Don’t forget to practice retracting the initial thrust with the cane. You don’t want to leave your cane extended where an assailant might grab it and pull it out of your hand.

I'm not sure how much more I can stand. My Grandmother is in great pain. They intend to terminate my lease because of my sidewalk chalk evangelism. My hand has been broken, though I am on the mend. I have faith. I admit I ache. I accept responsibility. It's just the special kind of beating you get as a reminder life is not fair. I'm not afraid, I'm just hurting from the inside out. It'll pass. I will endure. Stubbornness and pride when I thought I had nothing left. Righteousness will be enough.

Can’t get in trouble for carrying a cane
I can’t do that. Every time I try to spin in my hand the shepherds hook traps on my wrist and I hurt myself.
Where do I get one of the Rattan canes for my wife. She’s frail and needs lightweight.
I carry my cane on my walker for tight places I can't take the walker ! Do you have any info about self-defense while holding to a walker ?

This is just something called Elderly Judo.
Not all who use canes are elderly. Judo is a lot of throwing. I’d call it a disguised self defense tool.
