Aren't they really brothers? They were born on the same day/month/year and were both orphans... and will had blue eyes, after which they turned purple. I haven't read the manga and I would like to know if they really are brothers or if that last name is just because they are from the same orphanage.

From what I know in the manga, Elfaria backstory isn't more indepth than Will, but we know that both Will and Elfaria were in the same orphanage as a "kid"... as for Will, there are some panels of him as a "baby" with a woman (most likely his real mom)
Not married. I think the reason they have the same last name is because they used to live in the same orphanage when they were a kid, and they must've took on the same last name.
