Amazing build, Pol and Manuel, you transform that heavy stone into a carbon fiber jewelery, and it looks amazing, from the tires to the chair ! Great job ! It just shows passion and love for bikes and sports ! , Un trabajo de locos ! Una maravilla saludos desde Colombia 🇨🇴🇨🇴
Buy a KTM 890 ADV-R it has the suspension already, or upgrade it to a Rally version, to have even better suspension smaler Rally rims Akrapovic exaust in the right position ;-). Get rid of the double front disk, and all the unnecessarily stuff used for comfort and road use, and only but 16 liter in the tank. Put carbon where ever you can, and you will end up with round about the same weight. Oh yea you probably will have som more power and especial low torque as the T7 (even with the especially mapping on the T7). But I still love this T7 build and all the work that Pol Tarres put into it. He is to my opinion one of the best riders of the world (on tis kind of machines) and does amazing things with his mid weight twin.
The parts have since been released to the public. If you want, I can build you one. But be prepared, the price will be between 25.000 and 30.000€ at least.
Pol is amazing. The bike is awesome. Both are together perfect. Pol don't know riding, just the suspension! 🤔🧐👍 If I would 20 years younger, I would start again with that bike. In the 90s I started sometimes with my lucky Explorer. Damn I'm old now!
Yamaha should go back to the drawing board, and just build it :-), and not yust do a mediocre upgrade on the T7, showing something amazing in the promo video, and build something different.
Great project combined with good fun. I still rework my old Super Tenere and throw away as much as I can to reduce the weight, but leaving as much of the original as possible because I love the look of the 90s. Regards from Poland
When will it be possible to buy the CNC clutch covers? The standard one catches my boot all the time and a lot of T700 owners complain about the same issue.
Word is Yamaha will announce a WR700F super moto version for 2025. 175 KG would be 385 Lbs.. hopefully that can be dropped a bit for the WR700F SM. Really want that CP2 twin engine..
Amazing work! Love the build A+++ ! I do have a question, how did you get rid of the ABS? I hate that functionality and having to reset it on every restart.
I completely removed all the hoses that go into the abs unit and tapped the abs unit so now the brake hoses go direct from the reservoir to the caliper. Easy to do and once you need to sell the bike in this way it’s easy to reverse and put all back on
Any information on the mod done to the clutch housing at 0:17 ? The clutch arm is angled forward by quite a few degrees. Cut and rewelded, GYTR/Rebel X part or some OEM part off one of the other CP2 bikes?
Great content as always! Is it possible to get any more info on the air filter and the ECU remap? Like where can I buy and what are the output numbers?
Thanks so much!!! I hope to have some news soon, currently these are only being used on the factory bikes so we can't release any dyne charts unfortunately. The Ecu we run has totally different settings as also the whole wiring harness of the bike is different and removing the OEM dashboard requires a remap because if not it goes into a "safe" map that doesn't make the bike run like having the dash on
@@allthingsenduro The exhaust bracket has been reinforced on the bike after the video and before Erzberg but regarding high or low exhaust we trust Akrapovic
Amazing bike, it's the way it should be! But for this purpose, why not build it up like a "super enduro" without the front fairing? Would be a cool kit to sell also perhaps? Anyway it's a dream bike!
I'm really curious how much weight that carbon saves. I would have guessed it might even be heavier than the OEM plastics, depending on the thickness. Also the Acerbis fuel tank might save you another kilo or so.
Unfortunately not simple, we completely re-designed the air box and manufactured it. Same with the air filter so it’s a completely new setup not available on the market yet.
Yes it’s lighter of how much I don’t know but also a big difference is the wiring harness of the bike where we removed a good amount together also with headlight, airbox, abs complete removal, one front caliper etc
what yam want to do is have a raid with 16l tanks same as the raid lay out. then you are well in to enduro bike . that what us T7 riders want talk to yam.
WOW! 178kg. Awesome work Manuel (and Pol) Great build. Have you changed the lower triple clamp ,no longer the Boano 4 bolt clamp. Is the standard tank better for the Erzberg race? (Not the new WR style) Will the front chain guard and airbox be a product you will sell?
Thanks!!! The full triple clamps have been changed with the new Rebel X ones. Chain guard surely not it’s just a 3D printed part whereas the airbox and filter may see the release but only towards end of the year we will know.

Great build. Really nice presentation and comments as well.
you tried to reduce the weight yet you didn't change the heavy stock fuel tank for e.g. acerbis...
Wicked hyped to see Pol rip Erzberg on this!!!

If you look closely, you can see that they just cut off part of the clutch cover and glued it on at a different angle with jb-weld.
