- Featured in the game "One finger death punch 2" (OFDP2), an intense, upbeat melodic electrostep/dubstep/drumstep style song with some spine-shaking bass and catchy melodies.
So this was originally gonna have vocals but the mix wound up being far too full for them. . It's supposed to have a "Cant stop" kinda feel, ya know?
This one was a lot of fun to make, but it was hell to mix. I was 14 hours into mixing and decided to just pack up what I had and move on, so if there are parts that aren't quite right, I'm sorry, the changes I was making were'nt helping, only sucking the life out of it. (44 hours spent on the track total)

This song began as me finishing one of ModernBard's works-in-progress. After investing a ton of time into it it wound up sounding nothing like his song, and thus released it as my own. I still retained some of the industrial percs and two synth patches from his project file, so it's worth mentioning that without him, I wouldnt have had the song I wound up with. Check out his stuff! Heard this in "One Finger Death Punch 2", probably one of my favourite soundtracks in that game.

When I watched that episode, I immediately fell in love with the idea of the badass post-apocalypse Dash, Pinkie, and Maud, and now I've fallen in love with this song. I totally get the "Can't stop" feel -- I think you nailed it. Also, "melodic electrostep" is a great descriptor for this, and I will probably start using it to describe the kind of electro I like. Anyway, I've been listening to this on loop for a few hours now that I bought it.

actually... if you consider the events of the "Pegasus Device" that happened, to make her from the grayish Pegasus into the powerfully fast and agile Rainbow Dash... back then, before all that, i believe she was called Butter Mellow, and was renamed after the transformation. and the Pegasus Device was destroyed in the crash, of course, but it was for the defense of the other Pegasus captives. it was a very dark tale, and not everyone made it out... a lot of the events in their world aren't what others have portrayed them like.

+venom gaming Im glad you like it :P With an apple device I don't think they can manage their storage the same way that you can with a samsung -- The only way I can think of is to download the song, place it in your itunes library, then on your iphone within itunes choose "Manage manually" in the music section and then you can select the music on your computer to include in the iphone, if I remember correctly. There may be another way to do it, but thats how I did it back when I used one. You also might be able to view the soundcloud link in desktop mode and choose download, that may or may not work

+Halotkl Nope, found out just now that it seems that FL 12 only routs to 2.1 audio and not anything higher, it has to do with my encoder it seems... thanks anyways!! Appreciate it :) I'll just have to see if I can find any VSTs that will do that for me
+Aurelleah Maybe it exports in a form where only it can replay itself in full 5.1+. Or in my screw up in Cyberlink P.D 13&11, theres an actual extension to the file itself.
so Wav. comes as 16, 32 or 24bit, but if you go another category called "other file types" you select wav in there and you may find Microsoft adWMA or such and well as channel selection. One case with some programs too is when selecting bit rate, you have to manually type a minimum before it would create the other channels.
That made the difference in sfm videos coming through properly or not for me when I converted them back to WAV

This is really high quality EDM. I do believe it's even higher quality than "Monstercat"-, "Tasty"-, "MA"-, "UKF"- or "The Dub Rebellion" quality.
I dont know if I'd say it's that good :P It's good but not quite there :P Im glad you like it though! It's a lot different of a style than most of the stuff you find nowadays though so it definitely suits a unique taste
If you ever want to find inspiration (from the EDM genre) for future songs, check out the playlists I created on my channel.
I believe you can create amazing songs with what you can find there. (Oh, and note that they're all at random numbers because youtube decided to delete a metric ton of songs from the various playlists. - I used to have about 1600+ songs in total there. - now it's around maybe 1000+ - but that's not important)

+Jeasonfire Glad you liked it in the end :P It's melodic cause its got a much more defined melody than your classic electrostep which is more like dubstep in that it has no defined melody, though the electrostep shows through with the heavily distored lead -- Got some actual melodic dubstep coming up that's gonna be much easier on the ears though :)

I'm really interested as to what kind of vocals were originally be in this song. The song sounds complete as is.
+Just Eric Yep, which is why I left them out and mixed it as-is instead. The lead takes up the entire spectrum cause it's basically a very very distorted square wave with a supersaw bass, and changing the lead to make room for the vocals made it sound very cluttered and yet incomplete, so we left them out.
I do have vocals planned for my next piece, and am going to be builing the song around the vocals so that I dont run into this problem
