he was SO right. now keke has a baby daddy who cant compete with her level of wealth, income, skill, fame, resumee and popularity, and he is out there outfit shaming her on social media. calling her a wife despite never giving her a ring. steve didnt have the words, but he was SO right.

Lori learned from her mother. No doubt Steve added valuable insight. However, Marjorie is the truth and Lori would have been moving smartly as long as she listened to her.
The hurtful thing about this is that the average black woman has no access to elders who can provide the advice, recourses and connections like a Steve Harvey. Steve is a lot of things but he was willing to look out for this girl but she chose a bus driver instead smh. 😕
Especially from a man. I can't stand when people don't listen to their elders.

In theory, nothing is wrong with a bus driver. In yal’s fairly tale perfect world we should all just grab a bus driver and McDonald’s worker off the street and be happy ❤
In reality, a bus driver will likely be broke and have low self esteem because of that, and cause unnecessary rifts in the relationship by trying to overcompensate for his insecurities.

I try to have these same conversations with my younger friends. They act the same way Ms. Keke is acting. Some people learn by instruction. Others learn by experience. And this is why in some cultures, the father and/or men in the family have to vet prospective husbands before they’re allowed to court their daughters. A man that’s interested in a woman has to go through the men in her family and has to prove to them that he’s an honorable man who can protect and provide for her. A lot of young men and women might think it’s a dated practice but look at the state of relationships these days. Children born out of wedlock has become the norm, multiple baby mommas and daddies creating broken homes, casual s*x, hook up culture and stds are on the rise, etc…
