Different timeline. OoT technically happened on the Adult Timeline while OoS/OoA happen on the Downfall Timeline. It makes more sense when you take ALttP in game lore into consideration: 1. Ganondorf killed the Hero of Time upon opening the way to the Sacred Realm instead of letting him sleep for 7 years. Therefore, the Hero of Time never fought Twinrova. 2. Ganondorf was able to obtain the whole Triforce in the Sacred Realm instead of just the Triforce of Power. Ganondorf also immediately transformed into Ganon after gaining the Triforce. 3. Ganon was never able to find his way back from the Sacred Realm upon obtaining the Triforce, therefore, was never able to take over Hyrule. Basically, OoT in the Downfall Timeline was very different than the game OoT.
Who's saying that Twinrova/Koume and Kotake appear in TotK? I tried looking for translations of the servants clothing but they don't match up with any preexisting Zelda language. In fact, I'm pretty sure their clothes say the same thing. (They're also not in Japanese.) EDIT: Okay, they do seem to be the same as their headbands writings match but they don't seem to indicate being a writing of Hylian or Gerudo.
Thematically creative, mechanically a migraine. The OOT fight was especially annoying, between all the time spent standing around waiting for one of the sisters to fire and the sound of the mirror shield holding a charge while you once again wait for the boss to make a move. God help your ears if you were low health during that fight and had to listen to the beeping on top of all that.
...you think tears of the kingdom ganondorf is the grandfather of ocarina of time twinrova? Yeah no, tears of the kingdom takes place incredibly far in the timeline past all the other games along with botw, far later than ocarina
@Tomás Gabriel Carrizo several zelda characters appear in multiple incarnations throughout the series, that's just another case. There's nothing to prove they're the same twinrova from ocarina.
Their names are written in Hylian on their clothing and they have matching jewels/clothing in terms of colours. It's not a stretch. It's called an Easter Egg.
It’s literally them, dude, they have their names written on them, like the person above said, plus they have green skin like Ganondorf and they have a fire and ice gem on their forehead, respectively, plus it’s clear they’re high ranking Gerudo members, they use these weird masks.
@@Murky_Mires It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, personally, if they were Kotake and Koume. Now, when I say this, I don't mean the _Ocarina of Time_ versions, but new iterations/incarnations made or designed for this game. Their green skin, golden masks with a ruby/sapphire on them, the fabric draped across their shoulders......Fabric stylized after the headbands Kotake and Koume wore in _Ocarina of Time,_ and bearing their names in Hylian text. Not to mention, they seem to hold a rather special place or rank within the Gerudo forces......In ALL of the dragon memory cutscenes with Ganondorf with these two Gerudo in them, they're always standing behind him at attention, one at each side save for the scene where he makes his false pledge of alliance to Rauru. In that scene, they're crouched down, bowing to Rauru like Ganondorf and the other Gerudo were. So........They're either a case of characters with designs heavily inspired by them, easter eggs/references to them, younger versions of them or new incarnations of them created simply for those cutscenes........an utter waste. So, yes.....In the bulk of these scenarios.....No. They're not the Twinrova of days gone by, but new characters/versions of them altogether. A mere nod to the past games in a game littered with references to the past. No more. No less.
there is no evidence in TOTK appearance or otherwise to suggest that the two beside him are Kotake and koume, and twinrova is the fused entity. please do not mislead people.
The six characters on the sashes worn by both figures spell "KO-U-ME-KO-TA-KE" in Hylian. One has a blue gem and sash, and the other has a red gem and sash. Both are the only other Gerudo besides Ganondorf to have green skin. "Twinrova" isn't as much a name as it is a title. -rova being the anglicized version of "Rouba", it then translates to "Twin Old Women". Think of the form more as something that's the result of a technique, not their default state.
Not really. Both share the green skin Koume and Kotake had in the previous games versus the brown skin the other Gerudo, aside from Ganondorf, have. Both stand in a place of honor just behind Ganondorf wearing golden masks.....One with a ruby, the other with a sapphire, matching their elements: Fire and ice. And most importantly, each has their respective name written or stitched on the fabric draped across their shoulders in Hylian text, just like their Ocarina of Time versions had their names on their headbands. Fabric that also shares a similar design or stylization to those of the aforementioned headbands. That's.........A LOT of details for Nintendo to incorporate into their character designs only to turn around and say "Yeah, no....They're not meant to be younger versions of them that we decided to put in there for a sense of continuity, or as an easter egg, reference or nod to Ganondorf being raised by them............"

14:18 How are Koume and Kotake alive in the Oracle of Seasons/Ages games when they should've died in OOT?
Different timeline.
OoT technically happened on the Adult Timeline while OoS/OoA happen on the Downfall Timeline.
It makes more sense when you take ALttP in game lore into consideration:
Didn't know CoH had a DLC with them
Aparece la fusion: "Quitense, yo si le doy"
WHAT??! omg wasted opertunity|! they should have been a boss in TOTK somehow. they could have made it work.
so wait, the two ladies stand on both sides of Ganondorf are the twins Koume and Kotake?
There is a theory that twinrova aren't ganondorf mother, and that ganon was made up by them using magic
maybe a future DLC will have the Twins....trying to bring back Ganon?
it would explain why she was able to cover so much ground
They need a twinrova boss battle DLC in totk
fun fact:
rova(rouba) means "old woman" in japanese.
I can already hear the simps
It would have been better if you were to battle them in the game and then they tell you how Ganondorf came to be
I looked up Twinrova on Google and it said safesearch was on
Who's saying that Twinrova/Koume and Kotake appear in TotK? I tried looking for translations of the servants clothing but they don't match up with any preexisting Zelda language. In fact, I'm pretty sure their clothes say the same thing. (They're also not in Japanese.) EDIT: Okay, they do seem to be the same as their headbands writings match but they don't seem to indicate being a writing of Hylian or Gerudo.
hmm My repeat is right arouuund... 11:05. Dem twins got some good rupees on em.
11:07 Jiggle Physics
Thematically creative, mechanically a migraine. The OOT fight was especially annoying, between all the time spent standing around waiting for one of the sisters to fire and the sound of the mirror shield holding a charge while you once again wait for the boss to make a move. God help your ears if you were low health during that fight and had to listen to the beeping on top of all that.
I never twinrova was actually ganondrof s surrogate mothers or mothers but it never who was ganondrof s father or if he had father
my lore theory ganondorf from totk is the grandfather of the one from ocarina of time trinrova is his daughters
...you think tears of the kingdom ganondorf is the grandfather of ocarina of time twinrova? Yeah no, tears of the kingdom takes place incredibly far in the timeline past all the other games along with botw, far later than ocarina
@@fungi265 Twinrova appears in the flashback. So its not imposible
@Tomás Gabriel Carrizo several zelda characters appear in multiple incarnations throughout the series, that's just another case. There's nothing to prove they're the same twinrova from ocarina.
is is true that they are Ganon's stepmoms?
Surrogate mothers. They are Ganondorf's surrogate mothers. That's not the same thing as step-mothers.
Ding dong the twin witches are dead
Koume:but I am only 400 years old
Kotake:and I am just 380 years old
@@theenderkirby I'll come back to haunt you!
How to get twinrova spirit in smash bros ultimate
You have 0 proof that's Twinrova in TOTK. That reaching quite a bit.
@@theycallmebad Yeah gonna need official proof and confirmation. Have a nice day.
No more. No less.
You said their names are written on their clothes in TOTK, but I'm not seeing it.
They're also the only other green gerudo, so there's another hint that it's them
smash isn't a zelda game btw
there is no evidence in TOTK appearance or otherwise to suggest that the two beside him are Kotake and koume, and twinrova is the fused entity. please do not mislead people.
…other than their literal names being on their clothing
The six characters on the sashes worn by both figures spell "KO-U-ME-KO-TA-KE" in Hylian. One has a blue gem and sash, and the other has a red gem and sash. Both are the only other Gerudo besides Ganondorf to have green skin. "Twinrova" isn't as much a name as it is a title. -rova being the anglicized version of "Rouba", it then translates to "Twin Old Women". Think of the form more as something that's the result of a technique, not their default state.
Ehhh, the last one is a bit of a stretch.
Or at the very least, new versions of them.
In fact.....New incarnations or iterations of them makes more sense......Twinrova, yes......But not *the* Twinrova that was in previous games.
welp, thats a spoiler. thanks.
Not really. Their appearances (only in memories, and they don't speak a line) is only an easter egg, so far at least.
That was pretty jerkish of you to spoil that in the thumbnail.
Except that’s not what they look like
they over sexualized her in oot XD
Wow they nerfed the boobs in the Remater LOL
