- Willie, Sarah and their dogs Jack Spaniels & new puppy, Nori, continue their biggest adventure yet - leaving their suburban life and moving over the sea to a remote cottage on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.
In this episode, the Skye Lifers are back in the byre - finishing off the jobs they should have done a year ago when we completed the renovation of our stone outbuilding..!
Willie has a big joinery project in mind, whereas Sarah is customising some furniture to fit in with her painting studio.
Plus, Jack teaches Nori a new trick...

Hi again ☺. Awww. Willie is just like my late beloved husband Terry, give him a task or something to make out of wood and he was happy. Loved creating, sometimes out of nothing ... I have a lovely old bottle collection Willie. We bought some small wooden crates from Ikea and Terry fixed them to the wall on their sides in our hallway and that's were I display them, catchingthe light that streams in through the window. Some sit inside and some on top. Yours look fab Sending love, light and sunshine your way 🌻🐞🐝🌹🐕🐾🐶 xx

Shelves are great Willie, beautiful collection of bottles! Sarah your studio will be amazing when you are done. The coloured drawers will look great and the paper holder was a great idea and build from Willie. Jack and Nori are just the cutest! When I was a youngster on our farm ,I use to sit in the woods and enjoy Nature.
Years later I would take a camping chair in the wood by a small lake near my home
and sit quietly.
After a time birds would come around and watch me , out of curiosity.
That's all it takes , of course ,no Jack or Nori:)
What a great idea, maybe you will inspire others to find their own quiet places.

The shelves look really good, all those bottles are shown off well. I love the poison bottles, they make a real pop of colour. Sarah’s studio is coming together, I’m sure it will make all your supplies easier to access. The different coloured drawer fronts not only look attractive but I’m sure they will be a good memory jog for their contents. Both of your work spaces look very welcoming and comfortable.

If it gives you pleasure it’s good for you especially when you live a bit remotely and have to work hard. Your drawer set will look great too Sarah, more fun than plain white. Shelves look great. One thing I think would look awesome is to put a strip of LEDs behind the blue and green bottles so the light shines through them.

I really enjoyed this video, as I do all your videos. Willy's shelves display his bottles very sympathetically and Sarah's organizing efforts are paying off. Training the dogs was fun but I could hear my little pup telling me to forget any ideas I might be getting about her -- she's a princess and royalty just doesn't. 😅
I think I'll enjoy the new channel. For the past 30-odd years my obsession has been photographing nature. I use large, old-fashioned cameras, the kind where you drape a cloth over the back to poke your head under to compose the picture and to focus, and it takes the picture onto film that comes in sheets instead of in rolls. It's a slower, more deliberate process which I enjoy very much and just walking or standing quietly in a wood or field or next to a river or stream, listening to the sounds, smelling the world and watching light and shadows play is a big part of the attraction. I wish it great success for you!

I enjoyed watching you guys in the boat and being safety conscious. Sitting inside 40degs and smoke , we have had heat and smoke advisory for over a week. Sarah inspired me to take this time to clear out some cupboards, like you I have a helper. Due to conditions we go out about 5,30 am for a walk. The garden looks great, nothing can beet homegrown veg enjoy.

The other day I used Willie's phrase "happy days" and said, hmmmm where did I get that?...someone I know or watch says that. (I've never used that phrase before except in relation to the old TV show with The Fonz) and when Willie said it in this video I realized I got it right here LOL 💙 Oh, and the bottle shelves look great and I can't wait to see Sarah's newly painted storage drawers! Willi, you asked the question, "What does your audience think about the bottle display?" Maybe there's a saying that says "you can never have enough bottles" and then there's a song that goes something like this "One green bottle sitting on the wall, " etc... However,
the history behind the use of the bottles & the shape & different colours & what they are made of is interesting.
