if link could have gotten steel gauntlets then you 100% should have been able to talk to duke horatio for an anti dragon shield

@@AntiSora2 No, it’s free to get from duke horacio after quest. It 100% should’ve been allowed considering link talking to npc’s for amulet, gloves, etc. Wish they would communicate on those things to make it more fair.
I dunno why Rargh said "buy" either since you can get it free from dukie boy instead of paying oziach

I have an idea for a challenge miniseries: Then we fight but you can choose each other's combat style(you reveal what the other's style will be at the same time). Then you each have a few hours to gather gear for that combat style. Maybe it can be a miniseries and you can't pick the same style twice in a row, and the final fight could be a choice between one of the setups you had in the previous episodes
As someone who just went 1357 dry of a first whip on an iron and went 1900 dry in leagues 1, I was really worried when they both immediately went whip.
At least their super fast to kill. I bursted on my Iron, like 1,100kc for the first whip and I think I was getting 200kills/hour. Not too bad a place to go dry on iron, hopefully you got better luck after tho haha.
@@markhuffman4187 well, I'm currently 460 dry on my first trident from the little cave kraken, so not really.
I know the feeling.. i went about 2.5k dry on whip, i was starting to believe runelite was hiding the drops.
Kraken was good to me though, had like 7 tridents in 500kc
I am currently about 150 kc dry on barrows :( I don't do barrows anymore ever
I also went 2k dry in leagues and everyone in my clan got it less than 50 😭😭
No mention on the nightmare pet at 28 kc. Cold world.
If rargh got the whip it would've been such a one sided fight with this venge sacks.
Would love to see another bidding wars episode with primarily underused weapons and gear. Stuff like the Leaf-Bladed Battleaxe, Dragon Sword, Dragon Mace, granite hammer, staff of balance, tome of water, bloodbark/swampbark armors, Barrelchest Anchor, Obby Armor, D’hide Shields, etc. Really fun episode though.

You could have grabbed the anti-dragonfire shield by talking to the Duke who just gives it you. Unless you consider that a shop.

Same challenge, but it`s okay to get items using conversations like with anti-dragon shield and climbing boots etc.
Seeing as how Link used Gnome Amulet, it was already allowed.
@@hellomynameisscott4956 I don't think he really thought of it as not allowed. Since it's not a shop. But he probably shouldn't have been able to. But it didn't matter in the fight anyway because it only gives Melee defence

If u dont have one anti dragon shield in your bank, the duke in lumby will give you one. Tecnically that is not a shop :)

I bet a two hour whip, 3 chest tank body from Barrows & 10KC Obby shield make it a bit easier to be team Link though :P

Using some sort of rules, you have 3 hours to gear up BUT YOU CAN ONLY GET YOUR FINAL FIGHT GEAR BY USING OBSCURE ITEMS FOR EACH SLOT. Stuff that most people would say "oh yeah, that exists!" Stuff like the broodoo shield, blurite items, skull scepter, ogre bow etc
Love the 10 hour then we fights! Love the progression but so good to have some of these back. I’ve watched the original ones so many times

I just love how we get to watch the different way that RNGesus blesses them. Rargh gets random garbage from the rdt. Link gets everything he could have ever wanted. #TeamRargh 🥲

You guys should consider adding some kind of “drop rate clause” on your challenges to avoid something like going 700+ dry on a whip. If you killed enough monsters to hit the drop rate of a high end item in a challenge video you can easily justify “earning” it. It doesn’t negate busted rng of getting something early but it does prevent getting dogged by rng at the end of the day.
It would obviously need a few stipulations here or there like if you use anything else from its drops add that rate to the required KC or something to that regard. Maybe I’m just salty about links luck though, who knows.

To be honest I feel like whackEX about the whips drop rate. Along with many of the rates from many monsters. I have 7500+ Abby demon kc and I’ve gotten no more then 6 whips and still no head for slayer helmet
I think a your next challenge should involve you and link each coming up with 5 restrictions and 5 boons, putting them together and rolling 1 of each. For instance you might get ranged only, but start with 50k cash or no prayer but get a rune pickaxe. It should be balanced since the person submitting the ideas doesn’t know if they, or the other, will get it so you don’t want to make it too weak or too strong. Time on the board, no pre planning routes, so you’ve gotta think on your feet.
That was surprisingly close. Just a bit more luck with veng and it could've gone the other way.

good fight lads. One of these days Rargh's superior planning will result in a win over Link's RNG. Maybe give it a few years but it will happen.
You all should think about if you go drop-rate for an item you can get that Item out of the back so RNG doesn't fuck you completely. Still having the kill 500+ Abby demons is a lot but it would also be cool so the little stuff.
Chaos elemental has common drop for dragon dagger and weapon poison ++. Neither went for spec weapon :(
i like the longer ones where you can fully gear up
do the same challenge with a different weapon, and limited house tele’s to add a sense of strategy with them

Before I got hacked and quit 6 months ago I went over 2k abyssal demon kills with no whip lol. I hated that slayer task after a while.

You can get an anti-fire shield from the nightmare zone if you take elvarg as a boss. They spawn on the ground in nmz. Is that cheating?
