I know Ireland’s who live on the island. And their kids my age (both a couple years older) in EHT in NField. I know first names I just didn’t want to put anyone on blast.
I have such great memories of Pleasantville. I grew up in Philly, but my grandparents had a place on Loraine Avenue. I spent my summers here. Franklin Road didn't always exist. Loraine Avenue was one long street. They actually moved some houses to put Franklin Avenue in. We didn't own a boat or anything, but we used to go crabbing where that "yacht club" now stands. It was just small fishing boats there back in the day and all that fencing wasn't there. We stood and crabbed right at the end of road there where the wall is and my dad and uncle would walk down to the end of the piers. So simple back then. No one would chase you. I imagine they would now. The building was a little old shack to buy bait and sandwiches and stuff. I remember an old guy worked it. Simpler times when a day of crabbing was all it took to occupy us kids. ❤Interesting how so much has changed, but so much has also stayed the same. I remember my dad getting his case of beer at that liquor store drive through and that Jo-Jo's restaurant was an Arthur Treacher's seafood restaurant. Main Street hasn't changed much. The businesses changed, but the buildings didn't.
Yo least it like K&A in Philly…. For real. Thank god it not like that. It’s so bad up there. Omg it’s legit walking dead it’s just so sad. Lost so many just this last year. Smh. So sad.
I'm originally from Philly. Then moved down the shore. I got a great house in Pville. Right on the absecon border. I love it, but it's not near anything... we of course took all safety measures, but we do that no matter where we are. But yeah prices down here are insaneeeee run down tear downs are selling in Pville for 200k. When back in 2019 they were selling for 80k for a house that needed some work and 150k for a turnkey, all that. Is triple now. So it was Pville. Or homeless. I choose Pville. Although the next street is where absecon starts
I honk when I have to go past my own house and someone told me this was on RUclips!!!
What up PVille- that’s right near my home town Absecon.
My Great Grandfather Scotty Ireland was the mayor of Pleasantville during World War 2

Do you consider Pleasantville safe? We drive through there on our way to the shore and some areas do look kind of rough.
Yeah I think certain parts are rough but I believe they've had a huge drop in violent crime and other serious offenses.
