both judoka's and bjj practitioner dream of that because then you will have the best of both worlds. Honestly i think something like that will not happend ,because of different view of combat and judo is a olympic sport and bjj not.
You have to look at rulesets and adoption. The problem with judo in particular is that it’s less likely to adapt as an Olympic sport, but the point systems in other submission grappling are more flexible. Since fans are tired of seeing butt scoots and pulling guard, a point system which rewards standup more heavily is needed.
I've been doing bjj for almost 9 years now and Andres is the best bb I've ever rolled with. It's humbling to see even a bb of that caliber is humble enough to be a white belt in another sister art.
Hey JFlo been a fan for years I hope you’re still doing graphic design, but you’ve really found your calling with the coaching content man. Can we get a home studio/gym tour?? Maybe a day in the life what you’re doing for longevity ?? You’re the man keep it up
If you're into fundamental principles of gripping and footwork for your stand-up game, Travis Stevens and Shintaro Higashi have great videos from novice to high level competitor
Thats why i stopped training Judo ( started in 30s), constantly almost being tossed to the floor like this tall guy with funny "Czechoslovak soccer player" haircut 😅
lol i don't think anyone who's trained in both would ever say that, judo is much rougher hard on the body and painful. the "ju" in ju do and ju jitsu are "gentle" compared to fucking slicing someone with a katana hh
Lol, you go look up some videos of Judo throws in MMA. A lot of MMA fighters, let alone champions have either backgrounds, or a black belt in Judo. Judo works great both with and without the gi. It all takes training.
@@ryanwilliams9984 until you’ve experienced it you won’t really understand the advantage judo has over Wrestling. Exist but you need to be open minded to it. Wrestling only exists as a sport, which means the only concern is getting your techniques to a workable order. If you can go out there and double leg, everybody, you can’t. And it doesn’t even necessarily have to be one with perfect techniqu if you’re strong enough. That experience is very valuable, and there’s obviously a reason Wrestling is represented the way it is. This isn’t even saying that Wrestling doesn’t generate highly skilled and technical fighters, because it does. But it’s a completely different level in judo. Every single throw in judo is based on mechanics which work regardless of the gi. The gi is just a firm fabric that allows you to do the same things with extra sensitivity, allowing you to do details that are too subtle to learn without ever experienced them in the gi Watch this very teacher, jflo was a division 1 wrestler and is a huge advocate for judo for mma. The majority of his popular stuff is actually no gi
there’s sooo much knowledge to learn in judo
Always something new to add!
Believe me, BJJ and Judo are destined to merge again.
If I have anything to do with it

Again! Judo never separated..
Bjj is judo with a different rule set
This is what I love to see! Good black belts make good learners. JFlo thank you for all that you do for spreading judo to the BJJ guys.
Thank Andris for learning a new craft after being a master in jiu jitsu
Bro styled on all of us then casually threw in a montage, music included at the end. Incredible.
Glad you enjoyed!
1:39 “I could goon you…” That’s my favourite grip! 😂
The goon step is a great option!
JFLO is a legend man. He has made me try and improve my stand up just from his videos
Uchi mata clinic 🔥‼️
One of my go to's!
This was a great video. I have wanting to find a good judo gym. This is my jam

Judo is a must!
Or both
I’m judoka I will apply the te Waza or the Kouchigari make him loose balance, he is concentrated on the uchimata, apply the otoshi too and arm pin
Cool stuff about the grips, but man do those butt patches look terrible.
oh good... he's going murder everyone with judo too
Just watch! 👀
A better title would have been Justin telling Andris fuck you for 3:47 minutes
Andris is a student of the game! Has my respect
@@JFLOJUDO I love his instructionals

Someone likes uchi mata...
Bjj is judo newaza.
Its Kosen Judo.
Accept that.
It is Judo.
Judo came from jiu jitsu…judo is a more gentle art..
Judo came from Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Then Brazilian Jiu Jitsu came from Judo (Which was first known as Kano Jiu Jitsu).

White belt kkkkkk
Keep learning and drill!
judo is practically useless without the gi, rather have wrestling

Bot account take
The gi is what makes judo, judo. Pretty much all throws in judo exist in freestyle. You do what you want bro 😂 everyone else is here to learn
