rare and expensive lenses it can be worth it. You can even get conversion kits with electronic contacts/chips.
It's risky but for special lenses it's pretty awesome.
Also on a sidenote: there are adapters that will transmit autofocus and auto-aperture signals, it's often times not quite as fast or accurate and of course it doesn't exist for every camera/lens combination.

I think some people would be willing to pay for the training you are offering to new employees. Have you considered having one or two positions that are paid so that people can learn how to do camera repair at your facility?

A question to optical specialist if you have one in the house: Mamiya six (the og folder) is impossible to find without hazing on the lenses. I think they used a low quality coating or something. Would it be viable to hand lap the lens to remove the haze and coatings, using same method as hand lapping telescope mirrors?

Thank you for all the valuable content you share. A topic I would be interested is about a “guide” to macro lenses for using along with the Valoi Easy35. I’m using a Vivitar 55mm 2.8 1:1 with a Sony A7III, saw it in a review on RUclips and got it. But I’m curious about other more premium options and how they affect on the results. Thank you!

We can talk a bit with some Valoi people in the next Q&A, but I'd recommend checking out their website for the gear guide in the mean time!
