Would it be better to do tube so it could help with it stretching being see through? Also for colder weather?
Tube position is better for women who fit sizes under a 6. If you’re over a 6 you’ll always have to use panel. I think this yarn density is better for colder weather. It’s definitely heavy and thick. Stretching makes it more see-through in my opinion.
Is it possible to do the same to the bottom as the top? Only less rows to make it look like it's hemmed
It’s possible but you will need use knitting needles or a crochet pin to seal it off. It may appear bulky. I’ll try to work on a video to see how it can turn out.
How do you keep up with the rows....the counter doesn't work on the panel setting?
I write them down as I go. I keep track of every 20 rows then I write them down before continuing. I’m still trying to find a best method that doesn’t require a lot of brain power.
how much yarn did you use ?
I used about 1 and a half skeins of yarn for this project.
For thicker women would you suggest doing more than two panels?
Yes, I would suggest making two additional panels using the 22-needle machine same length for the sides of the skirt. You can also use elastic yarn that have good stretch like wool, nylon or polyamide.
220 rows total or per panel and it the machine set to panel or tube?
Set the machine to panel mode and it’s 220 rows per panel. 220 includes the brim.
How can you make different sizes?
The best way I can recommend is doing a patch test. Use about 20-50 rows of yarn around the entire circumference of the Sentro on panel mode then use a tape measure. Measure the person against the patch and then work from there.
How many rows you did for the skirt?
I did 220 rows. I’m 5ft so this may depend on your height as well.
