This is so cute! love the cutouts, definitely going to try that too! I also love this (kind of) tutorial format. It's nice to see how you decided on doing things differently during the process
Glad my advice about casting off with waste yarn made sense! Also, I love how the cutout in front turned out! Great idea to spice up a top. I wonder if you could use that same concept to make a v-neck? 🤔Just curious, is there a reason you use half double crochets to join panels vs a single crochet or a slip stitch? Also, if you do ever want a super seemless join, try a mattress stitch! it’s super satisfying and I find it doesn’t stretch out the seems or add as much bulk.
Thank you so much!!! your advice was amazing! and i actually think you can drop stitches and make a v-neck on the machine, i'm going to try with a cardigan soon. and yes! so I use hdc to join panels that I need to have a lot of stretch like an arm opening, i've found slip stitches can be too restricting. but I slip stitch when I join panels on the body since the actual panels stretch! also omg great idea! i haven't used a mattress stitch, i've used something similar and tbh I'm a little too lazy but this looks easier
2:01 you are seriously *lowkey* high key becoming my fav youtuber rn! omg!🥺😃 *edit* i forgot to say that this dress looks like you literally just like bought it like i can’t. what?!😮
@@lilyfoubisou that would be awesome! the shipping and taxes to Germany are unfortunately a bit high 🙈 But I'd definitely purchase a pattern, everything you make looks really neat and well constructed. Xx
Try one row of scrap yarn color A and 15 rows of scrap yarn color B (contrasting) this way you only pull out one row (A) and the 15 rows of color B can stay as is until you use them for the next project
Loove this dress, so cute! Is there a specific type of yarn you would recommend for clothing like this? Generally I like to use 100% cotton but it doesn't have the best stretch. Thanks in advance xx
Thank you so much!!!! Yes cotton isn’t great for the sentro bc of the stretch! :/ I use a wool/silk blend that is really great with the sentro. I actually sell some on my website bc I hand dye them but feel free to check them out for more info too!! But any DK weight yarn with stretch is ideal for the sentro imo
hi queen! have you found a good way for a partial cast off? trying to make an upside down L shape vibe so need to do a partial cast off on one side. any advice? thanks
hi!!! I honestly haven't, I've been doing the stitch marker in every stitch technique since I made this 😭 you can try picking up each stitch with a piece of thread, that would def be faster! but for me it's harder to put the stitches back on the machine so I haven't. good luck queen!!!
Yesterday I made a heart and the stitches I stopped knitting I put on a strand of diff colored thread and let them hang. It was easy to pick them up and put them back on the needles to finish knitting. It may be slightly easier than using the stitch markers for each stitch?
I know i’m so late to this video, but how many pins did you use for each panel? trying to do girl math over here, so 22 for each panel after the split would be 44?
About the v neck:I would try to introduce another ball of yarn halfway the front panel like I would for a color change, except not tie them together. On the way back i would drop the second ball and continue with the first. This way you won’t have to temporarily cast of. Just a theory: has anyone tried this?
It's actually not that transparent!!! but it would depend on your size, I'm typically a small/medium so if you're a medium/large it would be more transparent but if you're an s/xs it would be less!! so it depends on size. but If you're really worried you could also make two back panels and two front panels to make it not sheer at all!!!
Never be ashamed of being a pink girl 💕💖🌸🌺🌷🎀🐷👙👛🦩🩰🎟️
U GET IT

Thank you so much!!!! And oooo yay that's good to know bc it's so much less stressful than filming a tutorial too hahaha
you really come up with the cutest designs!! I cant wait til i get a knitting machine to attempt this myself!
thank you sooo much!!!!

Thank you so much!!! I've made garments with two full size panels for friends and it still looks super cute with the front seam!!
Beautiful dress I hope I can get this good with my machine. Thank you for the tutorial
Thank you so much!!! You totally can!

Happy valentines day!!!!!!! sobbing crying!!!!
Do you have a more in depth tut for the cutouts and how you connected the two panels?
had to subscribe immediatelyyyy
Omggggg thanks so much for being here!!
Hi Lilly, I love the sweateer you have on. Can you make it using a sentri machine, if yes, please drop a toturial
Hi thank you so much!!! You could make a variation of it but it wouldn't be the same! this sweater is actually crocheted
Gorgeous
Thank you so much
So beautiful ❤️🥰
Thank you so much!!!❤️❤️❤️
Not dress related BUT did you make the top from the intro as well? It looks so good! Would love to get a pattern or video about it 😍
thank you so much!!! I did! I actually sell them on my website but I might make a video about them in the future!!!
@@lilyfoubisou that would be awesome! the shipping and taxes to Germany are unfortunately a bit high 🙈 But I'd definitely purchase a pattern, everything you make looks really neat and well constructed. Xx
Omg, what about a sweater with long sleeve cut-outs!
omg that would be so cuteeee!!! 👀

love this dress so much!! i was wondering how many yards of yarn you ended up using for it?
thank you so much!!!! I ended up using around 5 balls of yarn i believe which is about 1300 yds!!
@@lilyfoubisou how much gr are they?
Your shirt on this video is so beautiful! Anyine has a pattern for it or similar to it? :)
thank you!!! I don't have a pattern but I do sell it on my website!

How does yours not come out see through like other peoples tutorials? Heavier yarn?
Yes!!! When I've used lighter yarn they've been more see through but this yarn is heavier and I don't have that problem
Yesterday I made a heart and the stitches I stopped knitting I put on a strand of diff colored thread and let them hang. It was easy to pick them up and put them back on the needles to finish knitting. It may be slightly easier than using the stitch markers for each stitch?
such a good idea lol! I don't know why I didn't think of just using thread haha
Hi there, do you think you could show how to make a balaclava on this machine?
I've gotten a few requests for this!!! I'll brain storm!
I know i’m so late to this video, but how many pins did you use for each panel? trying to do girl math over here, so 22 for each panel after the split would be 44?
Hi please can you make a strapless jumpsuit
Ooo fun idea!!!

Is the dress see through? I have been dying to make one but I'd hate for it to be transparent! How do you prevent it?
It's actually not that transparent!!! but it would depend on your size, I'm typically a small/medium so if you're a medium/large it would be more transparent but if you're an s/xs it would be less!! so it depends on size. but If you're really worried you could also make two back panels and two front panels to make it not sheer at all!!!
how do you keep track of your row counts since it doesn’t work in panel mode !?
I use a row counting app!!! I usually count 5-10 rows at a time in my head then keep track in the app if that makes sense
