It's really funny that Helldivers is the ONLY thing I hear praise about with Playtime. All they do is yell about Freedom and Democracy, they don't even get to shoot their guns or kill an alien. They REALLY need their own episode in season 2.
The thing i love about "Play Time" is its supposed to be a celebration of all the Playstation games and only 4 games showed up. Even the playstation admits they have no games.
Exactly. And where the fuck was Horizon? It's one of the biggest (and in my opinion the best) of the PlayStation properties, and they didn't even give Aloy a little cameo?
Dude, that Sifu episode was done dirty. Give that another minute thirty and it would’ve been peak. One minute for the final fight. Extra thirty seconds for the conversations between the main character and the old woman.
Watching the Sifu episode, I no joke got absolutely blasted by the 6~ minute runtime for it, considering they literally skipped THE SEAN FIGHT! You should play Sifu Bricky. Only then will you realize how criminally they robbed us.
Yeah, this Episode was great, but they definetly skipped some stuff around. I do however wish the developers chose to continue with this kind of games, instead of making a Football/Soccer instead...
To someone that hasn't played sifu the story would look like Sean's the big bad, I understand they were working with limited time but damn if it makes me feel not super satisfied thinking he has to fight 3 more bossess at age 70, excellent animation though.
The most exciting thing about this whole project is that Tim Miller, who is obviously huge fan of sci-fi and gaming, wants to make movie in this style set in Exodus universe. I have a suspicion that Blur studio is about to go big if this project is successful in corpo-eyes of Bezos's board of vampires and lizards.
I still can't get over how they disrespected SIFU. The animation was 20 outta 10 but it's literally 2 minutes and 25 seconds without the intro title and credits.
I absolutely loved how the Tzeentch sorceress was portrayed. Absolutely insidious. And the sheer laziness of the Astartes efficiently slaughtering those cultists like it was just another tuesday was on point.
The only thing that helped me get through it was the occasional Helldiver yelling some corporate advertising campaign tag-line about freedom or democracy
The Helldivers not firing their guns is something I brought up to some friends too. They mention shooting stuff a few times and when the spider-bike was climbing up a building I was waiting for shots to go off around it, but nothing.
I'm so glad you are talking about this. Btw I enjoyed the Pac Man episode. It felt like a DMC 2015 moment. It wasn't entirely faithful, but it was a new and interesting direction. 8:16 new world was funny as fuck to me. I wondered if the voice was Arnold, or an imitator. 12:10 the sound design in the WH episode was radical. 13:20 "the creator of Astartes is in the credits" woa. 15:17 "this is my channel, I can be as biased or critical as I want, and today I'm picking biased. Cinema!" 😂😂😂. 21:28 I loved this outer worlds 2 one, maybe because of the fact the protagonist is a candide mfer. 24:11 crossfire was more than 15+ and it was bad, and exodus as well 25:00 exodus is the worst episode imo. It wasn't just generic, not just confusing, but boring. 27:05 I predicted concord was overhyped, and it was. It's not bad, it's good. 32:18 you mean concrete thing, not ephemeral. Minor speaking mistake. I mostly agree with the rank but New World and Crossfire should be way higher, while the moba has to be way lower. It was a Kaiji where the game wasn't the focus of the story, pretty pointless to me. Exodus has to be at the very bottom.
Hey in the new world episode Arnold also voices himself in the German version. And his Austrian accent is so stereotypical thick you genuinely can barely understand him because he sounds like a demented gramps on fentanyl and three bottles of Jack Daniel's
Yea the 40k was ballers. The first one where you could really see the astounding hand to hand combat deadlyness of a Spacemarine. The fact that in some cases the Marines didnt even looked at their targets or just killed them in passing... absolutely great. After astartes its only the second time even with warhammer+ that i could see Spacemarine in its full combat capabilities.
The second I heard the episode was going to be titled "They Shall Know No Fear" I was like, "This needs to be a banger, or it's going to catch A LOT of flak..." and then I started to watch it, and calmness ensued as I realized the touch of Astartes on it, and now I've watched the epsiode a dozen times, because it truly is a banger - and as an avid lover of the Adeptas Astartes, it truly was so amazing to see this. HIS Angels against The Archenemy. Perfection.
Crossfire is basically in game is the ultimate reaction time game. There was a play style called battle sniper because accuracy with a sniper is based on if you are pressing movement keys or not. The moment you stopped moving, your sniper accuracy is immediately 100%. I even had a semi auto sniper that 2 shots anyone while I can still move that had 95% accuracy.
The 40k episode was pure perfection and despite many good previous animation I feel this is the only animation so far that REALLY shows off the absolute monsters Astartes are and the things that puts it above all other is the speed and fluid motions they move with where all prior animations make them seem a tad clunky while maintaining the absolute behemoths they are.
I'd sacrifice the Mega-Man, Not CSGO and Playstation ad episodes to give more time to Armored Core and Warhammer 40k equally Edit : I meant to say mega man but stupid dumb gamer brain wrote Pac-Man instead
@@finnvost9349I actually would've sacrificed Mega Man more than Pac Man because at least Pac Man was creative even if it was weird, Mega Man was disappointingly short and the plot was something we seen too many times imo but I definitely agree with Crossfire and The Playstation episode that definitely should've been cut
I like the space marine episode and I know the guy from Astartes was involved but it is also beat for beat incredibly similar to astartes in its structure. Initial off mission intro that is slow, then a planet fall/ship entrance, followed buy killing some grunts that is split into two sections, some generic killing and then a more intense killing (the melee fight and the bit where they take out the twin linked las emplacement), then killing a boss type creature (the tank and the two psyker things), followed by a quiet section that includes a psyker before something goes wrong the psyker dies and the squad gets fucked up by some strange warp shit, things look dicey and then instead of a suspenseful mystery you get suspenseful conflict where you dont get to see the outcome. Its not a perfect line up between it and astartes but the structure of both is very similar. I dont care really, I am happy for some silly bolter porn, but its not something that I have seen many people bring attention to and instead they just say its perfect. Like its really good, but I would have liked a bit more origonality in its structure. Its a good structure for something like this, it has good pacing, doesnt take too long, has a couple rising creshendos and an ending that makes you wish it would carry on without feeling like you missed something. Just two cents on it. I still really loved the episode.

I think some of the New World episode humor lands better when you know Arnold's role in the Conan the Barbarian movies. Like that scene where Aelstrom does the fancy but useless twirl with his sword behind his back while flexing his totally exposed upper body, only to get his arm cut off in an actual sword fight, it was basically What If Conan didn't have plot armor. Aelstrom respawns every time he dies, but he's not the invincible hero that he believes himself to be.

Idk man Outer Worlds and Concord were (imho) actually good.
Outer Worlds carried hard the second core, while pour Megaman was the homeless hobo helping him
@@NerdyDumbProductionsconcord was ok, so was the outer worlds one. Both of them felt rushed as if they developed a narrative meant for a feature film and crunched into 15 minutes, which lead to horribly pacing.
YEEEUP!
In interviews, the exec producer has said they are angling to get a Doomslayer / Master Chief team up episode made, and the only way you could make that more perfect would be to somehow convince Nintendo to let Samus show up too.
I'm fairly certain that bringing those three together is part of the ritual to resurrect Monty Oum
I straight up burst out laughing. This is disgusting and so on point. I love it. @MadUncle9
If they really cared they would get a animal crossing\doom cross over
They should get the music right too
@@MadUncle9 I wish, I miss that man.
Even if genuinely loved the WH40K episode, the real highlight was UT. my 12 years old self UT2004pilled would have never believed that one day I’d get to see a cinematic adaptation. This is straight out of a dream. And yet the franchise doesn’t exist as a game. What a fucking weird time to be alive.
AND Xan being the focus of the episode! 🖤 9 year old me would never believe me that there'd be an Unreal Tournament OR 40k short on TV back then! 🖤😃
I hope UT being in there means they’re doing something with the IP.
29:45 "and this is the first image I saw" (points behind)
Ah yes, Brickster, we see. Surely not just a figment of your imagination xD
Wishlist for season 2:
Helldivers
Signalis
Lethal Company
Portal
Doom
Left 4 Dead
UltraKill
Balatro
Another Fromsoft IP
Hi-fi Rush
Half-Life
A review without audio issues
When i read ultrakill i thought of the maxor video, thst is probably my favorite ultrakill media ever made
We definitely need more of the frontrunner of sesbian lex memes
Please let Signalis just be bittersweet Yuri with Ariane and Elster on the Penrose
Titanfall, Team Fortress, Bioshock, Silent Hill ( hopefully more like the games and not like the Live action movies), Deep Rock Galactic and Gears of War would be banger as 15 minute episodes as well imo

I'm so glad our boy got to show off his insane talent that GW tried to lock away, I completely agree with your assessment of the episodes, though I think I wouldn't rate Concord as highly, tome it was ok because the plot had a lot of holes and just used weird tropes and visually like it was copying Guardians of the Galaxy 3, the one with the rainbow space suits
One of the best parts of the Warhammer episode is it actually give some interesting background to Titus's character that I desperately wish we'd gotten in the games 😂
Just enough child flensing to whet the appetite in the middle of Shoot Bad Guys With Big Gun.
Backstory; "he built diff"
Seeing all of the Unreal Tournament 4 assets in the short almost made me cry. We were this close to a fourth UT game, and then Fortnite popping off caused Epic to pivot all of their developers away from other projects. I pray that this short gives UT another lease on life. I know retro-style arena shooters are far from being in-vogue, but I just want more Unreal, dammit.
I just want them to bring Infinity Blade back to the market. Their currently isn't any (legal) way to get it.
I absolutely love the WH40K episode, the space marines every movement is deliberate and controlled, beautiful
Yea man, it was like "Grimdark choreography' if you get what i mean? felt really thematic to like what space marines are but also just looks really cool
Cant believe the eye abomination winged ass thing was just some tzeenched sorceror, aka NOT EVEN NEAR THE KAIJU BIRD changer of ways boss fight in sm2, no wonder our protag tittus had no struggle against his cyclops ass
A lord of change would crush the space marines. Theire whole mission was to inderdict the birth of such powerfull demons.
@@Speedy2619 Oh. Uh. Not sure how to tell you this without spoilers, buuut...
...the Space Marine 2 game's final boss is literally Titus and two of his battle bros defeating a Lord of Change (and also a Chaos Sorceror).
I mean yeah, you can put it down to 'it's a video game it's not canon also Titus is a Mary Sue' but it's there, it exists.
@@Stolanis that Lord of Change was bounded to the Thousand Sons Sorcerer and not going rampage freely

Malum Caedo has single-handedly defeated *_multiple_* Lords of Change, so Idk what to tell you lol
I know it's not lore-accurate _at all,_ but it's still so funny to me that a single sternguard vet just solos multiple greater daemons and comes out of the experience looking for more. _That's_ the kind of shit I wanna see more of in 40k lmao
You know it’s bad when the PlayStation episode was somehow infinitely more painful to watch than the Concord episode…which was unironically really good.
The Concord episode would be the equivalent of Edge Runners releasing the week 2077 launched.
I mean while concord was an utterly shit game, they put a ton of work into the trailers. Those were awesome, game wasn't.
@@ChiefCrewinthe difference is that Cyberpunk was still a great experience after it was fixed. I can't say the same for Concord.
GIVE PETERSON A FULL SERIES! THE EMPEROR OF MANKIND DEMANDS IT!
It's really funny that Helldivers is the ONLY thing I hear praise about with Playtime. All they do is yell about Freedom and Democracy, they don't even get to shoot their guns or kill an alien. They REALLY need their own episode in season 2.
Guns are bad mkay, no violence in our cringey corpo anti-corpo propaganda

I wonder how Bricky first felt after hearing his script recording and his audio was just mutilated beyond repair.
video starts at 1:05
Thx bud, I also don’t like seeing ads for a monopoly company who employ unregistered migrant children
Thanks, even though I use revanced
The one thing I hate about bricky is the sponsorship at the start of the video.
Thanks bro
"Isha in her jar..." Bricky...
Cmon its nurgle prison for a goddess, what else would it be
29:00 I get the reference. Too bad there are no Concordes in the air AND no Concord
Also I don't think you meant "ephemeral" when you said it
The thing i love about "Play Time" is its supposed to be a celebration of all the Playstation games and only 4 games showed up. Even the playstation admits they have no games.
And only like 1 is from the ps5 era
Astrobot exists to remind you Sony has all the games to play with, they just don't use them.
Exactly. And where the fuck was Horizon? It's one of the biggest (and in my opinion the best) of the PlayStation properties, and they didn't even give Aloy a little cameo?
@@16jms not even Jak and Daxter or The last of us hell Nathan drake?? Kind of bummed out from this episode as I’m a huge PlayStation fanboy.
Fr, I felt so blueballed by that. Needed another 2 minutes minimum
Tim also mentioned that he is in talks with Jim Cameron and that he liked the idea of Exodus film.
The Paladin was modeled by the same actress who played Greta in Beyond the Aquila Rift. That LDR episode is my Crab Boat.
I still can't get over how they disrespected SIFU.
The animation was 20 outta 10 but it's literally 2 minutes and 25 seconds without the intro title and credits.
I absolutely love the icons you used for the games. Cracked me up every time!
Uploading this video AFTER your Sony sponsored Helldivers 2 stream is the biggest tongue-in-cheek thing you could've done! Bravo Brickster, Bravo! 👏😂
Okey, here me out guys... Astartes Guy + Henry Cavill = Emperor of Mankind Quality
Credit to the rest of the team for the Warhammer episode. They did a great job, and I hope to see more from them.
I absolutely loved how the Tzeentch sorceress was portrayed. Absolutely insidious. And the sheer laziness of the Astartes efficiently slaughtering those cultists like it was just another tuesday was on point.
I loved the series. But I agree that the last episode felt like a corporate CEO hacking a lougie right in your face.
The crab boat episode is fucking amazing, and the captain of said boat is a genius with how he manipulated everything
GOD I'm so glad you threw that Vinny clip in because I felt that in my soul and actually needed to turn Play Time off.
The only thing that helped me get through it was the occasional Helldiver yelling some corporate advertising campaign tag-line about freedom or democracy
The fact that Helldivers did not get their own episode disappoints me greatly.
Like, Come on! there's so much you could do with that!
Remember, Season 2 confirmed, Helldivers has been confirmed as well for an episode, either for Season 2 or a later one.
The Helldivers not firing their guns is something I brought up to some friends too. They mention shooting stuff a few times and when the spider-bike was climbing up a building I was waiting for shots to go off around it, but nothing.
It'd even be in character for them to be terrible shots!
I guess it is explained later in the episode but still
15:09 Ha! 40k represented by a Tahu mask
Before watching TTS, thus getting into 40k; i just knew it as "That thing with the beefy blue Tahu guys"
Am I the only one noticing the audio going up and down?
no
F That last episode and the glitched out Third Colossus.
At 29:47 i feel like someone forgot the actual image lmao
24:11 crossfire was more than 15+ and it was bad, and exodus as well
25:00 exodus is the worst episode imo.
Glad to see we're finally back to videos of Bricky standing on screen, I think this works much better than cuts to voice-over
Just me or the audio on this a bit meh? Love the content brick
Does sound a bit off
They did address it.
Yea the 40k was ballers. The first one where you could really see the astounding hand to hand combat deadlyness of a Spacemarine. The fact that in some cases the Marines didnt even looked at their targets or just killed them in passing... absolutely great. After astartes its only the second time even with warhammer+ that i could see Spacemarine in its full combat capabilities.
would love to see a left 4 dead short all these years later with modern animation, maybe they could actually give the backstory lol
Astartes is still by far the best 40k animation i have ever seen and it still blows my mind that it was a fan animation by a single guy
A lot of these could be proof of concepts for full series or movies
29:46 "And This is the first image I saw," *proceeds to point at no image*
was watching playtime and thinking "man I wish I had the money to afford Helldivers 2"
What a treat, being bricked up for Christmas like this.
I love gooning to your vid Bricky
Myself included sir. We’re all gooning together now
The second I heard the episode was going to be titled "They Shall Know No Fear" I was like, "This needs to be a banger, or it's going to catch A LOT of flak..." and then I started to watch it, and calmness ensued as I realized the touch of Astartes on it, and now I've watched the epsiode a dozen times, because it truly is a banger - and as an avid lover of the Adeptas Astartes, it truly was so amazing to see this.
An Avid diehard player of Unreal Tournament 2004???
Peak...
Based...
Goated even.
That final episode rant was immensely cathartic... thank you brickboi
The armored core episode barely being 15 minutes is criminal
I'd sacrifice the Mega-Man, Not CSGO and Playstation ad episodes to give more time to Armored Core and Warhammer 40k equally
Edit : I meant to say mega man but stupid dumb gamer brain wrote Pac-Man instead
@@finnvost9349Not pacman, best schizo project I've seen in a long time
No, what's criminal is the Mega Man episode being under 9 minutes.
@@fulopmeszaros5330 I meant to say Mega-Man but stupid dumb gamer brain wrote Pac-Man 😔
I like the space marine episode and I know the guy from Astartes was involved but it is also beat for beat incredibly similar to astartes in its structure.
That outer wilds icon!! LMAO, hope to see that game in the next season. But I feel like corporate would never do that.
GL with the bugs man! I'm painting up Warpbane Task Force Grey Knights myself. It's a great time to be a 40k fan. Thanks for the support you give the community, mister!
Helldivers needs its own episode, huge missed opportunity, maybe in another season if we are lucky.
Honestly I kinda want Bricky to do a full LD+R review/ranking now
I'm gay but no one will ever know because this will be hidden in the comments
(please don't pin, Brickster)
I'm gonna like this so people see it
Why did you put a blank comment?
Not on my watch
I'll know
I'm gonna report this comment for misinformation.
Aelstrom respawns every time he dies, but he's not the invincible hero that he believes himself to be.

its funny the new world episode was pretty good imo , but then i watched it on english and have to agree , but on german its good :)
and the space marine episode was by far the best , but im a bit biasd in this i have to admid XD
@32:15 - Okay, that was so funny it was bewitching, I feel almost forspoken by it!
The armored core episode made me feel like I was piloting an ac. It captured that feeling super well. I loved it to death.

11:53 HERESY??? Oh ok. ISHAAAAAA WHYYYYYYY. who?
Khaine's the god of war of the Eldar(I am not familiar with them to a great extent but that's the basic gist of it if I am wrong do correct me)
I love how the god that was equal to Slensh and fought them to a stand still gets the “who?” Treatment. It is very appropriate to how Khaine has been treated.
The helldivers deserved its own episode
28:06 so your saying ign meant to give their review to the secret level episode not the game?
I honestly want to see more of that DnD story
we don't have nearly enough DnD animation content
35:01 I hope they keep revisit Mega Man, because Mega Man was called Start, so what if they have 1 mega man episode per season?
If they had an entire movie in that style for mega man I would probably watch it. Really thought it was good and just way way to short
Billy Mitchell catching strays 😂
9:02 listen Bricky. Every one has a right to their opinions, but you are goofy. That episode was simple but fun. It seams like you are an Arnold hater.
I'll tell you what's wrong with the episode. They piss on his character at every single opportunity, he gets nothing and so it doesn't feel right because he is made a joke of ALL the time.
@ he gets a redemption arc
I agree. That was probably my most favorite episode followed by W40k.
I find it hilarious how I was more invested in the 15 minutes of the runtime of the Concord episode then I was in the entirety of the 2 and a half hours I played the open beta
Arnold’s bad voice acting is what makes him so funny to me
I thought it was a loving parody of Arnold and I was shocked to discover it actually *was* him.
He sounds like he had fun with it.
