something worth thinking about - ginny is possessed by a full 1/2 of voldemort's soul (as the diary was voldemort's first horcrux). by comparison, harry only possesses 1/128th of voldemort soul!

My headcannon is that Lucius was going to kill Dobby. Not Harry. Lucius is dumb but not dumb enough to openly attack a child only 20 feet from the most powerful wizard alive. Technically the Unforgivable Curses are only illegal when used on another human. So he may have gotten in trouble for killing dobby, but not as much.
You know it just dawned on me that Ron's parents would absolutely have known and Most likely been friends with Harry's parents, they were both classmates and part of the Original Order
No, I don't think so. Ron's parenta would have most likely graduated from Hogwarts before Harry's parents joined the school. Also Harey's parents died very early, like literally when they were in their early 20s. I guess there would be a considerable age gap between both couples for them to be classmates.
The voices could easily be explained by the fact that, even though Hermione is talented enough to make this potion, she's still young and learning and didn't fully make it correctly. Experienced makers make it completely flawless and sort the voice
I love that Peter Pettigrew actually shows up on the Marauders Map. This implies that, since Ron slept with Scabbers right next to his bed, Fred and George believed that Ron was likely sharing a bed with someone named Peter who they have never met and literally never question it.

In the first movie, Hagrid took Harry from the Dursley’s on his birthday which is in July. Then took him to Kings Cross. But the train only leaves in September so like???
In the book, Harry goes back to the Dursleys after shopping with Hagrid. I believe that's also when they give him the bigger bedroom. They Dursleys drop him off at King's Cross Station and laugh at the idea of there being something between platorms 9 and 10. They ditch him there and the Weasleys help him find 9 3/4.
36:48 It's a Basilisk, not Medusa (although it's very clear where JKR got the inspiration from). Basilisk's direct gaze kills people instantly. No one of the petrified victims gazed directly into it's eyes. Mrs Norris saw it in the water, Colin through his camera, Justin through Nick the ghost (Nick got the full blast of it but he's a ghost so he couldn't die again) and Hermoine used a mirror and alerted the nearest student who was actually Penelope Clearwater, Percy's girlfriend.

Some details about Prisoner of Askaban: 1.- There's a fountain in front of the clock tower that has eagles devouring snakes. 2.- In Honeydukes, there are sugar skulls. 3.- Near the end of the film Dumbledore whistles "La Raspa". Fun fact: John Williams was composing for Attack of the Clones at the same time as Chamber of Secrets, while also being involved in other projects.
A result of this is that the score during the quidditch scene when Harry and Draco are chasing the snitch is the same as the score during the chase through Coruscant in the beginning of Attack of the Clones
The gnome tossing in the Chamber of Secrets game is legendary!
I love your obsession with Lost 😂 Its one of my comfort shows
The Doby/Putin thing is hilarious and now that I know it was a thing I can’t unsee it lmao
I used to play a lot of the PS1 game when I was a kid
Especially because I didn't have a memory card
Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite of the early films. I can’t wait for next week.
14:46 he doesn’t like the Weasleys because they are compassionate towards muggles. It doesn’t matter about their wealth. He just uses that as an excuse. He calls them “blood traitors”
9:06 has any else only know of the gnome tossing because of the chamber of secrets video game on the ps2?
I feel like the video games were a huge part as to why I got into this franchise so much.
Read a book 😑
I read the book lol
I read the book
Read the book but I was so happy that they added it in the game 😊
my like favorite/interesting point about house elves is that if lucius or his wife gives dobby the laundry to do its like they have to emphasize this is not clothes. (yes this point is taken from cinemasins)
I’ve always said that the work around is simply commanding they clean the laundry. No way to misconstrue that to mean here take these clothes and no physical handoff loop hole either.
@@calvinwright2214true it’s just kinda fascinating like if malfoy ever throws a shirt at him to clean it’s not giving clothes
8:35 huh, and also in 6 Slughorn asks Hermione what dentists are. wow, never noticed. There's also an inconsistency in the books regarding this clock: the first description of it contradicts the rest of them. According to the first one, it has "time to feed the chickens" and such instead of numbers.
My head canon with the Polyjuice is that the mix wasn't right hence their voices wasn't impacted by the potion.
Pinocchio: uhh, hi.
Voldemort: hold on, all I got to do is lie to get my nose back?
In the video game for this movie you do the de-gnoming in the garden. Surprised that's wasn't brought up.
Unpopular opinion, Chamber is my favorite movie 😅
Same with me.
It’s a good one. But Azkaban is my personal fav
Nah , i agree, Chamber is your favourite movie.
mine too
Same I didn’t really care for the movies after, but probably as a kid I was upset the OG Dumbledore passed and I did not like his replacement
This is my favorite of the Harry Potter films. I was looking forward to this video.
a perfectly timed upload to accompany me while tackling household chores.
Same. I just cleaned my kitchen and reorganized the cupboards
your guys dopamine receptors are fried
I will never be too old to watch these movies and read these books over and over again
1:04 *Hedwig's Theme!
Literally just watched this one and the 3rd one last night! trying to get through my rewatch before NR lmao. Is it just me or do the movies seem shorter than from when I was a kid? Either way still a great rewatch so far. Can't wait for the rest of the breakdowns! Much Love yall!
I personally feel like these recaps should've been better for the Deep Dive. But I am enjoying the content.
Oh yes ! Deep dive portion
I love these so much thank you for the bts and reassessing the choices of the movies. SO POWERFUL
Just so you know I love what you do and support it, I even buy your merch
Jason Isaacs is amazing as the Grand Inquisitor in Star Wars Rebels.👌🏼
The voices could easily be explained by the fact that, even though Hermione is talented enough to make this potion, she's still young and learning and didn't fully make it correctly. Experienced makers make it completely flawless and sort the voice
I love that Peter Pettigrew actually shows up on the Marauders Map. This implies that, since Ron slept with Scabbers right next to his bed, Fred and George believed that Ron was likely sharing a bed with someone named Peter who they have never met and literally never question it.
This is my #1 or #2 movie in the series (HBP is my favorite book). Every time I do a HP Marathon I start with this movie 😂
Amazing video mate - love the channel and appreciate your hard work!
Vernon telling an inappropriate joke in front of a potential business partner and his wife - it's bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it works out for him.
The Aristocrats!
Thanks for this series, really looking forward to next week's video and the ones following after that!
Blessed 🙌
Cleaning for company to come for my wedding on the 23rd! Been mental spaghetti but these videos lock me in! 😅
In the first movie, Hagrid took Harry from the Dursley’s on his birthday which is in July. Then took him to Kings Cross. But the train only leaves in September so like???
Harry took FORREEEEVVVERRRRR shopping
I want to say they stayed at the leaky cauldron but it’s been a long time since I read the books so I don’t actually remember
@@livingphoenix1 Harry stays at The Leaky Cauldron during his third year, after running away from the Dursleys part way through the Summer.
I just love the characters names in this series. Lucius Malfoy, Luna Lovegood, Filch…..
36:48 It's a Basilisk, not Medusa (although it's very clear where JKR got the inspiration from). Basilisk's direct gaze kills people instantly. No one of the petrified victims gazed directly into it's eyes.
Mrs Norris saw it in the water, Colin through his camera, Justin through Nick the ghost (Nick got the full blast of it but he's a ghost so he couldn't die again) and Hermoine used a mirror and alerted the nearest student who was actually Penelope Clearwater, Percy's girlfriend.
harry potter was such a good series. MCU vibes when i rewatch all the movies
Gotta say, not a bad Alan Rickman impression
Today's my birthday and your covering my favorite potter movie
Happy Birthday.
@@anubusx thank you
Happy birthday!! Mine is in about a week
@@rayraydavis9550
Have a great birthday.
Thanks
9:04 They did include this event in the videogames. If you guys need visuals for future installments of this series the games were awesome! Puzzles and lots of side quest activities to keep you busy!
35:14 Probably would've been a good opportunity to put a "DOES HE KNOW" Dumbledore thumbnail.😂😂😂
My favorite as a kid! Snakes and spiders 😂
Mine to.
you guys made my night. cheers!
Maybe the "Prison" was added because the ministry workers sometimes had to go to Azkaban.
Or they expected that Fred and George would one day get into trouble with the Muggle bobbies.
Half Blood Prince is my favorite! Specifically that scene with the cursed necklace 😂
yea i didnt know I needed this but damn, learning more about the harry potter series is so comforting
39:12 lol "causing fux to fly in with help"
13:03 there's no way this is how I recognise that Lockhart is played by the same dude that plays POIROT. How the hell did I never make that connection?!
❤❤❤thank for well done breakdown
Some details about Prisoner of Askaban:
1.- There's a fountain in front of the clock tower that has eagles devouring snakes.
2.- In Honeydukes, there are sugar skulls.
3.- Near the end of the film Dumbledore whistles "La Raspa".
I think it's common knowledge, but those three are ways Alfonso Cuarón put a bit of México in the movies.
