This is so sad.... What's crazy is not only that she got out recent, but that she was even sentenced. Sure, she conspired and was assisting to end her mother, but I feel that she should have had some pardoning for what she did. It's not like she would be a danger to anyone else(well, it's hard to say what her mental state is really). her so called demon "mother" destroyed her life. I don't even want to image.... a feeding tube into the stomach...? She couldn't even enjoy the pleasure of eating food.... That's sick. All while her mother probably ate well.

The part where her teeth starts decaying wasnt because of the sugar, it was because of the medicine dee dee forced her to take.

Also had the drs remove her salivatory glands so combined with the medication and lack of spit her teeth decayed.
It was because her mother said there was something wrong with her salivatory glands and had them removed by operation. This caused her teeth to rot because we need saliva

@@MrE_ he wasn't coerced with lies, threats, and violence. He wasn't forced to be in a wheelchair or have his teeth removed. When you take that away it's just 1st degree murder. His situation and Gypsy's are not comparable. He's lucky they didn't seek the death penalty.
@@AlvinKazu She said she was happier in prison than living with her mom because she was allowed to be a normal person. It was premeditated murder and wasn't for self-defense. That's typically 1st degree murder and either death or automatic life without the possibility of parole. So getting a sweet deal for 2nd degree murder and only having to serve 8 years is exceptionally generous.

This movie is based on the true story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, victim of munchausen by proxy (she made a STORM on the Internet when she was granted parole at the beginning of 2024). It is EXTREMELY important to remember this is an adaptation that took a LOT of liberty in the writing, also the family never recieved any royalties for this show.
Fun fact: Although the show was inaccurate and cheated her out of money, Gypsy actually complimented the actors of the show. If you treat The Act as a fictional show, then yes, it's a great show with good writing and acting. But don't base your opinion of the Truth on something trying to maximize money 🤑
