Hey Clark, nice to hear! You are definitely not the first person to state their military connection to Aschaffenburg - we're just glad this video resonates with so many of you. :)
I was in Aschaffenburg in the late 1980's beautiful place. Thanks for posting.
And thank you for watching - there are so many in these comments with military connections to the city. We had no idea going into our time there but now we're glad the video provides a little walk down memory lane for so many. All the Best!
I drove a mail truck to A'burg daily from Babenhausen in 1970 during stint in the 2/83 FA. Beautiful town!
I was stationed there 1991-1992, until the bases closed. I loved it there and have been back 8 times. I will go back a few more times.

What you unfortunately overlooked during your tour is that the gate to the river bank has a larger number of flood markings, which are even higher than this really large gate. Something that is actually hard to believe, considering how far the river is still from this gate and also knows that in the 20th century the River Main really only burst its banks twice. The Main, is a very peaceful contemporary, on its lower reaches ...
Yup, definitely missed all of that - but thanks for the great information. :) We only had a few hours to explore so we'll have to come back soon and check out the bank more in-depth.
Can you share some places you stay at while in Bavaria? Hotel gasthaus or hostels? I would like to take a trip soon and one of my stops must be Osterhofen where my father was born
looks so nice ! damn ,missing this weather.... -_-
Thanks, Sebastian! Yeah, we would really love this sunshine back in our lives right now. Spring can't come soon enough!
