    Gabriel's Oboe from the Mission actually works amazingly well on Penny Whistle in that it gives it more of a Folksy twist.

    This is one of the most beautiful soundtracks from Ennio Morricone in my opinion, surely the one I like the most. You played it wonderfully, your performance was touching. Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤

      @@CutiepieTinWhistle lol, I think I have suggested this before, I love a Freeman whistle. I think this is the best version of Gabriel's Oboe on a Tin Whistle... and it's on a Freeman.

    Oh YES! What a great song! I've never heard of it before, but you have inspired me to learn a new song on my penny whistle. I play seven different instruments so it's hard to play all of them all the time. Needless to say I've been neglecting my penny whistle lately, sadly. But this video has just lit a new spark in me to get it out. You inspire me. Thank you.

      I just spent the last hour watching and practicing this. Got it down. Just needs a bit of refining now. Can't wait for the Christmas songs. Thanks for all your hard work. You're very talented. Hope I can get as good as you someday. I've only been playing the penny whistle for a few months now. Got my first one in the summer of 2018 and I was hooked.

    Stephanie, It has been almost twenty-four hours since the release of this beautiful music video and no one has commented on your beautiful curls and waves... Amazing or to be more clear... Shocking! Perhaps almost everyone knows by now that I would be along sooner or later to compliment you on your beautiful hair, face and outfit... Well your sweater is beautiful and your face is the face that all of my most beautiful dreams are made of. And nothing says I love you Burt Eastwood more than your beautiful curls and waves! Thank you! Actually as I have said before... Your music and smile says I love you to everyone.
    Now that it is December, I hope that you will find some decorations for your little tree by the door. With your creativity and loving care it won't be such a bad looking little tree after all. Haha. If I am lucky I'll be the first to tell you this year... "Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I love you" all in the same sentence! And last, but certainly not least.... Congratulations on seventeen thousand subs and counting!

      Thank you :) that little tree is actually the most beautiful orchid in the summer - just more of a funny looking stick in the winter :D haha. The Christmas decorations are up now though, so you'll be seeing them on Friday for sure! Thank you for your lovely comments as always. Have your tried any of my recent tunes on your whistle? :)
      Also, are you celebrating any holiday this winter?

    • @burteastwood5436

      CutiePie Thank you Stephanie... You are so sweet! I haven't tried a recent song on my whistles just yet. I'll be celebrating Christmas and have always celebrated Christmas. For my mother was your typical Southern Baptist Christian. There is much to be said about what is going on concerning religion and politics in your country and the rest of the world. I have been sort of ranting about it all day. So I won't go there now. You are my perfect comforting sweetheart in a not so perfect world. Thank you for your reply. I'm looking forward to more of your beautiful videos. Other than your beautiful music, one of the things I like so much about your video post is that they let me know that you are doing well and looking happy and healthy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and I love you! I'll be watching!

    I had found tabs for this song, but it didn't sound right. Yours does.
    I'm having difficulties mainting B and A, not sure if my ears hears it louder than it really is, or if I need a quieter tin whistle.

    • @CutiepieTinWhistle
      @CutiepieTinWhistle  6 лет назад

      It's just because the whistle is so close to your head 🤣 but the top notes are always louder than the rest. If it hurts your ears, play down the octave instead 😉

    I play the oboe and I can't even get that piece to sound that nice unless I use a very good reed as the high notes will suddenly crack like a teenage boy going through puberty if the reed is split or to soft.

  • @barteklala
    @barteklala 5 лет назад

    One question @CutiePie. In most every tin whistle book they write D as combination 5 fingers (exept L1) and You use all fingers to make that note. Why?

    • @CutiepieTinWhistle
      @CutiepieTinWhistle  5 лет назад

      It depends on the whistle. Most whistles play high D very well with 6 fingers down. Others don't, so it all depends on the whistle 😊

    • @CutiepieTinWhistle
      @CutiepieTinWhistle  6 лет назад +3

      Some of them can be (Sindt whistles go for $1000s), but you can get plenty of tin whistles for about £5 ($8?) Generation, Feadog, Clarke, Waltons all sell very cheap whistles. This one is about $60-$70.

    I can read the chart but how do you know how long to hold a note?

    • @CutiepieTinWhistle
      @CutiepieTinWhistle  6 лет назад

      I played along listening to the the song being played by an orchestra. When you get to know the tune, you'll soon remember how long to hold each note, either by counting in your head out listing to an accompanying track 😊 but it's more memory and playing by ear with tabs, than with sheet music.

      @dynan-spired6377 6 лет назад

      @@CutiepieTinWhistle OK. I play 11 instruments all by ear. I've never learned how to read music but the charts you put up are easy to follow! Thank you so much for your time and devotion to your followers.
