This may sound odd.. MsMojo has a video from a few years back about Betty White. She's the one sole thing here in the U.S we all agree on. She will be 100 in January, and is the epitome of an American Icon, and a trail blazer in many ways. She even helped in WW2 I believe I could be wrong about the war. Sometimes we jokingly say we have a queen of the U.S and she's Betty White
One thing about the US Navy's lack of ship-based anti-ship missiles: US warships use a modular launch system that is capable of firing any of our current inventory of missiles. For this scenario, it is realistic to assume that many of the ships would have their normal missile loadouts swapped out for more anti-ship capability (we have a lot of these missiles in storage).
@Dacholo That's actually a good idea. I seen his reaction to the most expensive homes in America. They mentioned the former home of Cher and said he didn't know who she was.. I was shocked 😳
I’m a marine. And I’ve served with many Royal Marines. Some of the toughest marines I’ve had the honor of serving with. We would never hurt any of you. We are brothers and sisters we just live far apart. I’d die for your country and I know your marines would die for ours.
this makes me so proud of our alliance. there really isnt a story like it in history to my knowledge. once the same coutnrty. then mortal enemies then fighting as brothers in ww1 and ww2 to save the world. our countries bond is like no other.
I am an US Air Force veteran and I was stationed in the UK at RAF Alconbury, Huntington in Cambridgeshire. Even though you feel like you’re in a foreign country, you’re really not because that was our roots 200+ years ago and we share a common language (unless you’re trying to communicate with a Scottish Highlander, LOL). My point is “we are brothers and sisters, we just live far apart”
UK and USA are VERY tight and there is ZERO chance of hostilities between the two countries. We are allies for centuries to come. Bad news for any enemies stupid enough to engage us in war.
I'm a US army vet. I served in Iraq and Afghanistan. During that time I had the great honor of serving shoulder to should with some British Royal Marines. I can tell you from first hand experience, you'd be hard pressed to convince US forces to attack the UK. The men i had the pleasure of serving with are a cut above. In both Skill and Moral Integrity the British soldiers I stood with are my family for life. When a man you've never met before, from another country drags you out of a flaming truck, and says, "Don't worry mate, it's fine now. We've got ya." you do feel some kinda way about it. My job in the army had me commonly referred to as a "bomb magnet". That translates to I was a truck driver. When our convoy got hit, it was a British Marine who pulled me out of that smoldering wreck. I never got to know the man. After I woke up I asked who it was and no one knew. We had quite a large group of Royal Marines that served with us at that time. I was sent home after that as I could no longer walk. I lost a large chunk of muscle out of my legs and most of my right knee was out right removed. Today, I walk with a cane, and my have a service dog to help me do things. I wouldn't have that chance if it hadn't been for the Royal Marines. So with all that in mind, You'd REALLY struggle to convince the US army to fire one shot in anger at the UK. They're our brothers and sisters in arms and we all love them dearly. Cheers for your good vibes and wonderful videos.
What a story… God bless men and women like yourself who put yourself in unconscionably perilous circumstances for the sake of our country. I wish you were able to find out who that hero was who pulled you out of the truck… Maybe he was your British guardian angel? Thank you for your service.
from what I'm reading in this comment section, if the U.S leaders told their troops to attack the U.K, every single American in the army or not would tie the American flag and union jack flag together, stomp their foot down to the ground and defy orders.

I believe that most Americans would consider an attack on Britain to be an attack on the United States. Britain, Canada, Australia and the US are like one big extended family.
Since the US navy has a destroyer named "Winston S Churchill" and it always has a British naval officer stationed on board, I doubt this would ever happen.
We share the ISS with Russia. Sharing operators doesn't really mean a whole lot. Russia's about ready to separate the Russian part of the ISS from the US part. We won't ever go to war with Britain for other reasons, though, namely that they are our best ally in the entire world. Russia on the other hand... we're fast heading to a conflict with them.
Former USAF intelligence analyst here...his numbers for air supremacy are quite generous :). The US would have air superiority within 4-5 days and total air supremacy in less than 2 weeks. 75-80% of UK air assets would never get off the ground. But, we're friends and this would never happen. Cheers!
I agree. I feel like the overall timeline was extremely generous to the UK's fighting effort. Former USAF KC-10(A) crew chief. We love our cousins though and would never do this to them.
After the first week or so of gaining air superiority, the US would spent the next few weeks (safely) taking out any strategic target with smart bombs. If there was no total surrender in a month, I would be surprised. More surprising would be if the US actually needed to deploy ground troops at all.
As an American, i would find it inconceivable that we would ever consider any military aggression against the UK Separated by sea but joined at the hip 🥰
The US/UK special relationship is something a lot of Americans and especially our military are proud of and care about. I am a former US soldier and the UK is the only other nation I would have been like "let's go!" to defend. I can't imagine the scenario in which our nations would fight
God Bless You and thank you for your service!❤️ I could see a scenario where once the Arabs take over the whole country, (it’s coming, sooner or later) they could be become a hostile threat requiring some attention. I pray not, but I’m not optimistic for the future of GB 🇬🇧
You say this, but 200 years ago, the UK was doing everything they could to conquer us. But yeah... Now, in the current political and diplomatic climate? Not a chance.
There's a term used, "Special Relationship". To give some context, we basically share nearly all nuclear tech and intelligence data with each other. By all metrics we are the least likely to ever attack the other.
but we really don't I may see it as a big brother little brother thing but it wasn't until WW2 we even started this friendship. After WW1 we created the Washington Naval Treaties to break the UK's alliance with Japan. Until that was broken we were more likely to go to war with them than anyone else in the world. The treat was real and the three countries knew it. Though we got early research from the UK for the Manhattan Project, and needed Churchill to agree to the bombings in Japan, we did not transfer the tech back to the UK after the war.
klcs77 Actually it before WW2 that the special relationship between the US and UK started. It was the Bore war in the1800's that brought the two countries together. The US sided with the UK when pretty much all of Europe was against the UK in favor of the Dutch during the Bore conflict. It WW1 pretty much solidified the relationship between the two nations, so when WW2 started there was no doubt about who America would fight along side she she entered the war.
@@erinstanger416 we were part of the inter-war naval treaties to break the alliance between the UK and Japan. That was a real threat to be the next war for the US coming out of WWI. Since that was the last time the US and UK truly had a chance and a strong one to go to war with each other the special relationship could not have been started in truth before that time.
@@klcs77 The special relationship between the US/UK wasn't just about the military. It was also about economics and trade. A lot of what you wrote is true, but because much of the military technology that two countries used in WW2 didn't exist when the special relationship started in the 1800's. The economics of the SR really laid ground work for the two countries to build their up trust and militaries to work together when the world wars happen.
"I definitely want to be on you guys' side" You've discovered one of the main functions of the US military. I mean, obviously it's also very effective at delivering an overwhelming amount of force if need be as well, but ideally the hope is that potential enemies will take a look at the honestly absurd scale and technological scope of our military and say, "nah man, I'm not gonna piss them off, let's just be friends instead."
This is very true: it was a product of the Cold War arms race, the term for it is “MAD”, or Mutually Assured Destruction, and other countries looked at the United States while it was winning the race and said “I definitely want to be on your side.”
@@jiisdown2195 exactly. speak softly and carry a big stick. or as Theodore Roosevelt said "Do not boast or utter verbal threats, but do make others aware that you are prepared to use physical force if necessary"

I’m positive that if any nation invaded Canada, Mexico, UK, New Zealand, or Australia, the US would immediately respond with full power. We’re from different countries, but we view all of you as pretty much brother sister countries.
I have no doubt about that. We as a military nation are always on alert, and if anyone decided to mess with an ally, it's full throttle from the US military.
Absolutely. We take NATO very seriously as well. The current command is still PISSED about getting pushed into Iraq and Afghanistan as well. Lots of steps taken in the past decade to prevent being used as a tool for the rich to get richer.
The US has a huge economy and a huge military. It's important to remember that the latter is an accident of history: when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor our military was quite small compared to European powers. World War 2 changed everything.
we gained our wealth and position in the world by financing and "winning" two massive wars in the 1900's. The victors write the history books and draw the borders. Control the money and the policy. WW2 specifically catapulted the US into the forefront. people seem to forget that America did not start or want either war. really had not much to do with either until completely provoked and dragged into it. if pearl harbor had never happened. Nato probably wouldn't exist. there's a very good chance that Germany is the superpower of the 20th century. and everything is different just insanely different. So with that being said, the Japanese are probably in a very specific way. directly responsible for american dominance. of course the US was already profiting massively off of the war at that time. but the world policy and the way the borders get shaped would have unfolded completely differently. the "reichsmark" would probably be the dominating world currency. russia would've been diced up and may not really exist in a formal way at all. same with all of europe, except maybe switzerland(sly dogs). and if i had to guess Japan would gain a massive portion of new land. china would get smothered and wouldn't be what they are today. who knows what happens in africa and the middle east. its just insane how pivotal of an event pearl harbor was. it truly triggered the modern world as we know it.
Everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. US forieng diplomacy went from isolationist except exploiting South America countries, to international superpower exploiting South American countries and trying to exploit half of Europe.
I've been to the UK twice....love the country and the people! Y'all are like cousins and I'm glad we're friends. If anything we would have each other's back against anyone and everyone else.
I'll never forget the British Invasion of the US in the 1960s!! Starting with the Beatles, then Stones, and it continued into the 70s with Elton John, ELO, then the 80s with the Police etc... It never stopped!!
What if..... King George gave US citizens rights - no revolutionary war, no dead, slavery abolished in 1820, so no civil war, more no dead. Would WWI or WWII had happened with a powerful commonwealth??

I live in "military city, USA". 3 out of 4 people in my life have or do serve in the military. From every one of my uncle's and aunts including my father and cousins all served. San Antonio TX is a very military orientated city. I actually live a stones throw from an AF base with 2 other bases less than 3 miles apart. I wake to the sound bugles through loud speakers on the base every morning . All of my friends and family that serve over seas have brilliant stories of their British military counterparts. Nothing but love from us!
Toss some good ol' SA soil into the air for me. I enlisted in the Navy from my hometown of San Antonio. Grew up 1 mile south of Loop 410 off of 181 South. I currently live in Alabama but I've lived in almost every State south of the Mason Dixon. I may make it back home when I fully retire.
Most Brittish soldiers I've encountered have the same passion for freedom as American soldiers. We simply have more toys. 1V1 Brittish Marines are tough bastards. US wins regardless but it's not a shot at the Royal Marines or Brittish Infantry. I prefer American training and our patriotism by far but much respect to the UK.
Similarly, I have as well. Another huge advantage is the sheer size, polulation, and diversity of the US. And I am not talking about lgtb stuff diversity. But rather the number of foreign bases, variety of weaponry, technology, climate , and warfare techniques. Because the UK is, relatively speaking, so small and combined, it would take significantly less sat bombs or infantry to devistate the country or government. Whereas the UK would essentually have to split up effectively say 40+ different attacks to do a similar thing.
I was stationed at RAF Mildenhal back in the 80's and I often admired some of the advanced equipment our British cousins had deveolped. I personally would never consider attacking an ally.
I was in the US ARMY from 1980-2005 (12B5PS) and served alongside British soldiers in peacetime (Germany), and during conflict (Bosnia, Afghanistan), and they were some of the finest troops I ever served with. You must know that we are allies now and forever.

It would be a rather extreme situation. I could see it happening but it would need to be something like the UK has a coup after a highly extreme situation like Euro logistics utterly failing and the US being too busy fighting WW3 or something.

My late uncle was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He spent three and a half years in the South Pacific and experienced a lot of bloody battles against the Japanese. When I was a kid and we asked him about his time in the service. I remember him saying once that when they were about to be sent on a mission, American sailors were always glad when they learned that the Australians, New Zealanders, and British would be coming along with them. While the British navy didn't have a huge presence in the South Pacific, the U.S. Navy and its sailors knew that the British, Australians and New Zealanders would fight their asses off along side them - and they did. @@shashwatsharma5458 People tend to go the route you've gone...China can produce a lot of ships. No argument. They can. But...China turned its back on seafaring when it shut down the Treasure Ships of Zhengh He in the fifteenth century. China has, since that time NO experience with globe spanning seafaring OR naval warfare. Starting right now China has to learn it all over again from the ground up. Japan and the US fought a brutal Pacific campaign while China was still landlocked due to its own decision NOT to expand its own naval ability. I'm not at all worried about a naval threat from China. They have no idea what they're getting into. American predominance in naval assets and Japan's resumption of naval armament are more..far more than a match for whatever it is China can send from its ports.
@@michaelfisher7170 Your history is off. China fought the British at sea in the First Opium war and had their ass handed to them. They tried to modernize their fleet in the late nineteenth century in response. They fought against the Japanese with modern warships in 1898 and again had their ass handed to them. China hasn't experienced a lot of victory at sea, but it's not for lack of trying. And while Chinese lack of recent naval warfare experience is definitely a hurdle to get over, the United States hasn't had to go toe to toe with a high-caliber navy since 1945. I think that the U.S. has the stronger navy of the two and if they engaged in battle anywhere except off the coast of China I'd say the Americans would win hands down. Where the two are likely to come to blows though, the U.S. advantage in experience is probably overmatched by the Chinese proximity advantage.
@@alanfriesen9837 I give you the assertion that proximity is an advantage but I'll remind you the Japanese proximity to their coast wasn't an advantage. Its about experience...what you've learned. And China hasn't learned for 500 years. Stop overrating their capability. You have no foundation on which to do so.
@@michaelfisher7170 The Japanese didn't lose the naval war in proximity to their coast. The lost it at Midway, in the Coral Sea, and in the Philippines. They also didn't have missile artillery that could strike a ship a hundred miles away. If China fights the United States the way Japan did, they'll get beat. If they fight where they can combine their naval, air force and missile assets, they might still get beat, but their odds are a whole lot better. China has no intention of fighting the last war. In fact, they'll avoid war altogether if they can. They know why Japan lost and they have no intention of following the IJN's example. I'm not sure that Chinese training is on par with U.S. training. I know that as recently as five years ago it was not. I also know that the Chinese are trying to address that issue. I think the U.S. Navy is an amazing military machine. But I don't have confidence that they can deliver a smackdown to the Chinese military in their own backyard.

We owe our nation, our culture, our laws, our language to Britain. The two always have each other's back. The two world wars, the Falklands, the Gulf Wars, etc. There is another video on RUclips that examines if the USA could defeat the rest of the world in a war. The USA military has agreed to secure relative world peace and the US Navy has provided safe shipping lanes for over 70 years. In exchange, it does throw its weight around politically. But I can't think of any time in world history, that a nation with so much power did not use it to conquer. It would never use that power against Great Britain.

We're more than friends. We are related. I cannot imagine a scenario that breaks this bond, nor a scenario where a 1st world Country such as U.K. and U.S. would even think they could get away with old school war.
In 1930, the US imposed tariffs on imports with the Smoot-Hawley tariffs, leading to much tension. As a result of this, the US drew up Plan Red, a proposal for the invasion of Britain. It involved the use of chemical weapons. So yes, we're related, but the special relationship as we know it is only a function of post-WWII Pax Americana. Even then, Britain refused to assist the US in Vietnam and then the US refused to provide public support for the Falklands War. It's only in the last 25 years or so that US/UK relations became as tight as it is. We even threatened to intervene militarily against France, the UK and Israel during the Suez Crisis.

To think we were once part of the British Empire, some 230 years later, the size and power difference between the two is just crazy. Good thing we are allies lol.

The British people were never our enemy. We are them and they are us. IT was always the damned king and the elite that wanted to slave us out that were the punks.

@hannahdyson7129 The UK did not request US assistance (other than intelligence, which they had been getting all along during that period). The UK preferred to handle it as the perfectly capable sovereign nation that they are.

Because the UK is, relatively speaking, so small and combined, it would take significantly less sat bombs or infantry to devistate the country or government. Whereas the UK would essentually have to split up effectively say 40+ different attacks to do a similar thing.

He had great respect for them.
My father used to tell of similar stories.

The second Largest naval fleet in the world is the US army's which consists of mainly transport and cargo ships which could deliver massive amounts of reenforcments and supplies.
I guess that is China or may be in 10 to 15 years they will surpass us in both tonnage and number of ships
You can't convince me that the Chinese fleet is prepared to confront what it faces...and that is multiple fleets who have waged seafare war for at least that long and which is entirely embryonic in its own development.

OMG, I'm an American whose childhood was in Scotland. Being an American youth stationed in Scotland starting in 1983 because my father was in the U.S. Navy and only getting transferred back to the U.S. in 1986 allowed us as a family to experience Scottish heritage (which I still hold close to my identity to this day)... but also allowed us to go on travel to England to see the other side. It's a unique perspective that I have because I see myself in two identities: American and Scottish. I appreciate both equally and look forward to going back to visit Scotland (Dunoon) soon. I was 6 years old going over and 10 years old coming back. Very impressionable years for me and I still have friends from then reaching out to me on Facebook. I consider myself very blessed to have had those experiences and memories from my childhood.
I am an American. The capabilities that we have that are public knowledge, are nothing compared to our classified arsenal. We could take the world down, and we aren't the only ones. I pray for peace.
Only if we used did a massive ICBM launch or released a bio weapon, and that missile system hasn’t even been spot tested in 60 years. There’s a significant possibility that those old rockets won’t launch or the launch system won’t really work (e,g all the codes) if push came to shove. Let alone the possibility that any President actually giving that order wouldn’t be shot dead by somebody in the room who’d rather not initiate Armageddon.
Invasion fleets also imply that you’re fighting a mostly conventional war. Nobody who has nukes has EVER faced a conventional military invasion; even places like Ukraine were only attacked after their politicians stupidity (or traitorously) gave away their bombs. And Britain is not some 3rd rate warlord state like Iraq or Libya. Even then, Britain refused to assist the US in Vietnam and then the US refused to provide public support for the Falklands War. It's only in the last 25 years or so that US/UK relations became as tight as it is. We even threatened to intervene militarily against France, the UK and Israel during the Suez Crisis.
@@SAVikingSA the US couldn’t help in the falklands because it would’ve destroyed them politically with Latin America as a whole and they didn’t even act even with a Monroe doctrine because UK is an ally plus Argentina hit first.

We are joined at the hip in more ways than most can imagine. The combination of the US UK, Australia and Commonwealth countries, along with strong nato Allies has no equal.
Well there was the Warsaw pact, and the ComIntern community. And a modern Russian/Chinese pact would certainly be a challenge.
@@cpob2013 russia struggles against ukraine. it would crumble if nato decided to strike moscow
To think we were once part of the British Empire, some 230 years later, the size and power difference between the two is just crazy. Good thing we are allies lol.
245 years ago actually but still
@@brendanmarr9048 Yeah, I just didn't want to do the math lol.
Hamilton predicted this to a smaller degree.
It's ironic now our oldest enemy is probably our greatest ally in the world right now. I believe there is a saying about Time and Wounds to describe things like that.
The British people were never our enemy. We are them and they are us. IT was always the damned king and the elite that wanted to slave us out that were the punks.
I don't know about oldest enemy.. I think that would probably be the french or some native american tribe. THe colonies were part of Britain at first after all, and the revolutionary war was not just fought between American colonists and British troops, but American rebels , American loyalists and British troops. Nowadays we view those loyalists as traitors or pretend like they mostly didn't exist, but back then a lot of people saw the rebels as the traitors, and probably would still have if the Brits had won.
@@simonphoenix3789 Oldest enemy would likely be Scotland and Ireland. Ireland moreso tbh. Since Englands formation we've been fighting them both and only relatively recently stopped fighting entirely, now it's just political fights lmao. The whole argument around America is interesting af to me because I believe at the time the population simply didn't care about America and would have been happy if we had them in parliament or just independent but our king quite literally was insane and decided to fight a war in Europe and across the ocean. Without war in Europe we likely would've never lost America.
It's what happens when a countries mean and do the things they say. The biggest key element is trust

Awesome video reactions!😊🙂
We are basically those family members that don’t see each other very much but when stuff goes down we have each other’s back
Yes as Peter Zeihan puts it the UK are our "cultural parents."
We're the misfit kid that fought with mom and got kicked out at 16 only to grow up rough and fast but incredibly strong through the turmoil. We still love mum and her tea cups and if anyone fucked with her we'd show up on their doorstep with a baseball bat and an ar15.
You didn't have our backs in Salisbury. So ....
@hannahdyson7129 The UK did not request US assistance (other than intelligence, which they had been getting all along during that period). The UK preferred to handle it as the perfectly capable sovereign nation that they are. The UK didn't call for an article 5, or a military response, but they did express appreciation that the US imposed sanctions. The UK is an ally. It's an independent nation. It's not a US state and needs to be respected as such.
@@twentyonegrams8617 Your president at the time tried to say it wasn't Russia who did it . Our Prime Minster went to ask for guidance and was told to ask Germany for that .
Hardly support when we need it
I’ve trained with British soldiers a couple years ago on Fort Carson while I was in the Army. They can absolutely give us a run for our money.💯👌🏾
The British prefer a small well trained and well equipped army, at least in peace time.
The U.S. just declared the British Army a Tier 2 Force. And barely. Most Brits agree. The conservatives have let the British Army fall apart. The French have a much better military and keep it sharp fighting in Northwest African countries like Mali.
This would likely cause a civil war in the usa in my opinion
Civil war? More live complete revolution as the government gets overthrown, I doubt anyone would support a invasion of Britian.
💯! We love our British friends.

This whole video was to say "Hey, we're friends, chill."
It pains my heart to even imagine going to war with the UK. They're essentially our big brother. We might not always agree on things, but the bond is inseparable and we should always have each others' backs. We can NEVER EVER let it happen.
You mean little brother lol
@@claycodrey5903 Older brother.
@@swaghauler8334 Older, smaller brother.
I've always thought of the UK as an older sister. We annoy each other but we're always their for each other.

As an American and I have to say this is a scenario that I cannot even fathom yes I get history every family has a little growing pains but I love my British brothers and sisters!
I served in the United States Army for 22 years and did Reforger with British Soldiers. Very Professional soldiers. America would never attack England. We are brothers
I did a few missions where it was a co op with the British and I’ll say this.. Our relationship is incredible, I could never see us in a war with GB
In the video the narrator keeps crossing out the C-130! I was a C-130 mech in the Marine Corps. I flew in a C-130T from St. John’s to England. The newer C-130J can fly from Maine to England no problem!
Considering the US is essentially the UK’s metaphorical child, it’s amazing how far we’ve come.
Yeah, it’s been a pretty good relationship since 1812.
@@fr33dom_s4int let bygones be bygones.
There are also 1,489,567 US troups stationed in Europe alone. This scenario is excluding the 750 military installations world wide. This scenario would be many times worse if they were included.
that’s an insane number
1.4 million stationed in Europe? Lmao that's odd considering the US total count for active military is just 1.3 million 😅 😅
brent jones, where on earth do you get that ridiculous figure from!?. I just googled it, and in 2021 there were just under 64,000 US troops in Europe!.
The UK is integral and absolutely necessary as an ally when regards the Russians. The UK intelligence, bases, and military are integral to overall defense of the Artic and Europe. It is unfathomable to imagine a scenario without Britain as an ally. There is no other country that has operated in tandem with US for so long in so many instances, e.g. F-35s landing equally on both UK, Japanese, Italian, French, and American carriers. Procedures, strategies, and tactics have been coordinated in tandem and practiced in exercises.
The Russians aren't a real threat. China is the threat.

It also helps that most citizens in UK don’t have their own firearms, greatly limiting their ability to form a resistance and engage in guerrilla warfare
Well if we kill ourselves first then technically 🤷
Just like in Ukraine they would arm their citizens under martial law
Unlike the US, where there is a gun for every blade of grass

From the UK I have to disagree. Sailsbury proves our point
I loved watching your reactions. We've been allies for a very long time, seriously doubt that will ever change. It was just that one little thing with disagreed with so many years ago. LOL... I think it's safe to say that America and Britain will always work in tandem.
We would never go to war with you guys we love you all to much ! And by some crazy change they would I'd lay down my arms and retire! Much love from the US my friends ❤️
Well, if you were to lay down your arms while enlisted in the US services, you wouldn't retire. You'd be sent to a military prison. But, you're right, the US and the UK would never fight.
