Hi. 1. Sometimes in April, sometimes in July. I remove them in August or September, a the end of the season. 2. Pollen trap has maximum efficiency of 40 % removal, so the bees are fine. 3. Pollen is either kept in a freezer or hot air dried. It is edible for a long time (years), but as time passes, it's nutritional value decreases.
