It somehow never occurred to me that Flowey was probably being figurative when he said he'd read every book & burned every book. Like taking everyone's story to its conclusion by helping or harming them & seeing the result only to later restart & just kill them. Then again, literally burning all the books just to see the library workers' reactions does seem like something he'd do.

To be able to relate to the antagonist this much without the use of some tragic backstory.
