Skull and Bones has even been in development for around 9 years which is even longer than Red Dead 2's 8 of development, and still this game won't even be a complete game by the time it releases

You can't even coop on one ship. Every ship is one player only. What makes Sea of Thieves so great is the fact you can play together on one ship. That's what kills the game if you ask me.
The first pirate game to give you the option of either wins all the players. As much as I love Sea of Thieves for what it is, being able to load into a separate ship in an alliance without having to server hop would be awesome. Jealous of PC players and their server browser lol
A less stressful not having to run to the sails run back to the wheel angle the sails patch a hole and then run back to shoot canons before having to bucket and run all the way back to the wheel
As someone who was hyped for this game since it’s announcement, I was never worried about the delays, especially once Sea of Thieves really took off and found itself, I thought “great now they can use some good ideas from Sea of Thieves and help make a great pirate experience. Then this year comes and they show what they have and it looks 90% like the original idea they were running with… I think “ok, you must really believe in this pitch.” And now I’m like if you’re going through all this work just to make a game where you point and shoot cannons over and over then just scrap the whole thing. We want piracy beyond being a one man crew, We want to be one man in a crew
Seeing how games have been releasing recently, I don't really see this doing well. Hopefully I'm wrong but seeing community managers call fans "terrorists" for giving genuine criticism just gave me no hope for well released game. Except for god of war ig
you know what's funny? A coworker of mine actually took a week off specifically to play Skull and Bones with some friends of him. They all preordered and want to play the game together... I was left speechless when I heard about that.
Yes. Cyberpunk 2077 was made by inexperienced amateurs. Thats why its so trash. CDPR will even go bankrupt soon because almost everyone refunded Cyberjunk. Its also another Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda, Fallout 76, Marvels Avengers, Battlefield 2042, etc.
This is approaching the amount of time Kingdom Hearts 3 was in development, which was about 6 years between announcement and release. But a lot more of that game was shown during development than Skull and Bones.
On the bright side, it's not like the game was heavily anticipated. So if it comes out in a basic playable state, it's still a victory because expectations aren't excessive.
yeah sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who was actually looking forward to this game :/ I just want a pirate/tall ship game that's not sea of thieves because I hate it.
Maybe now they'll add in the very obvious boarding combat and land combat/exploration that was in Black Flag. They probably would have to delay it at least a year to add that though, unless (and hopefully this is true) they've been prototyping a version of the game with those features all along.
Yong thanks for always making awesome content! You have voice acting jobs n I'm sure more u have to do n u still make time to provide us with content. You're awesome you beautiful man you
Well the other Ubisoft live services that are still kicking (seige, for honor) had staggering launches for some time. Hate that it's the nature of these games but hope they can bounce back from the initial feedback and updates in the future can polish out what works
Heh. I actually wonder if this game will stay in development longer than Duke Nukem Forever, which was in development for over 14 years, from 1996 to 2011. At this stage I'm waiting for them to do a funny fourth wall break in a trailer in which someone says something like "Yeah, but after X years of waiting it better be good."
And then there’s Beyond Good and Evil 2 which was also announced roughly around the start of 8th Gen and all we got was a couple of CG cutscenes. Where is it? Who knows. I wouldn’t be surprised if it quietly got shelved like how Bethesda stupidly did it to Prey 2.
Only Ubisoft can messed up a game when they have a great foundation already. It truly is baffling how they just don't use AC4:BF as a base and expanding upon it further to make a great pirate game
I'm all for delays that ultimately help give devs more time to polish a game, but any game that's been delayed a whopping 5 times and been through this kind of development hell won't inspire confidence.

This is one of those games!
My god this game... It was a 10 years old idea when it was concived now it's even older! I don't even know someone who is actually waiting for this
Honestly scared for this game and it's not even released yet lol
Who the hell called people a terrorist? Genuinely curious, I'd love to see this lol
@@nousername2942 Saints Row developer I think.
Whenever I see your thumbnail everything stops and I watch haha
you know what's funny? A coworker of mine actually took a week off specifically to play Skull and Bones with some friends of him. They all preordered and want to play the game together... I was left speechless when I heard about that.
Having the release originally being the day before God of War Ragnarok shows they never had faith in the game to begin with
At this point they really should cancel this shit fest. The game will launch with a mediocre review score everywhere calling it now
I can't help but draw parallels between this and cyberpunk's delay history
I think we're in for the next Cyberpunk 2077.
Yes. Cyberpunk 2077 was made by inexperienced amateurs. Thats why its so trash. CDPR will even go bankrupt soon because almost everyone refunded Cyberjunk.
Its also another Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda, Fallout 76, Marvels Avengers, Battlefield 2042, etc.
or better yet saints row 2022, nothing works XD
@@exysa2798 Why because of long development? Or launched buggy that you have to wait many months to fix the bugs?
@@exysa2798 sold 2mil copys since edgerunners. stay mad
@@exysa2798 True but now Cyberpunk's now playable.
"A pessimist is never disappointed."
yeah sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who was actually looking forward to this game :/ I just want a pirate/tall ship game that's not sea of thieves because I hate it.
@@SkySweeperSyn On my end I really liked AC4. And I have a second, more personal reason but I am very sure no one will believe me if I said it.
The looks like the entire dev team is skulls and bones already.
Yikes, could be the greatest pirate game of all time.
It won't be.
Not at all
Like Morbius is the greatest superhero movie of all time.
What are the projected sales expectations for the Nov. 8th launch??
Depends... How many copies are you planning to buy, Boss??
That game is dead on arrival
Black flag is one of my favorite games and am looking forward to seeing this make it to my pc or console..
Looks like another episode of Wha Happun is going to be made when this gets released
No ones looking forward for this. Walks like a 7th gen game, quacks like a mobile game. Truly unexciting, and just so, effing, late.
Uhh I have seen the games Ubisoft puts out. I can only imagine that this game has been an entirely empty desktop folder for 5 years
From what I've seen it looks good to me. And I'm excited for it.
You're awesome you beautiful man you
5 years to go collect seaweed and capture outposts in open world ocean?
Yong's haircut looks good. The shorter sides makes his jawline look better.
Yong you looking fresh as hell so I just wanna say,"I like yo cut g"
We live in hope!
"What is that person shaped ash statue in front of a PC ?"
"Developer, a 10 year creation cycle causes a bit of burnout"
I called it during their stream. I was like "can't wait for another delay" and here we are LMAO.
Been in development since 2013 but they've still needed to delay it 5 times... Yikes
Ubisoft ain't gonna look good outta this short of sending every player a life-size pirate boat with every purchase.
thats the only reason id ever pre order this game
At this point, I'm going to expect the worst. Cyberpunk 2077 taught me a valuable lesson.
Just when I needed a new video to watch. Noice.
Every time I hear something about this game I keep thinking of Khornate RPG
UPDATE: its been delayed a sixth time!
just doing this ahead of time :P
not an actual update as its more of a joke.
I can already see them adding an Edward Kenway cosmetic.
I'm not even surprised at this point. The game is more and more becoming chaotic in development
It's delayed because Ubi can't figure out how to monetize it.
This game better be game of every year ever with how much it's been held back.
When CDPR does this it's devs taking time to 'perfect the game'. When Ubisoft does it you people call if development hell, nice.
the best experience would be to never release this
