Nice video :D. Bloodborne and Sekiro are my favorites and it's always nice hearing about Isshin himself. I gravitate towards skilled warriors and sekiro has a large batch of characters that fit that description.
Elden Ring makes it difficult because, imo, so many of the NPCs are great. Nepheli, Hewg, Alexander, Blaidd, Sellen, Millicent, Jar Bairn, Rya and many more are great with interesting voice actors. My personal favorite is Ranni because her quest is long and involved with many other characters swept into it.
Hyetta is by far the most profound NPC in the franchise imo. she’s very cold, even after telling her shes been eating human eyes. she has no human motive behind her actions. she’s just walking the path to chaos unknowingly. most captivating quest i’ve ever done. going down to the absolute depths of Elden Ring just to find her there, completely captivated by the fingers. makes the frenzied flame ending so worth the trek

Lucatiel's mental fight against the curse, Vengarl only finding peace after being decapitated, Benhart is the embodiment of "ignorance is happiness" and straight up Aldia. I love Isshin as well simply for sharing VAs with Evolto from Kamen Rider Build, Tetsuo Kanao. He was already my favorite Soulsborne boss before realizing that, so that only solidified my love for his character.
This is where I'd put my favourite Elden Ring character ... if I ever encountered one ingame. Seriously though, the Fromsoft NPC structure absolutely did not work with Elden Ring's open world. It's so easy to completely miss out on NPC encounters and borderline impossible to fully advance their questlines without guides. I like it when NPCs act both, as a guide in your playthrough aswell as a boss fight so Gehrman and Isshin are among my favourites.
