@@DessinDesignNails It's just about the worst thing you can aerosolize. It's an objectively bad idea to airbrush any kind of polish, but especially gel polish. Thank you for this, I've never been able to get the sponge technique to work but I'm gonna try your method!
Wow, I’m shocked you’re channel isn’t more popular. Your video thumbnails are all beautifully designed (and so are your nails of course 😊). I never would’ve thought to use a makeup sponge 😮. Thank you kindly for the tutorial!!!
If I has to guess why, because the words are too small, at the bottom of the screen and there is no voice over. If you're trying to do your nails along with the video you'll have to keep rewinding to catch the words.
i really really wanted to try this look but was discouraged by all the other videos i saw! but then i watched yours and i managed to somehow pull it off THANK YOU
oh 100%!! That's exactly what I'm trying to mimic here! I use makeup sponges here since its more easily accessible and like $1-2 for a whole bunch in comparison. If you have those that would probably work even better since they're already nicely rounded!
I wish this had a voice over so I could watch what’s happening instead of reading then rewinding because I have to zoom in on the lightly colored and small captions 😭. Thank you for making this tutorial though.
@@DessinDesignNails Thank you!!! I recently found your channel and I've been really excited to try out your tutorials :) Keep going!! You're an inspo for many
Overlay is usually a layer of product placed over the natural nail that doesn't extend it in any way. I use a a runny builder gel thats thicker than most top coats to smooth out the surface if its really bumpy 🙂
I always avoided trying this because I thought it would be too difficult, but this tutorial proved otherwise! Thank you!
Airburshing anything but water based paint without proper ventilation/PPE is super hazardous. I love this alternative
Glad to hear that! 'gel' airbrushing is so popular these days, it just screams hazard when I see it done with no protection 🫠
Do water based paints still cause hazard? I’ve tried so many techniques but don’t look as flawless as the airbrush does. Any suggestions?

Thank you! I was trying to figure out how to do this look with regular polish for when I go see the Barbie movie this weekend and this is the way!
so glad I could help!! 😊

tysm! I have lots of stuff planned so look forward to it 🥰
@@DessinDesignNailsI would love to be able use those "press on" sticky nails. Where are the double side stickers sold, please?
I can't find them.
@@ayrenbethancourt9379 not sure where you're located but you can find them from nail stores/amazon/aliexpress. Search for nail adhesive tabs 😊
@@DessinDesignNails Australia. I'll look for them. Thank you very much.
@@DessinDesignNails and love your channel, by the way. 🥰😍❤
The nails looked so prettyyyy 😍
Thank you! I was trying to figure this out on my own, but couldn’t execute it. Your tutorial is so helpful! shout out to you, Much love xoxo
I used a mini beauty blender and they turned out similar! Thanks!
THANK U SO MUCH
great music choice :)
wow your videos are so amazing! thank you this was so helpful 😭
Thank you so much! ❤️
Eyeshadow and a brush works good too
oooh thats a great idea I hadn't thought of that!
I think I actually prefer the dark edge with the lighter centre ❤🎉 fab
Really love your tutorials! Keep going like this ❤️
♥♥♥
what products did you use for the green nail at the end? Love the colours
Wonder if a nail sponge brush (made for gradient nails & common on AE or amazon) would work or if they’re too absorbent?

@@DessinDesignNails awesome I’m stoked on this look!
They work perfectly! I did a video on my channel using these for aura last fall. But her trick using cheap makeup sponges works too. I've done both!
Thank you so kindly ❤💅🏾
hi!! do you flash cure inbetween all the steps or just after the inital
blending out of the aura? thank you!!
Thank you 💖💖
This was very useful💜
Seems like your channel is way underrated
This tutorial is so good!!! I’ll need to try it
🥰🥰
tysm!🎀🌸💗
Nice and it looks super easy Thx😊
youre the best
love this! thank you for sharing
thanks for watching 🥰
Are you curing in between each layer?
yes! 🥰 just quick flash cures tho since its so thin!
Beautiful🌹

I am working on getting cc on all my videos - they should be up on this one now 💕
How do you avoid the bubbles in the nail from the sponge?
Great tutorial very informative🎉
Could you try this with the cat eye magnet effect
new cat eye vid coming soon!! 👀
oh woooow thank you soooooo much!!!
Genious trick, thank you for sharing :)
My pleasure! ♥️
Thank yoooouuuu ❤❤
I just wanna know if you can clean the sponge or you just throw it out every use
I personally throw it out ! it can catch lint and dust if you leave it to use for next time 😊
Hi!!
What is that little stand you use to prop the nail??
its a nail stand! You can find them at nail shops or online 😊 You can also use like those plastic sticky hooks.
@@DessinDesignNails Thank you!!! I recently found your channel and I've been really excited to try out your tutorials :)

Great!! So any regular foam can do this?
yes! Any dense foam seems to work 😊
Would this work with a cotton ball if you don't have any sponges? 😭
This is late, but for any nail art you really want to acid using cotton balls at all because they leave behind A LOT of fuzz!
Hi, can I use regular polish or do I need special gel?
pretty sure you can use regular polish
yes! I would just try to work as fast since it'll dry!
hey, whatd u use to edit ur thumbnail? is it canva? ik its a random question lol
I edit all my thumbnails using photoshop and illustrator 🥰
Do I have to use a potted gel or can I use the gel from the bottle?
you can use any gel you'd like!
Would a mini beauty blender work ?
yes!! that would be perfect!
So u don’t cure it before putting in the top coat?
Hi! I do cure in between layers of sponging 🙂
this is so helpful thank you 🫶🏻
Happy to help! 😚
What kind of tweezers are those. That would make my life so much easier
I think they're called like reverse action tweezers!
@@DessinDesignNails thank you so much I can't wait to try these!
does anyone know if this works with nail polish instead of nail gel?
yes! you just need to work fast so your polish doesn't start drying and get bumpy and tacky 😊
thnx babe :*

the grey and white tiny subtitles are very hard to see om this background
very useful vid otherwise, will this work with non gel polish?
I love your channel🤍
