Thank you for getting to the point quickly! So many channels are like “Before we show you how to do this, let’s recap the history of the iPad real quick…”
thank you so much! So many tutorials just say "go to system settings on your mac and mirror it to your ipad". I couldn't ever figure out why I never got that option. Now i know we need bluetooth enabled, same wifi network, and needs to be signed into same icloud (I have one for work and personal). Thanks it finally worked for me.
Thank you for the video, very helpful! I just wanna emphasize one more time. Make sure your Ipad and Macbook log into the same Apple ID COMPLETELY. I didn't change my Apple ID for iCloud after logging out of my old apple id. You know Apple device basically allows you to use different id for Icloud and Media. So there's one more step to go and save your time.
I was just about to get either an asd or an imac , then found this jaw dropping feature… utterly mind blowing … saved me a fortune too… i’m genuinely gob smacked
Thank you for the concise and succinct step by step instructions. Wasted lots of time looking at tutorials and yours is exactly what I need. Thank you so much!! You’ve got a new like and sub.
soo i used to use this feature on my 8th gen ipad and just bought a 10th gen a few days ago and couldnt get it to work. all my settings were correct on my macbook and ipad but the ipad wouldnt show up no matter what, tried toggling bluetooth and wifi off and on and rebooted both devices and finally tried one last thing. if you cant get it to work connect them both with a usb c cable, when i did that my mac popped up with some kinda required update and that fixed it for me
can it done by using different icloud (ipad using account A, mac book using account B). I want to do it with my personal ipad, but my mac using icloud from the office.
love the vid!! i have a question tho. when i tried this, my mouse was stuck on the ipad screen and i couldn't use the mouse on my Mac. how can i fix this or am i missing something??? thanks in advance :)
Is there a shortcut for switching between mac and iPad? Would love to just click a button instead of banging my mouse so it can sense that I want to work on one display rather than the other and be able to switch between displays more quickly
Wow never knew this is a thing. I even had to buy an external monitor lol. Never signed in to my ipad because I can’t figure out the sync stuff with my work notes which I do not want on my ipad. Just noticed it for the first time lol when trying the new tile arrangement in Sequioa
I’ve done this, seems to work, but the Mac screen does some weird stuff as they are different resolutions. It’s kinda irksome with the staticy-looking side bars.
I think in the settings there is some thing where you can set if the device should receive or send to another device, maybe you have that flipped the wrong way
I got it to work but it is very buggy. I'm running macbook pro 2019 and a 9th generation ipad. I cant drag a window from macbook onto ipad screen, and when i drag my cursor from macbook to ipad, it gets stuck on the ipad and wont transfer back over to the macbook. also when the cursor moves over to the ipad, ipad goes from being a second screen and changes back to the ipad display, only now i have a macbook cursor on my ipad display. basically, the only thing i can do is show my computer desktop on the ipad screen, but as soon as i try to interact with it, it becomes extremely buggy.
Sorry to hear you are having issues. It looks like either your devices maybe struggling to keep up with the new features and there may not be a workaround for this.
I tried this for so long and it never worked. No other video i watched mentioned that it doesnt work with all devices, but because of this one i checked and my ipad is 5th generation, but it needs to be 6th generation or newer for this to work :(

Yes everything is connected on same Wi-Fi and blue tooth is enabled. I can share my screen for iPad to my laptop but not other way around. I believe both sidecars are set up. Maybe not my laptop? It has screen mirror in right hand corner.
Thanks for the video. But, there is an issue when I want to use brave browser on ipad in full screen and chrome on mac in fullscreen. When full screen is enabled on mac, the ipad doesn't show brave browser. What's the solution?

Can we make this with Macbook and Android tablet? (Samsung Galaxy S7 FE)
You can but require third party apps enable for this to work.
Can you help me because I can't find 3th party apps about this. I research but ı can't find good app. Thanks for your answer.😀

Can you use the ipad touch screen to operate what's mirrored? Or will that still be done from the laptop?
Ipad will work as an external monitor so you can't use it. you can control the shared screen on ipad via macbook's track pad.
@@AnuragSingh-kg1yn thanks !

just use the wire to connect. Over wifi is bad 😅
Can this be done wired as well or only over wifi/bluetooth?
Wired too! Less latency with a wired method
is there a way to get rid of that boarder with all the little setting thats on the ipad when your using it as a monitor
