      @@BeRAD Isn't that the truth? 2 riders can both be boogiein' through the trees and look like they're hauling the mail, but the pro is doing it 3% smoother, on the gas 2% sooner and braking 4% later and he just walks away from the other guy like he forgot to turn the gas on! And the pro does it at every corner, over every bump, very consistently. Few if any mistakes. At the upper levels there are such subtle and minute differences that make the 'pros' and champions stand above the rest. And that is why they are so remarkable. Thank you for your content! Well done!

    Really nicely done video! I think Yamaha nailed it with this bike. It’s a master of nothing but capable in many ways. It’s priced as such where u can throw money at an upgraded suspension and not feel too bad about it. Yamaha realizes 98% of people aren’t/ can’t ride like u. Glad to see a manufacturer buck the trend of an adventure bike needing to be 20k. I personally hate all the electronics and the added costs…. It’s mostly fluff in my opinion. That engine though is amazing, very linear power yet “zippy” for street riding. That and the general ergonomics u can’t change too easily.

    Great video! Love to see the big bikes getting off road and ripping it up. Good to know it's not perfect, thanks for pointing them out for us. Just finding your channel now and joining your community. Love to support 2 wheeled content creators like us. Also very glad you didn't blow out the exaust with the tree hit. Your slow-motion looks awesome!!! 🔥💪

    Awesome video. Its always been 80% rider 20% bike. But I own a T7 so I know that you're getting the full 20%, if that makes any sense. If you're a dirt rider, you get on the T7 and go WHAAAAT, This thing should not be this easy to ride in this terrain. And the other upside is, its super comfortable and fun, to get to that terrain on the black top. Win Win. 😀

    Wow, I haven't watched you actively since a few years, it's really cool to see how you transitioned from being a street rider pulling 12 o clock supermoto wheelies to becoming such a good offroad rider 5:30 careful tho, cos the exhaust hanger is WELDED to the subframe and impacts on the exhaust can twist your subframe

    It reminds me of the bike version of like a (old, not new) bronco or blazer. It will rock the trails, but you can also drive it to and from the trails and not be uncomfortable. To be honest, if I were looking for a bike, this is something I would consider.

    I get that it's 90% rider......but you nailed it, hard. It's testament to the bike that it can get an MX guy and stick him on a completely foreign machine and get results.

    I've been wanting one since I was a wee lad. I recently bought a tiger 800 because I didn't have the money for a t7, and it's blown me away by what can be done on a big bike. In a few years I'm hoping to swap the tiger for a t7. Waiting for the used market to pick up

    Video idea (if you haven’t done this already) is to rank boots. I have a hard time finding boots that are flexible, yet protection is not compromised to hell. Preferably looking for tips on boots with pretty good ankle flexion to bend the foot uppwards.
    If other commenters have tips, feel free to leave them here.

    Nice to know that it can handle anything. I of course am NOT be as capable or as adventurous as you! I did order the T7 over the weekend. I’m told I won’t get it till January 2022 and it will be a 2022 model year. Can’t wait to get it DIRTY! BTW, he needed to change that exhaust anyway so just offer to help him change it and call it good. Probably should do the Camel high exhaust while you’re at it.

    If you want to ride mainly offroad I would buy a Husqvarna 701 enduro with a cosmetic rally kit that makes the bike extremely beautiful. If you want to ride mainly on road I would buy the standard Africa Twin with no dct.

    +1 to pretty much the whole video. BeRAD hits it dead on.
    Playing on technical single track, it's honestly a slick bike. 450lbs wet, but you wouldn't know it unless you're picking it up.....except whoops....those suck.

    Fantastic review. Showing us how it rides where it counts.
    It's not a KTM 500 but will follow it close behind.
    I ride a Versys-x 300 in the same way and places. Not as skillful but just as much fun. Waiting on my suspension mods and bigger rear sprocket for even more aggressive riding .

      Thanks!! Haha yeah…nowhere near any 125-500cc dirtbike. Those Ktm 500’s are soooo light and easy to ride. I would ride the 500 in any terrain id ride my 125 or 250 in. The T7? Definitely not hahaha. But for standard trail stuff, of course it’ll hang at a little slower pace!

    the modest maniac. Excellent video my friend. But you knew how soft the suspension was before you acquired it, but that's your starting point. They're a cult bike now with a huge following. I preferred more rode power so the A Twin won.

  • @cputeq007

    I'd love to try one out, and nice riding. But, I already have a decked-out AT (2018 manual) and a WR250R for the real offroad stuff.
    Interesting that you say the stock suspension bucks in the back -- that's EXACTLY like the WR250R, which will literally buck you completely off the bike on a whoop if you're unprepared -- and that's with max rebound dampening -- I guess Yamaha is happy with their stock setup on their bikes being sub-par.
    I'm waiting for a 400lb max bike -- what people forget is that once you add the necessary protection to these bikes, that weight figure climbs higher (my AT is probably pushing 550lb).
    Contrast that to my little WR250R -- plastic skid plate and a lightweight radiator guard is all you need (and hand guards).

    What made Torres's bike capable for hard enduro was the very expensive suspension by Boano (Italy), it's really a whole new ballgame.

    • @burkerow
      @burkerow 2 года назад

      You are correct, however the average "adventure" rider with a body weight of 160 lbs (72 kg) would be fine with the stock suspension. Once one gets good enough to be doing jumps or big whoops, you can justify the expense of a suspension upgrade. Either that or get the KTM 890. For me, it's T7 all day.

    • @C_R_O_M________
      @C_R_O_M________ 2 года назад

      @@burkerow yeah, I agree! Bear in mind though that the T7 has a potentially fatal flaw in its design: a welded non-replaceable subframe. You crash it and bend it or break it and it’s going to be hell to make the bike proper again. Most bikes have bolted-on subframes that you can replace in an hour or less.

  • @Lucas-ie2ti
