Completely agree with your assessment of non hacking- it’s a non issue. It’s actually fun to synch them up. I’ve got a non hacking El Primero, set it and forget it.
The 5296 Sector is nice, but for a little bit more you could have gotten the 5396 Sector dial watch with Annual calendar & Moonphase with a more balanced dial.
Two magnificent pieces Uptick. Congratulations 🍾. I’ve been keeping an eye open for that sector dial reference in white gold and will pounce when the price and condition are right.

My Breguet Classique 5140 doesnt have hacking seconds either. I dont think many of the higher end brands offer it. I dont care; I've never had the desire to set my watch to an atomic clock. It's more about the look of the design for me.
Conjure up the image of "watch", and most people see a Rolex Sub, an AP Royal Oak, a Casio G-shock, a Cartier Tank....I see a Patek Philippe Calatrava Reference 96 :)
if you keep money in Bank, the bank will offer you this and that, and every department store put on sales to lure you to spend the savings. But if you put your money in watches it is safer than you put in bank. At least you can not exchange your watches to buy food or holidays. The only problem when you have too many watches, you need to keep them in the safe which is not always safe.

Funny I'm thinking of getting a 5134j. Going to first check how it looks on wrist before deciding. But assume size will be good on my 16 cm wrist.

Hey great video. Do you notice the rotor sound from your 5296? Mine seems quite loud and not sure if it is abnormal or not
It's normal. I usually don't notice it but it's how they are now.
