Thanks so much for watching and your kind comments! To visualize our common ancestor on the molecular scale was one of my most thrilling journeys as a filmmaker. And it led me to ponder deeply on who we truly are as human. You can read here about what it meant to me: shorturl.at/kV5rk And we also made a 15 minute making of, with Gael McGill from Digizyme who made the beautiful molecular animations: ruclips.net/video/ryWMYKcywUQ/видео.html

This is a wonderful film, thank you! Really have gotten a shift in my perspective. Anecdotally I have bad experiences with probiotics and fermentation but very good experiences with prebiotics.
I started budget friendly with broken flaxseed but later decided to take all the fibers linked with good health outcomes. I take a mix of: pectine, ricebran, PHGG (sunfiber), resistant patato starch, psylium, inuline, beta glucans(oat). Some herbs: ginger, fennel, ceylon cinnamon.
This is so nice! I feel so much more wellness and good health. I dont want to think of having to stop taking it.
I think psychologists may have to make a shift in the future. Prioritizing metabolic/microbiome health when helping. Treat your intimate friends well! (your microbiome)

Fantastic work Hans. A beautifully crafted and perfectly paced documentary. Seems effortless but I know how much work this must have been.
As for the subject, absolutely fascinating. Great engaging stories, and awe inspiring to see all that detail in the final renders, biology is nuts. Congrats!

Great documentary, the only constructive criticism from me is that the whole thing is not available in English. It would be good if the parts that are in another language were read by a narrator, which would make it much easier to listen to. Thank you and I send you warm greetings from Poland

The exploration into the meso scale and the time scale in this video represents one of the most revealing insights into biology I’ve had the privilege to witness. The meticulous effort in assembling this extraordinary team of “Micronauts” is truly commendable.
The task of creating and refining reliable, functional 3D models of bacteria is, in many ways, on par with monumental projects like CERN and LIGO. The potential technological breakthroughs and the vast unknowns that this endeavor will illuminate are simply incalculable. I am in absolute awe and deeply grateful to the Essentia Foundation for their vision and dedication.
Though I am still working to fully grasp the challenges and goals you face, particularly regarding the paradigm that suggests consciousness-not matter-may be fundamental to nature, I deeply admire the profound implications of this perspective.
Whenever you plan a visit to Mexico City, please know you have a welcoming host eager to support and engage with your mission. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and extending my heartfelt congratulations for this exceptional film. Thank you for inspiring us all.

I have been waiting for this day for a long long time. I would always share this hypothetical scenario with my students and the problem of time scaling. Thank you for doing this. This will help us all see how life is really a fractal, an interconnected mesh. In other words, the abuse of planet is abuse of ourselves.

The super-slowed down 'working' bacterium - with everything moving along sedately like a Victorian clockwork - is honestly what I had envisioned as the 'speed of life'. TIL: that *real life* is a billion-times faster and must be for all these chemical reactions to occur. All the proteins and enzymes must contact with one another for the reactions to happen. The 'human' world we see and live in is practically 'frozen' by comparison. What a wonderful and educational documentary. Bedankt iedereen.

You guys are on the right track. Its just a small step from where you are to understanding that the Universe is a living organism and that we are trapped in the context which we find ourselves, able only to really understand the things that exist at our own level of being, where you, when you are , how big you are and how fast you are travelling, our world our universe is not what we thought it was, we are a part of something much bigger. Even if you don't believe it, If we treat the universe as a super organism then we can start a journey of greater understanding about what our role and purpose might be, what life (that is life as as we think of it at our level of being) is, what the role of galaxies are, what planets are, the purpose of "life" the purpose of intelligent "life" in the universe, what the universe is doing. Our new insights will help us to answer these questions and much more.

Let's say it takes the average person tossing 12 coins in the air and having them all land heads up, 6 hours of rapidly tossing over and over, before they achieve it just once. But if 4000 people all try it at the same time, at least one person will get all heads on the very first toss. With trillions of proto-bacteria all involved, it just takes one to have a beneficial change, and that happens very quickly.

Unfortunately I feal like the progression from seen to seen were not always a good flow in the progression of the overall story and there was a bit more on human interactions. I felt like I would get a little science then people then science then the benefits ov prebiotics then how they package prebiotics... I was just looking for science.
