Totally depends on the crowd and the mood they are in when your set starts. If you are opening the event as a warm-up DJ, you can pretty much do what you want as long as you remember that you are "warm-up", and not the "main act". If you are taking over form another DJ, how you start your set will be determined by where the crowd is in terms of energy level, and whether you want to keep it there or change it. So in short, don't limit yourself; but have enough latitude to adjust to the ongoing circumstances of the event.
Now this is Afro Progressive Tech , on my playlist any day . I can f**** with this . Keep up the good work bro ...love the maturity and growth in your production !
South African native Themba is certainly making a name for himself, having burst onto the global dance scene in 2018 with a string of high profile gigs & music releases. His sound is forged from his African roots, incorporating local singers, songwriters and percussionists to create his own unique & distinct take on house & techno. His debut EP is scheduled for release on Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound label in Spring, followed by remixes for Black Coffee and Nick Curly. Summer will see the release of another Themba EP on Yoshitoshi and more to be announced soon. 2018 will see a string of high profile gigs for Themba. He made his debut in December playing with Black Coffee at Shimmy Beach Club South Africa, and again in January, as well as for the Resistance stage at Ultra Festival in February. In March he supported Faithless on their South African tour as well as playing at Elrow and in April he will be at the Corona Sunset festival SA. This summer will see him make his Ibiza debuts, kicking off with the Black Coffee's opening party at Hi, the Bridges For Music event at Heart playing alongside Dubfire and appearing at Hot Since 82's Labyrinth party at Pacha, with more TBC. Themba has recently been made an ambassador for the Bridges For Music charity in South Africa, something he is very excited about. Themba & Dubfire recently hosted a workshop for young students at their school in Langa, which aims to become a learning space and creative hub where these young, talented individuals are able to pursue their dreams and develop their music skills, both in production and the music business.
