    ATSF 3751 was the first locomotive I throttle jerk in 1945, I remember when the tender was replaced to handle coal oil. This old Baldwin has a lot of memories, glad to see her operating again.

    A great video!! LOVE seeing the double-header -- and the 4960's whistle is sweet! And it's good to read memories in this Comments section from a guy who actually was a hoghead on her back in the day. ATSF 3751 LIVES! :)

      SP 6 Chime, but it may also be an ATSF 6

    WHY THEY PUT A DIESEL BEHIND THE 2 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE?THE 2 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE CAN PULL THE TRAIN ALL BY THEIR SELF WITHOUT A DIESEL HELPER.

    WHY THEY PUT A DIESEL BEHIND 2 STEAMERS?THOSE STEAMERS CAN PULL THE TRAIN BY THEMSELF WTHOUT A DIESEL HELPER.

      Gaston Forde it’s called dynamic braking,which is mandated by law and electric generation.the old steamers had friction braking only.not permissible by today’s standards

      To supply power to the passenger cars and supply dynamic breaking for the train
