I live in my tiny hometown with my 88 yo dad so that he can live out the rest of his life in his own home. I love it and wouldn't trade this time with him for any amount of riches. That being said, I get awfully lonely sometimes. Being able to live vicariously through you has really helped me during the rough patches. I just want to say thank you to you, Jeff and the pups for making my 2024 a little better. I hope you and the entire gang are blessed with good health, good fortune, and good times in 2025!
I did the same. It's the least we can do for our parents who gave us everything but it can be very stressful. Remember to take care of yourself too. Take a break when you can.
