This video showed up on my feed 3 years after posting but as someone who is just started sewing/making cosplays this (as well as your page in general) has given me so many new ideas
I am honestly too sentimentally attached to even like a LITTLE SCRAP PIECE OF FABRIC that my heart just breaks into small pieces when I have to throw them away 😭😭😭
OMG I HAVE SUCH AN IDEA!! It would be fun to see you recreating you first cosplay but like with all the techniques you now know ! I am sure we subscribers would love it 🤩
Honestly that thumbnail describes my hole room my wigs and cosplays are everywhere 😂 😂 😂 I really don't know we're everything comes from 😂 . (i love your cosplays there so pretty and perfect I don't know how you do it)
Great job! I love that you dont want to waste the older costumes. I know it must have been hard to let go of some of them, but we are all proud of you!
Oh wow. I now realize I should reorganize my costume closet and probably throw away the ones that arent so great at all. The mountain of petticoats (Mt. Petticoat if you will) is very much relatable as I too have a bunch of petticoats that are just piled on top of boxes of fabric.
Look at all those lovely costumes and hard work!! I say... you deserve to takeover any other closet of your picking in your home. I never would've guessed about the crate... just spilling all kinds of secrets in this video. 😂😅
Hey K, I moved apartments in October and consolidated my costumes into storage boxes, in large zip-lock bags. Mine are probably easier to store as they're not poofy dress components... But you might think of storing some costume stuff on the flat / folded to save space. Food for thought. PS hi BTW. 😀
Ahh the eternal struggle of being a overly sentimental person that think everything will come in handy one day... This is way too relatable and I should go clean up some of my stuff 😂
I love a good closet cleanout and organization video! I can totally relate to holding on to every little thing. One way I've tried to start handling that for clothing and costumes is if it's sentimental and I won't wear it, I store it with other sentimental stuff instead. It helped me free up SO much space in my closet and dresser :) :)
It's so amazing to get things organize and cull out items that you aren't going to need anymore. Looks amazing. I just did that to my craft room. So much visibility now (can actually put my hands on something that I know I have now). All the bags that went to the thrift store with useful (just not to me) stuff. Well done, you! Hope you're having a wonderful day.
The good old cosplay sigh. 😁 I had one of those yesterday while trying to work with crystal organza Petticoat. Then I gave up and choose a different fabric 🤪 Your closet looks so great now!
Hi! Thanks for the advice. It was hard to even find a video I felt comfortable watching! I am a 55 year old man and have wanted to dress up for years but don't feel that confident doing so (and what on earth would be a safe and simple route in?)
I sincerely hope that you feel confident soon. There is nothing wrong with wanting to put on different clothes- and that’s all it is. Perhaps it is a mind shift- who are you afraid of? It is innocent to wear something you wouldn’t normally wear
Suggestion: Garment boxes, each outfit in its own box with a label and maybe a photo? and you can stack them up. Won't work for the poofy ones, but should work for the rest.
Hah. My life is a mess too 🤣🤣🤣 WE ARE ON THE SAME BOAT KIRILEE. (PS: I subscribed on your channel not only for sewing and costuming but also for your personality! You are soo funny and that’s such a good quality that I search in every youtuber 🤣)
I just shoved stuff I don't use (but for some reason have to keep?) into bins in the garage so I can pretend it's not a problem. BUT also I'm looking to moving this year so HAH that's only gonna last for so long! lol
0:54 You're right... We do know... I can't believe you were trying to hide the crate from us! *Wouldn't even show it in the mirror.* It's ok... There's no need to be ashamed - we all need a crate sometimes.
There used to be a tutorial for the cosplay of her up on RUclips, but the videos are gone now. The fandom for Rokka no Yuusha is so small and spread out. It's hard to find other fans. I personally cosplay as Hans, the very ratty looking cat boy. He's trash in the best way (for a fictional character).
Just an idea... you have dead space between your closet and your storage unit, if you own the house, you could increase your closet size by a few square feet, by making an L shape closet.

Awww thank you so much ^_^ I hope you enjoy my channel!

Oh I hear that!
Me: I totally relate to this pile of costumes that got out of hand.
Kirilee: ................... wooden spoons?
*Relatability intensifies*
Hahaha it’s just a question of... WHY?!
Well done. Every time I try to clean out my Cosplay, Halloween costumes, and craft things I think, "I may come in handy some day" and I keep it. Sigh.
I found that I had to be ruthless as possible. There are some costumes I know I simply will not wear ever again.
OMG I HAVE SUCH AN IDEA!!
It would be fun to see you recreating you first cosplay but like with all the techniques you now know ! I am sure we subscribers would love it 🤩
I’ve already done that! It was my tardis dress :) I just didn’t capture it on film
Kirilee Cosplay ohh!!
Honestly that thumbnail describes my hole room my wigs and cosplays are everywhere 😂 😂 😂 I really don't know we're everything comes from 😂 . (i love your cosplays there so pretty and perfect I don't know how you do it)
Trust me, they aren’t perfect. But hey, they are fun to make :) I glad you enjoyed the video
I and maybe a select few would love to see a costume tour, aside from the ones you have on your channel. Great closest clean up :D
Maybe I shall! Thanks for the idea
Great job! I love that you dont want to waste the older costumes. I know it must have been hard to let go of some of them, but we are all proud of you!
It was honestly very cleansing. I really need to do it more often.
Oh wow. I now realize I should reorganize my costume closet and probably throw away the ones that arent so great at all. The mountain of petticoats (Mt. Petticoat if you will) is very much relatable as I too have a bunch of petticoats that are just piled on top of boxes of fabric.
Hahaha I am glad you feel my pain

Hahaha behind the facade!
I REALLY need to sort costumes too, but OMG, so much work! I did clean up fabric today, so I guess that's a win. :D Great job!
I did my fabric a number of months ago and I've kept it mostly ok.... so now it was time for the closet. I wasn't going to tackle both at once LOL

Thanks Brian- I might look at that in the future

This is way too relatable and I should go clean up some of my stuff 😂
It is difficult being ruthless and I could have done better lol
It's always possible to be more ruthless, but the thing is, memories are awesome. And you got rid of a lot. You did good ^^

Exactly what I did too!

It is a real sense of relief to let things go
I’m like you I reorganized, and moved it , yes I had thrown away a few things but didn’t hurt, bc it was diys projects, from old jeans etc
I need to redo it now
"It's hideous and it has to stay in my wardrobe." - Basically me whenever I buy/make clothes.
Oh no!
I've never done this, but would a vacuum packer help flatten out some of that to make space? Would it ruin the material? O_o
I have a few of those up the top, they are just a pain if I ever need to grab a costume for some reason lol
@@KirileeCosplay ah haha yeah that makes sense 😅
Soooo jealous you have furs! Been looking for some to recycle for a costume.
They are hard to find - but for good reasons!
That is a lot of stuff in one closet! So what's going to happen when you make even more? 😉
*gulp* another purge?
The good old cosplay sigh. 😁 I had one of those yesterday while trying to work with crystal organza Petticoat. Then I gave up and choose a different fabric 🤪 Your closet looks so great now!
Thank you!
Yes, the cosplay sigh
Declutter? Satisfaction guaranteed!
Couldn't agree more!

I just found your channel today and I absolutely love your videos!
Thanks!

True- I just don’t have lots that aren’t poofy lol
Noooooo! Don’t get rid of Snow White! I love that one!
There comes a point where sometimes we have to move on :)
Hah. My life is a mess too 🤣🤣🤣

Hahaha I’m not really ;)
I mean... at least you have a closet just for costumes. My storage is more like... "everywhere is storage".
True
Didn't you used to cosplay Chamot from Rokka? (Or was that somebody else? Lol)
What ever happened to that costume?
nope...
@@KirileeCosplay Ope- lol. Thanks for the response anyway.

SO. MANY. COSTUMES. 😮
I have a few... :p
@@KirileeCosplay lol nothing wrong with that!

No it’s not dead space- o use it for storage
I wish I lived closer because whatever you dont want id take it off your hands
Hahaha I thankfully had people who also wanted to take things off my hands
