Hi Carol - great question! Lightweight and durability can often be a tricky combination because the lighter shoes tend to shed protective material to cut down on weight. With that said, there are some reliable options out there - here are a few that strike a balance: - Asics Solution Speed FF - adidas Adizero Ubersonic 3 - Head Sprint Pro 3 - Wilson Rush Pro 3 - Babolat Jet Mach II I've stacked ranked them in order of my preference for overall performance. I hope that helps!
Hi there! Great question. My favorite line of shoes for comfort are Asics - they're excellent for that priority. Here are my top 3 picks from their line: - Court FF 2: Top pick (durability/stability) - Gel Resolution 8: Close 2nd (durability/stability) - Solution Speed FF: Lightweight option If you're looking outside of the Asics line, I'd check out: - New Balance Fresh Foam Lav - adidas adizero Ubersonic 3 - K-Swiss Ultrashot 2 - Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 4 - adidas SoleMatch Bounce I do love what some of Nike's shoes have to offer, but they don't make the cut when it comes to comfort as a priority. Hope that helps!
@@TennisCompanion hey thanks for the reply, i ordered the Zoom Vapor X anyway to see what the fuss is about, i must say this is a terrible shoe, one of the most uncomfortable nike shoes ever, i don't understand the logic behind making shoe so narrow around the toe area, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING THIS SHOE TO ANYONE, i think i will return mine, and check out the other suggestions you gave!
You're welcome! Thanks for following up to share your take on the shoe. If you struggled with how narrow the Vapor X's were in the toe box, then a shoe from the adidas line might be an ideal option. They're a bit wider upfront, so if you feel like you need a bit extra breathing room, I think you'd find that. The Asics shoes I mentioned tend to fit a little snug out of the box, but in my opinion, it's a comfortable snug with lots of padding in a medium width, which does loosen up a bit over time. Figured I'd mention that so you weren't surprised if you opted for one of those pairs.
Hi Nguyễn - I'm hoping to review the Asics Gel Resolution 8 sooner than later, but in the meantime, here's a quick high-level comparison: Nike Air Zoom Vapor X Pros - Lightweight - Stable - Great traction - Well-ventilated Cons: less durability, less comfort Asics Gel Resolution 8 Pros - High comfort - Stable - Durable - Excellent traction Cons: a bit heavier, less ventilation
Hi there, I found the Air Zoom Zero to have a little extra room lengthwise, so if your feet are snug in that manner, then you could consider bumping up a half size, but I'd only do that if you felt like the Air Zoom Zero were borderline cramped. Personally, I stick to the same size in both shoes. All the best, Jon
Hi there, These shoes are designed specifically for tennis and are excellent for that purpose, but I wouldn’t recommend them for running. All the best, Jon
Well done... Excellent review, honest review. Clear, Concise and To The Point.
Great video. Keep producing these. One of the best, undersubscribed tennis channels on RUclips
Great content and presentation! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the feedback and encouragement, Aehjai - I really appreciate it!
Do you know the heel drop in this shoe? I'm looking for something similar to the vapor x. Thanks.
Hi! I’m looking for a very lightweight and durable tennis! Which one would u recommend?

Shoe used to be comfortable, nice fit, lighter and durable. Nowadays, shoe just break after 3 months of use. This sucks... what a BS market ploy
so i'm looking for comfort as a priority, which tennis shoe do you recommend?

If i wear the nike air zoom zero at a quite snug 6, should i go with a 6 on this shoe too?

Can I wear those casually?
Hi Marlon - great question! I would recommend it. Their rigidity doesn't make for comfortable casual wear.
Are these for running or only for tennis?
Hi there,
These shoes are designed specifically for tennis and are excellent for that purpose, but I wouldn’t recommend them for running.
All the best,
Jon
