38. PCC Trolleys On Richmond Street | SEPTA Route 15

After so much anticipation and a shot list that's been sitting for eight years, I went to finally see SEPTA restore some of their 1947 PCC trolley fleet into service on Route 15. Route 15 runs from 63rd and Girard to Richmond and Westmoreland (West Philadelphia to Port Richmond) via Girard Avenue and Richmond Street. The trolleys ride so smooth and they get to open up on Richmond Street versus the stop-and-go and slow speeds on the other traffic-choked parts of the line. June 16th, 2024 (Father's Day) was the first day of revenue service.

I will probably rail fan that once the weather gets civilized. I don’t like the hot weather.
