Then set it aside to cool. 4) Whisk together the margarine/softened butter and caster sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. 5) Add the self-raising flour, eggs and vanilla and whisk until just combined. 6) Scoop the mix into your baking tin and smooth it out. 7) Bake for 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. 8) Carefully place the warm cake on cling film and brush over the cooled sugar syrup. 9) Wrap the cling film around the cake and let it cool fully. 10) For the icing, mix together the icing sugar and boiling water until thick and smooth. 11) Unwrap the cake from the cling film, then pour the icing over the top and smooth it out. 12) Cover it in sprinkles. 13) Enjoy!
