He ran his campaign 8 years ago on stabilizing housing prices... they've literally doubled. I've had to move to the arctic with my partner just so we can secure the funds we need to buy a home. Lets build more homes in Atlantic Canada that most of us can't afford?? Mortgage interest rates are so high that many people can't even get approved by the banks to buy a home. I am terrified of what the mortgage interest rates are going to look like at renewal time. In a year many Atlantic Canadians have gone from just managing the cost of living to Debt just to feed their families and put gas in the car. Many parents i know have to choose food over their kids sports or music lessons or quality school supplies. I don't know the answer to fixing the problem but massive taxation for gas is not going to help. The cost of fuel reflects the cost of life greater than anything else.

Lets build more homes in Atlantic Canada that most of us can't afford?? Mortgage interest rates are so high that many people can't even get approved by the banks to buy a home. I am terrified of what the mortgage interest rates are going to look like at renewal time. In a year many Atlantic Canadians have gone from just managing the cost of living to Debt just to feed their families and put gas in the car. Many parents i know have to choose food over their kids sports or music lessons or quality school supplies. I don't know the answer to fixing the problem but massive taxation for gas is not going to help. The cost of fuel reflects the cost of life greater than anything else.
