Thank you for reaching these industrious Jamaicans with great farming resources. I want to definitely reach out to Ms Pat and Anthony for some pineapple suckers.
Momma aka Mis Patsy she has always been a big farmer, framing yam, banana, pineapple and also the rising of pigs, cows and chickens biggg up the family real framers out of the parish of Saint James 🙏🏿💥🇯🇲🇬🇧
No 1 asking what chemicals being used. I stopped buying pineapples, melons etc, pure poison being used in farming. Most foods have no nutrients these days. Farming is now about money not health, at least not good health.
@@lisakmar I do my best to add wild foods in, SpanishNeedle, wild callaloo and other bush that I know can eat, coconuts flesh/water, grapefruits, starApples. Do my best to eat with the seasons, even though we losing those food/fruit slowly. I know its harder for those in concrete jungles.

@@irokoreasoning926 That's a good diet. What about planting your own pineapple and other produce that are often sprayed with harmful chemicals? I often wonder why Jamaicans don't do more gardening for their own use. In Canada, as May hits we start preparing our kitchen gardens. It saves us a lot and everything is organic. There is so much you can do in pots too.
We need to stress the importance of farming and food security to the younger generation, and let them know that we are doomed if we can't feed ourselves too many young people are sitting on the side walk digging holes in their hand middle 😳
Always enjoy your videos. This video touched my heart. Miss Patsy's attitude and humility is really refreshing. Her son is a wonderful person and also humble. Hard work but rewarding. Please continue the good work 👏

When I first went to Jamaica, I was skeptical about the pineapple because they are smaller and round unlike the terrible tasting one in the states. But they are soooo sweet. One time a slice fell on the ground and my nephew told me to look away cause he was gonna eat it any way. Too sweet fi dash weh! lol I have to figure out how to get a few pineapple crowns to Guyana to plant in my uncle's yard.
W Wish I could get some sweet pineapple like you’re eating Pineapples are small but they look very juicy and I must congratulate you on the wonderful job you are doing by showcasing our beautiful island Jamaica Blessings to you all Especially Miss Patsy girl you look good for your age❤❤love you 😅
Cute mommy. ❤️Good education on pine planting. I shall be growing pine. Welcome to Jamaica, so so proud of my country…writing and viewing from my living room in New York. I am really enjoying this video.✅🙏🇯🇲

Hi Ms. Patsy I have enjoyed many yams, bananas, and pineapple from your farm. Thanks so much. I'm happy to see you are still going strong. Blessings to you and your son. So glad you have help from family. Getting people to work is very hard in Jamaica now. Good luck. Novelette's friend Jennifer ❤😊
Thanks for the video..I would love to see more technology in use to catch water and irrigate and map out the field to know when crops are ready to reap and plant. Me head hurt me to see the lovely bunch a plantain a ground. Small pineapples have market too. When you get workers give them a contract to sign.
Nathan boy you got a mouth on you sometimes it will cause you a lot of grief but at the same time you speak your mind whoever likes it fine if they don't still fine with you you've had your say
Me too. I live near the sea so I'm thinking it's the salt air. The soil too may be a problem. I have good luck when I plant them in pots. They come out just the same..delicious!
He mentioned the planting process kind of wrong after stripping the pine sucker's he should have said wait until you see the roots instead of sucker's because I did it and it works and I used sucker's that I picked up out the garbage in the market
I'm into permaculture landscaping. It seems they planted too many pineapples and they can't manage what they have. Rather than let bananas rot and waste. Invite church members to pick what you don't want. You are giving back which recycles itself

I planted a pineapple sucker more than 2 years ago and it has not borne any pineapple. What can I do for it to bear?
Me too. I live near the sea so I'm thinking it's the salt air. The soil too may be a problem. I have good luck when I plant them in pots. They come out just the same..delicious!
I plant mine over 2 years now, I fertilize, water, talk to it and pray for them, but still nothing but they do look good in the pot.

For pest control, you can use soap powder ,
soap powder?
Yes soap powder, mix in water for spray. Scatter around the root for crawling pests.
