Though you always look somewhat skinny-fat because that is the body optimised for running (some fat reserves. It's not good to be without fat as a runner/cardio athlete). So the fact is I simply looked more masculine & better as a bodybuilder. However as a runner I feel lighter and more fit, I could not run up a flight of stairs before and was always out of breath (due to heavy muscles), now I can. But truth absolutely be told, I will say that I feel the bodybuilding lifestyle & training (I'm not talking about PED users of course) is superior to being a runner. I felt more jacked, powerful, and had less injuries and problems being a bodybuilder than being a runner. As a complete beginner with an unfit body, I will start with cardio exercises then when my body get used to working out I'll start combining the two exercises in my routine. insha'Allah ❤
I never liked doing any form of sports for a long time. The reason was, because my cardio fitness level was really really low. At one point I discovered weight training and enjoyed it super much, that I actually build a decent amount of muscle, but still didn’t have any form of cardio fitness. I thought that maybe it’s just not for me. It took a while for me to understand, that I have to specifically train to get better at cardio, just as it is the case with strength training. My number one advice for starting as a complete beginner with cardio: Don’t start with running! Running is great because you can do it anywhere and with no equipment. But it’s arguably the hardest form of cardio, because it’s difficult to control your speed and because hitting the ground every time, can be quite tiring for your muscles. If you can then rather start riding a bike at a high intensity a few times a week, so that you build up your fitness level and because it might even be more fun. If you start running after you did that, it will be ever so much easier. Now, I’ve been doing running, swimming and cycling for quite a while and I can absolutely confirm, that I notice it so much in my day to day life.

After few months the cholesterol and triglycerides got much better, still a bit high but significantly improved. After that test I ended up doing more weight training and hardly cardio. My last test triglycerides went up again. All the time I've been eating healthy, no alcohol, no sugars, etc.. I'm not overweight. I still went to dietician to check if I'm doing something wrong. So it's definitely not because of my diet. Going back to more cardio again with a bit of weight training. Fingers crossed!

I try to incorporate strength training with cardio. E.g. Burpees. You get to work your arms, legs, and cardio. If im climbing stairs I would make myself carry kettlebells. Get to work on your arms and at the same time, train your cardio too.
Please include walking as a cardio options, more than often for beginners, it is the most sustainable workout with least activation / motivation required.

The key is to not use working out as an indicator of weight loss, that's what caloric deficit is for. Working out is for physiological benefits, which can help weight lost. Cardio improves cardiovascular system, strength training increases muscle and metabolism.
Cardio is to benefit your heart and mind. Weight lifting is for the aesthetics. Exercise is something that for the unaffiliated seems nearly impossible. For those who engage in it regularly, one cannot imagine living without it.
I’ll say do one or the other. Strength training is aim to get lean or bulk either cutting fat putting on muscle or just putting on mass. Cardio just weight loss including fat loss and muscle loss. So whatever your goal is pick one and stick with it. If you still want to do both do one more than the other.
For most people aerobic is probably the best to lose fat or burn most calories than cardio which increases you heart rate but aerobic doesn't. Climbing stairs or climbing treatmill(setting the incline level higher than 10) is the best for calories burning, but really in reality everyone's body are different. Don't JUST do cardio/aerobic, also work a little strength train, even though you're eating enough protein, you might still lose muscle along the process of eating healthy and working out cardio/aerobic and losing weight ≠ losing fat, muscle weigh more than fat with difference in density.
I mix cardio and strength. For morning i do morning cardio workout, then i go with my bike for 30m-1h Then at afternoon i do strength training. ( Cardio day)
I do both (mostly strength training), but my question is which one to do first? Is it better to do cardio or strength training first? Or no difference?
At first i was doing strength training and no cardio. I was not losing much fat. Since i started doing cardio for 50 mins after my strength training session i am losing alot of fat. I am sure cardio is very important for burning alot of calories
I do Muay Thai, which is mostly cardio with some calisthenics exercises focused on resistance. I don't have the body i want, but it's a sport o like very much
for me i do a month of strength( with rest days) then do cardio for 2 months( cycling, soccer) my body only likes this routine if i do both I've always got injured
I do 2 ½ hours of cardio per week and... I just checked and wow, I do the same amount of strength training per week too haha! Could do more, but my schedule doesn't work out right now 😒 😕 😫
I want to look athletic, so I personally warm up with cardio and mainly focus on weights now. Women especially need to realize, you aren’t going to look like a man from lifting weights. It’ll actually give you more of a figure because your body will be more balanced if you work every part of your body evenly.
Tbh I wasn't concern of my weight but now that I have slight bp I'm trying to do exercise cos I'm scared to have heart diseases ,or stroke or something
I am still a beginner, but I really want to start exercising, not just to lose weight, but I just feel so unhealthy, like I feel 60 at 22. I did go to the gym before, and when I run I don't lose breath quickly but my legs hurt, Idk how to explain, my legs from the front down, it feels like my bones will break, and that's why I hate running or walking fast but I really want to do it.
I'm doing weights, blogilates Pilates workout and dance cardio, dance because it's easier for me to want to do cardio. And also I do 100 squats every day, will I lose the weight?
During quarenteen I did nothing but eat fast food and sit on my ass and I got used to it.. recently cut out junk food/ soft drinks, go for a 10min run every night and drink lots of water with some weights inbetween, small steps but feeling much better.
Due to Covid all the gyms have closed and I don't have any equipment to do strength training other than my 8lbs dumbells and RUclips dumbells workout videos along with some resistance training. Is tht enough to get you toned and stay in shape along with a HIIT workout?

If you are over 30 and you have never done any strength training now it's time to start.
i do no cardio anymore, just follow a good weight training program watch what i eat and take plenty of rest days , works for me.
Try both for best result❤
I try to incorporate strength training with cardio. E.g. Burpees. You get to work your arms, legs, and cardio.
If im climbing stairs I would make myself carry kettlebells. Get to work on your arms and at the same time, train your cardio too.
Best wishes to you.
Yup that workd
Basically a bit of both 💯
Wayne Zahra Amazing 💪
Indeed
Thank you so much sir for giving us these valuable information.
shob jaygay giya sir sir koren kan bhai
I love the video. It's simple and explain many things.
Please include walking as a cardio options, more than often for beginners, it is the most sustainable workout with least activation / motivation required.
Thank you for this feedback, Anjali. Walking is one way to improve your health and reduce your cancer risk. Here's more info on the benefits: www.mdanderson.org/publications/focused-on-health/FOH-walking-schedule.h15-1589835.html. Best wishes to you.
I agree
hardest step number one: Have the courage
The key is to not use working out as an indicator of weight loss, that's what caloric deficit is for. Working out is for physiological benefits, which can help weight lost. Cardio improves cardiovascular system, strength training increases muscle and metabolism.
Cardio is to benefit your heart and mind. Weight lifting is for the aesthetics.
Exercise is something that for the unaffiliated seems nearly impossible.
For those who engage in it regularly, one cannot imagine living without it.
Bodybuilding is for aesthetics and strength training is... well... to train strength. Two different forms of weightlifting
The best form of exercise is the one you enjoy.
I like doing a little of both helps me clear my mind.
I’ll say do one or the other. Strength training is aim to get lean or bulk either cutting fat putting on muscle or just putting on mass. Cardio just weight loss including fat loss and muscle loss. So whatever your goal is pick one and stick with it. If you still want to do both do one more than the other.
Cardio is for internal organs building
Weight training is for bones joints & external muscles building
Do both
I lift weights for an hour and do Cardio for an hour 5 times a week starting to see progress
I do both and plus Yoga...and meditation too ..with a strict diet...yes I love my Body
Does that burn fat?
after daily exercise listening music with drinking black tea is one of the best thing to do 😌
For most people aerobic is probably the best to lose fat or burn most calories than cardio which increases you heart rate but aerobic doesn't.
I love short and sweet video
I mix cardio and strength.
For morning i do morning cardio workout, then i go with my bike for 30m-1h
Then at afternoon i do strength training. ( Cardio day)
I start with cardio to get my finess.
Remember everyone your workouts can look different just do what’s right for your body
What exercise to do after concussion pls
Simply wonderful, please want more
I did running for one hour daily I getted fit in a month
Short and very informative.
Very awesome workout. I enjoyed it alot. Thanks for sharing. This makes my day more productive. Great job
Yo I did only like 3 days of strength training and at the beginning it was like impossible to lift the 2kgweights now I can lift them with ease
That was so sweet thanks for the update
Thanks I almost cried🥺🥺
Let’s be honest. We are all here because it was the shortest video with a workout title we could pick from the search results.
I do Muay Thai, which is mostly cardio with some calisthenics exercises focused on resistance. I don't have the body i want, but it's a sport o like very much
Keep grinding, channel your inner buakaw/dekker in you. Greetings from a fellow amateur boxer
Excited Good for you
for me i do a month of strength( with rest days) then do cardio for 2 months( cycling, soccer) my body only likes this routine
if i do both I've always got injured
I do 2 ½ hours of cardio per week and... I just checked and wow, I do the same amount of strength training per week too haha! Could do more, but my schedule doesn't work out right now 😒 😕 😫
Can i combined the cardio and streghtening exercise everyday for 1hr or every 4x a week only?
so concise and useful! thank you
We're glad you found this information useful, Michelle. Best wishes to you.
I want to look athletic, so I personally warm up with cardio and mainly focus on weights now. Women especially need to realize, you aren’t going to look like a man from lifting weights. It’ll actually give you more of a figure because your body will be more balanced if you work every part of your body evenly.
pro tip, living in a lemon car can help do both as you gotta walk or run everywhere for cardio and strength training from working on said car
I do both, to keep it interesting and your body guessing
Cardio vs. Strength
B. S. We need both !
I do 30 min of cardio everyday and full body bodyweight training every other day
Best wishes to you.
For all of us 👊🏻👊🏻
Tbh I wasn't concern of my weight but now that I have slight bp I'm trying to do exercise cos I'm scared to have heart diseases ,or stroke or something
We're thinking of you, Killua. We encourage you to talk to your care team about your concerns.
I love the music
Dose work count as cardio if I’m moving really fast on my feet to cause a sweat
I am still a beginner, but I really want to start exercising, not just to lose weight, but I just feel so unhealthy, like I feel 60 at 22. I did go to the gym before, and when I run I don't lose breath quickly but my legs hurt, Idk how to explain, my legs from the front down, it feels like my bones will break, and that's why I hate running or walking fast but I really want to do it.
We're thinking of you, Dana.
Pick a rope and start jumping. Atleast aim at 1000 to 1500 counts a day. Jumping rope/skipping is the best cardio or rather exercise ever!!!
I'm doing weights, blogilates Pilates workout and dance cardio, dance because it's easier for me to want to do cardio. And also I do 100 squats every day, will I lose the weight?
Only if you're on calorie deficit I think
I do zumba beside of my daily running & cycling... It's help me a lot... ❤
Good for you, Anisha. We're glad to hear you're doing well.
During quarenteen I did nothing but eat fast food and sit on my ass and I got used to it.. recently cut out junk food/ soft drinks, go for a 10min run every night and drink lots of water with some weights inbetween, small steps but feeling much better.
We're so glad to hear you're feeling well. Best wishes to you.
Dr. why continued showing same exercise for both moderate and vigorous cardio
Due to Covid all the gyms have closed and I don't have any equipment to do strength training other than my 8lbs dumbells and RUclips dumbells workout videos along with some resistance training. Is tht enough to get you toned and stay in shape along with a HIIT workout?
Thats more than enough
I got abs doing dumbell swings incorporated with burpees and eating at a calories maintainace,if your not seeing results after a month its yr diet
Dance is a good cardio workout 🏋🏽♀️
I never do physical. Cardio is enough for me
What about doing circuit training workouts thanks
Could I also incorporate cardio after I strength train? Is that a good approach?
