Trying to learn NAIL STAMPING |Send Help!!| First time using Maniology|

- Watch my many MANY failures while taking another shot at trying to learn nail stamping. Can I get the hang of it? I'm starting to feel like it's not a lost cause after all lol.
A huge thank you to @Maniology for sending me some products to try and for wanting to work with someone who absolutely sucks at stamping, lol. After this video, I have learned so much and am so happy to have these products to keep learning with and crafting this skill with. I am so excited to keep at it this time and to get better and better. Their products are amazing, and once you get the hang of them, they work wonderfully. I understand now why they're such a loved brand. I didn't have the best luck with the black stamping polish, but that was more than likely user error, and I will continue to keep trying to get it to work for me.
If you have any tricks or tips or constructive criticism with this, please let me know. I genuinely want to learn all I can from anyone who will lend me a helping hand with nail stamping.
Most importantly, the biggest THANK YOU to all of you for being here with me and spending your time with me today. You all are amazing, and I am so grateful for each and every single one of you. If you have anything you'd like to see or have any advice, tips, or tricks you'd like me to try out, please let me know in the comments, I respond to them all!
I've linked the channels below, where I watched nail stamping videos to learn some things. These ladies are all amazing, and you should check them out if you don't already know them!
Again, you all are amazing, and I appreciate you so much. As always, guys, hopefully I'll catch you in the next one.
Xoxox,
Haley

Hi Haley❤️❤️ aww thank you so much for the shout out🤗 you did amazing🤩🤩 I tried stamping and couldn't get it and gave up for a year lol I was determined to learn it so just I practiced. I always use gel polish as my base so I just wipe away the image with acetone if I mess up. You can also stamp over the gel polish because it has a tacky layer. I love that Flexi Stamper for shrinking images. When you enlarge the image you cannot take it off the base. That plunger is what makes the image larger. So it is very hard to see where you are stamping the image. When you shrink the image you can remove the stamper from the base. Love the metallic polishes😍😍 Can't wait to see more stamping🤗🤗 thank you for sharing hun🥰🥰
Happy Anniversary luv💐💍❤️
Happy anniversary to you, too, Sondra! Thank you for all of the advice. Do they make plates with larger images, or is that not possible with how fast everything has to be done? Once I get better I think it would be cool to be able to have bigger images if that's a thing. I gave up for years and have more patience now and really want to learn it. So you leave the dispersion layer on the gel polish once you've cured it, and it doesn't slip around with that in the nail? Sorry for all of the questions, lol. You make it look so easy, gahhh. I was all pumped up after watching your videos and then panic set in once I actually sat down and started, lol. You are so amazing and beautiful, Sondra. I appreciate you tons! Xoxo
It’s so funny watching someone do exactly what I do. Faff (also known as procrastination) getting everything set up. You did great. You can absolutely use gel base or foil gel; I’ve found foil gel works best for me. If you’re feeling fancy you could always stamp onto plastic and topcoat then it’s a sticker. That way no placement issues. I do prefer using born pretty magician top coat because there’s no rush and I can panic less.
Ohhhh, my goooooddd. That is the best idea ever with plastic and using it as a sticker. Holy sh*tballs! I am absolutely going to try that tonight! Yes! I was wondering if transfer gel would work, too. Does it leave anything sticky on the stamper when you use that? You are so beautiful, and I appreciate you so so much for the advice and things to try out. Sending you so much love and appreciation. Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 I haven’t found it leaves anything on the stamper head that can’t just be lint rolled off.
You’re so welcome I just thought that making them into stickers would be easier for placment.
Edited to add: don’t put the topcoat on too thick otherwise the “sticker” won’t be flexible enough (I know because I made some chonky stickers lol 😜
Hiya it’s Lou here. Just read this and I can’t wait to try it as a sticker, what a brilliant idea!! Also I don’t have sticky base stuff but I’ll try it with the foil gel 😁😁. I’m proper excited now pmsl 🤣🤣🤣. So glad I read this chicken ❤❤
Instead of a sticky base you can also use a non acid primer over the nail and the sticky of that is perfect for stamping 😊
@clairechilds6631 oh shiiiiiishhh, that's a great idea! I'm definitely going to give that a shot for sure. Thank you so much for that little golden nugget. You are awesome, and I hope you're having a beautiful Monday. Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 you’re welcome 🥰 saves a little money too ha! Thank you, I hope your are too 💚
I'm so proud of you!!!!!!! I'm glad you kept trying until you got it! I know you'll have ao much fun with this!!! Maniology is definitely the best company ❤enjoy your goodies love
Yes! I'm so excited to keep trying and learning. It was tons of fun after I stopped stressing myself out, lol. Love you, Nelly! Have the best day ever. Xoxo
That red is gorgeous ok I just had to say that… now let me finish watching the stamping yay 🤗
I'm with you with loving the red! If you have any advice for me with stamping, please let me know! Xoxo
The Black magic and purple color 💜 ✨️ gorgeous.
Isn't that color gorgeous?! You are awesome, Mary. I love ya and appreciate you tons! Xoxo
YAAAASSSS QUEEN!!! U DID IT!!!! And it looks GREAT babe!!!! AWESOME JOB!!!!
I fricken sucked it up but I'm ok with how they turned out lol. Definitely gives me the fire to want to get better though. Love you babe! Xoxo
Hi Haley, I'm so proud of you for not giving up! The set turned out great! I enjoyed the video! ♥xoxo
Thank you so much, Mariz. This has definitely sparked a fire for me to get better and better this! I appreciate you and everyone at Maniology. You all are amazing. Xoxo
Glad you kept persevering, it does pay off in the end. You did great ❤xx
Thank you so much! I had myself so worked up before I started because of how badly I sucked the first time I tried it years ago, lol. Once I calmed down a bit, it was a lot easier, funny how that works! I've played around with stamping more since this video and have already gotten way better at it. Whoop whoop! Thank you so much for being here and spending your time with me. I appreciate you tons! Xoxox
I'm only half way through the video, but my advice would be to forget about going quickly. Focus on picking up your image, and then the ability to pick it up at a faster pace will happen naturally. Stamping gets easier the more you do it just like any other technique you're learning for the first time.
Wearing long nails on your right hand when you're stamping will make it much more difficult you need a steady hand and the length is giving you an extra learning curve.
I'm so excited for you Haley!! You got it.
See, I was thinking I should have taken those nails off before I did this because I think you are 100% right about it, only making things harder, lol.
I feel like if I don't go fast, the polish dries before I can get it picked up, and then I'm only getting part of the image. Do you think that's because of the heat from my lights, or should I use way more polish at first? Do you cover your whole image with the polish or do it at the top and drag down?
I want to get better at it and have been playing with it the last few days, but honestly, I'm not having much better luck. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'll start by taking the nails off on my right hand. Maybe that will be what really helps me.
Thank you for always being so uplifting, Mariah. I really genuinely appreciate you. I hope you're doing well and that things are going beautifully for you. Sending you so much love. Xoxo
Okay, I've never used that sticky gel you put on, and I believe its purpose is to retrieve dried images off the stamper. Some stamping polishes dry even before you can pick it up, but the brand you're using doesn't dry as quickly as others. Your light will affect your pick up because of the heat. You are fine covering the entire image or half the image with polish. There's no right way.
There are a few things you might want to know. The card you use to swipe with is stamped out by a machine, and the edges need to be filed to take off the rough edge. Then some plates when you go to stamp can buckle in the middle which makes it difficult to pick up so try to keep it on the flattest surface or you will need to hold it down as you swipe it. The direction you drag it is really up to you. The most important advice I can give you is to go watch a clear jelly stamper video where Debbie explains the best way to pick up images because she really goes over the things you would never think of and she's thorough. Just don't give up because you will find that after you've been doing it for awhile that it will become easier just like all things in the nail world.
@mariahjane7969 ok! So would I use that sticky base if my image dries on the plate? I would spread it over the image and then try to pick it up with my stamper? I was curious about that because that stuff dries down without any tackiness to it.
It's great to know about the edges of the scraper. I'm going to sit down this weekend and play around with it more. Hopefully, that will help a lot with being able to spread the polish better. Also, do you cover your whole image in polish, or do you spread it on the edge of the image and then swipe?
I will absolutely check out that video. Thank you so much for all of this advice. You are so awesome, and I appreciate you so much. Sending you so much love, Mariah. Xoxo
So I just recently found your channel about a week ago, and I’ve tried looking for a “how to lay acrylic for beginners “ type video on your page and maybe I’m missing it but if you haven’t I was hopping you would consider making a video explaining how you lay your acrylic I love the way you explain things and how you take your time to really walk us through your process 🙏 please and thank you
@reasanchez8956 Well, hey there! Im so glad you're here 😀 I haven't done one of those yet, but I absolutely will! Thank you for saying all of these wonderful things. I'm so glad that you like me explaining things like I do and that I can help make some things a little easier to understand. I will put this down in my book and make a video for you about acrylic. You are amazing and so beautiful. Sending you so much love and appreciation, babe. Xoxo
I had to comment on this video because the level of frustration that I experienced using the stamping plate . Glad to know it's not just me. Keep going girl. You are awesome. The cursing sounds just like me dag habit. LOL
It's absolutely not just you. I struggle so badly with stamping, I want to keep at it, though, and be good at it eventually. I think I want to do that because I've never had such a hard time with anything related to nails as I have with this, lol. I need to prove to myself that I can learn this and do well with it. I'm glad I took a break and came back to it because I was just about ready to give up again, and then once I came back to it, I had a little better luck with it. You are amazing and beautiful, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
It is very frustrating when you are first learning and takes practice to get it to work out well. Some things I learned: work fast. Manioligy stamping polish dries quickly. There is a brand called SheModern (you can find her videos on RUclips. She has great tutorials and ideas). This stamping polish gives you plenty of time for clean up on the stamper and placement. Don't press down to pick up the image. Roll the stamper across the image to pick it up. And I prefer the thinner scraper to remove the polish on the plate. I feel it gets the polish in the grooves better. There are so many beautiful plates out there to buy, and some of them are a lot less expensive than maniology and work just as well. Welcome to the black hole of stamping. I can't wait to see how creative you get with reverse stamping. ❤😂
The first time I tried, when these were first coming out, it was soooo frustrating, but now that I'm older and have more patience, I think it's the perfect time to give it another shot. I will have to check out shemodern, another lovely lady suggested that also. So roll from side to side or up and down when picking it up, or does that part not really matter as long as I'm rolling the stamper? And a thinner scraper, CHECK! The maniology one did work way better than the one I had. Someone else said to file the edges of the scraper, so I'm going to try that as well. The few other plates I've gotten over the years and just put away are all cheaper ones and I will say I can feel the difference in the thickness of the plate itself compared to the maniology ones but does that matter as long as the image on the plate is cut out good enough? Hopefully, that makes sense, lol. Hopefully, I can get this down enough that I can even do reverse stamping. I've seen so many people do it and am envious of it because of how cool it looks! Thank you for all of your advice. You are so beautiful, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxox
I think my first go at it was so traumatic for me, and that's why I get myself so worked up before I even start, lol. Gahhhh.
@@HaleyDawn85 rolling the stamper really depends on the shape and the direction of the image. Some images run vertically some horizontally, if that makes sense. But rolling the stamper instead of just pressing down on the mage gives you a better pick up. As far as thickness goes of the plates. I have not found any issues using thinner plates, as long as the etching is deep enough. I have used Born Pretty, MouTeen, Uprettego, and so many other brands with no issues. I know how frustrating it can be, I feel like that with shaping. It all looks good until I go to polish my nails then they look wonky. LOL. It does get better and it is so much fun, especially for those of us that cannot free hand. You are super talented and will be able to make beautiful art, I just know it. Don't give up and have faith.
Hi "Haley" love all the goodies luv and you did a great job you are going to love stamping thanks for sharing and showing luv much love always xoxo 💅💕💕💕
Thank you so much, exotica. You are so amazing. Thank you so much for spending your time with me. Do you have any advice with stamping, and what works for you? Sending you so much love and appreciation. Xoxo
I feel seen. I suck at stamping. So glad you stuck with it. Maybe there is hope for Miss Clumsy over here. LOL
You are totally seen and not alone, lol. We can start a club and suck together 😉 you are awesome, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
Great job!!! I have stamping items and need to really break them out and buckle down and get the hang of them. You've made me want to try. Thanks for sharing hon!!
If you get it figured out, let me know. I need all the tips and tricks, lol. Thank you, Ptsz, for saying good job. I feel like I absolutely butchered it, lol. You are amazing, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
@HaleyDawn85 you did great, hon. Stamping is definitely not as easy as people make it seem. I've tried a few times and had to walk away due to frustrations, but if I can figure anything out, I'll definitely try to help you as well.
@ptszpwr783 some people can just slap that shit together, and I'm like, WOW, lol. I can hand paint but can't do this. What the hell lol.
@ptszpwr783 and yes please let me know if you figure anything out that makes it easier!
The more you do it, the better you get. My problem is trying to figure out what colors to use. But that’s just me. 😂🤣😂 Congratulations though.
That's what I am hoping! Just have to try and keep with it and get better and better. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please. lol. Do you do reverse stamping at all? Thank you so much for spending your time with me today. I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
Love the white, well done you. ❤❤❤
The white turned out really good. I'm hoping that I can get the black to work out for me, too. The holographic polish is stunning, too. I just couldn't get it to show up how it actually looks in person on video. Love you so much, chicken! Xoxo.
Watched this earlier… came back to comment!!!! First of all!!! I actually loved that RED!!! It does make you feel saucy!!! Secondly… I love how you set us up for what you think will be an Epic fail and it turns out to be an absolute smashing success!!! Thanks for sharing with the class!!! Smooches!!!😘🤎🥰🫶🏼
Isn't that red, sessyyyy? lol. Something about a red polish... 😉 and thank you Peejay, to me, this still felt like I failed, lol. I'm ok with how they turned out, and they're definitely the best I've ever done as far as stamping goes. It just feels like I should have done better if that makes sense, lol. You are awesome. Love ya, girl! Xoxo
Brown heart emoji! Lol. Xoxo
I felt your frustration. When nail stamping first came out I mastered it with normal polish, then I started my nail journey again a year ago and brought a bunch of gel stamping supplies thinking my knowledge would transfer to gels boy was I wrong. But you have inspired me to try again thank you for sharing your process.
Oh man, I tried it with regular polish years ago and then with stamping polish. I give you HUGE props for being able to master it, it's hard!!! Lol. I didn't even try with gels when those came out. I have a couple of gel stamping polishes, but I bought them for art gels, lol. So stamping with gel is way harder? Fackkkk. Lol. Thank you so much for spending your time with me. I appreciate you so much and am sending you tons of love. Xoxo
Aw hun I felt your pain, I hated stamping in the beginning, I know you’ve had lots of advice ect but you will not go wrong with born pretty stampers and polishes, they are awesome and I’ve tried many 😂, great to see you got the hand of it though, just a tip for top coating Matt can smudge your design so I alway base over it then topcoat, amazing job hun tysmfs🥰🥰🥰
Heck yes! Thank you for the advice. I will definitely try a base coat and then do a top! I watched your video earlier, and you did so amazing. Love how they turned out. I was thinking about getting the Born pretty stamping polishes to try out, but now that you said this, I will absolutely be trying them. Thank you for being so wonderful. I appreciate you so much. Way to go...rock on and Happy anniversary
You rock, babe. I love you and appreciate you so much. And thank you for the anniversary wishes, Irene. You are amazing. Xoxox
Well done girl u did amazingly, i use to hate stamping, stopped for a while until i joined a lovely facebook group, they helped me so much and now i love stamping... i still have bad days were it takes me i dunno how many times to pick the image up properly........u just wait till u learn how to reverse stamp........u'll fall in love with it..............💜💜

How awesome!! I love stamping. I love that you tried it out!! I definitely pray for a good stamping day before I start though lol 😅😅 sometimes it goes completely wrong still.
Also, there's a super sticky top coat called 'outshine' that will allow you to work slower. It snags the polish even if you let it dry overnight. I love it. It's also good for reverse stamping!
What brand is that top coat by? I need to try it. As you saw, I panic when I have to rush and do anything, lol. Thank you so much for letting me know about that. Might be a game changer for me! You are so awesome! Love ya girl! Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85I also went and subscribed to everyone you tagged! Please do an update video in a few months or so when you feel more comfortable with it! I'm about to do a troubleshooting stamping video next month as well for Fall with some reverse stamping too. I use to hate stamping 😅
@@HaleyDawn85alsooo, swipe one way and roll the stamper the opposite way to pick up the image.. I forgot to mention that lol and I'm continuing watching.. Scrape different ways until you get the perfect way. The pickup is more of a roll vs a press. Another stamping polish I like it Born Pretty.. Off Amazon. It works a little better for me sometimes. Watching you stress had me wanting to come through the screen and help you 🤗
I apply more polish than I need most times lol and the clear jelly round stamper is my favorite.
@@HaleyDawn85don't hate me for all the comments lol you can use foil gel (works really well) and base gel (wipe dispersion layer off) but the best I have found is that top coat I mentioned above. It's literally the best. Annnnnd if you mess up and need to wipe with acetone, you won't mess anything up! Always top coat or something before you stamp, Acetone is the best way to clean up the nail if you mess up.
You can use a base coat forsure it does work that's what I used an it worked great
Do you leave the dispersion layer on or not?
You can put gel top coat over the top of sticky polish but be sure that it’s dry enough as for the smudge proof top coat it’s only needed if you want to matte top coat good luck it’s worth it when you finnaly get to see what you can do with stamping
Sweet! Thank you so much for this info. I'm gonna add it to my book with all of the other advice I've gotten. You guys are amazing for sharing what works good for you. Thank you again, you are awesome, and I appreciate you tons! Xoxo
Also with a new scraper you should file the edges
Awesome! Thank you for telling me this! Do I need to use a certain grit, and do I just file the edges lightly? Thank you again. You are so awesome, and I appreciate you so much! Xoxo
Awwwww chicken, I love watching your vids, you make me smile. Love ya to bits sistaaaaaa. I have just ordered some more stamping stuff so fingers crossed for me 😂😂😂

@@HaleyDawn85 I don’t think I used that sticky base stuff you know when I l tried it, didn’t realise that was a thing 🤣. 55:50 you did an excellent job! The stamping was so nice and clean! Happy anniversary and where did you get your lamp? 😂❤
Oh man, I was hoping you'd have some advice, lol. I feel like I was so bad at it. I'm ok with how they turned out, but I really want to be better at this. The lamp is from M Shop! Thank you for spending your time with me, Kiera. You are beautiful, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
Yup those ladies make it look so easy 🤬🤬🤬🤭🤭🤭🤭🤗🤗🤗🤗
Right?! Fack! Lol
I'm only about half way through right now and i feel so bad for you girl...i absolutely love stamping and i always hate when i see people struggling.... my go to for troubleshooting is, 1st make sure your space is neither to hot or too cold, 2. no fans blowing or open windows. 3. I cover the entire image with polish then scrape, it's probably overkill but i want to make sure it's in all the nooks and crannies. Etc....Have the stamper right in front to scrape and immediately drop the scraper and go for the stamper. Light roll over the image.. not a straight up and down smush, use the scraper to clean off any unwanted image parts and then to the nail....I really only ever stamp over gel, so no sticky base is needed unless you're doing reverse stamping, then i use a foil gel.... the sticky layers of the gel i find are too slimy and the image slips around on it, but usually a wiped gel is fine. Fine lines are harder so you did great...practice makes progress! I'd be happy to help answer any other questions you have ❤ i love maniology and CJS stamping plates😊
p.s. sorry for the chapter long comment 😂
I was trying to blame it on all my lighting, lol. But I just struggled just like I did when I first tried, hahaha. It definitely is user error for sure. I made sure to turn my ceiling fan off but had to have all of my lights on for filming, but I think you're absolutely right about not having enough polish. Once I started using a lot more polish, I was having a little better luck. Thank you a out the info about using gel polish. I had top coated the red I used here and wasn't sure if that was a mistake, but I was thinking it would slide around on the dispersion layer. So when you use your gel polish, you wipe the dispersion layer off and then lay your image down? I still can't get the black to work for me. Is black harder to pick up, or was I just not using enough, you think. I'm going back in to mess around with it more in just a bit. Maybe I will try to glob it on and see if that helps, lol. Thank you so much for all of the tips. I super need all of the help I can get with this, lol. You are amazing, Linn, and I appreciate you so much. And don't ever worry about long comments. I LOVE them. Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 I personally have never found that one polish works better than another, so I'm not sure why your problem is mainly with the black polish.... it's really a timing thing, if you get a good rhythm of scrape, pickup, apply. The filming lights could be making it warmer and drying the polish faster...maybe experiment without lights, not filming, no pressure... lol see if that makes any difference. But yea I just do the color gel and cure, then wipe off the inhibition layer and then apply any stamping then I double top coat for longevity.....I've seen a couple people online that stamp right onto that inhibition layer, but every time I forget to wipe it, the stamp just slips around on the nail and I'm like f#ck!! 🤬 so I redo it. You can also matte top coat and stamp over that... Talia(Talia's Nail Studio) is a good channel to check out she does lots and lots of stamping(her older videos are more instructional) but she'll stamp on matte and then use watercolor paints to fill in the stamp... it's kinda cool! I'm also planning a stamping 101 type video because I had just filmed a lil maniology haul(I'm trying to film a crap ton of stuff for when my nail studio is torn up, I'll have stuff to keep posting) but I'll try to address any common problems and troubleshoot them. It's hard to explain some stuff when you're not in person to see the pressure and what not, but I'll do my best to cover what I know🤗 so keep an eye out for that😘 thanks for the great video either way... showing that it's real life and things don't always go smoothly everytime!
Sticky stamping polish is better because you don’t have to rush there is great stuff at shemodren just until you get the hang of it , i had the same problem when i had started stamping
Sweet! I will absolutely check it out. Does that work well with gel polish also? And if you use it on gel polish, do you wipe the dispersion/inhibition layer off before you lay down the image with it? Thank you so much for letting me know about this. I will check these out and file the edges of my scraper. You are beautiful, and I hope you're having a great week so far. I appreciate you tons. Xoxo
I'm curious for you to try gel stamping - they usually come in tubes and it's a thick gel allllmost like those sculpting gel colors in the pots. I prefer them because they are easy to spread, you don't waste a lot of product, and you can take your time. You wipe off what you don't want, then cure it. It's the only way I've been able to do it. :D This came out looking great, but I'm sure it would have broken me the same way it has in the past!!
I actually have some stamping gel. I don't know why I didn't even think about trying it, lol. I have it and use it for art, hahah. I'm definitely going to give it a shot. Is it the same steps as the regular stamping polish? And do you do it on the dispersion layer on your gel polish or wipe that off? You are amazing, and I love ya tons S. I hope you're having a great week so far. Thinking about you tons. Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 I definitely wipe off the dispersion layer to get a "dry" surface, that seems to transfer best. And I use a very thin line at the top of the design I want, then swipe down so it spreads. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to clean the stamper afterwards - I need to look that up. I used alcohol and it pocks the surface, though it will still transfer, just not cleanly. Since it doesn't dry on the stamper, the sticky pad won't work. OOooh I just thought about this, I suppose I could cure the stamper and just peel it off? Now I'm curious. :D I'm like 80% recovered from the plague so hopefully next week is better. -_- Hugs!!
My final comments…I am SO impressed! you did an awesome job! You picked out some really intricate designs with fine lines which are harder to pick up! The only other thing I would tell you is that if you are having trouble picking up, try turning the plate and scraping in a different direction. Sometimes that makes all the difference! Thanks again Haley! You are awesome!
Thank you for saying that. I was OK with how they turned out, but I felt like I messed everything up. I've been playing with them again today and still am not getting it down right. I'm going to try turning the plate. I didn't even think about doing that. You are amazing, Diri. I appreciate you so much. Love you! Xoxo
i love the red nails😍 stamping is NOT my best friend hahaha. i got so frustrated i threw everything away... a little dramatic i know lol but you did a really good job. that holo is so pretty.
That's exactly how I was the first time I tried, too. I was absolutely defeated, so I understand what you went through, lol. I'm a little older now and have more patience, so I think it's a good time to try again. These turned out better than I thought they would, to be honest, and it's actually made me think... maybe there is hope for me after all. Hahah. You are so wonderful, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 you did a really good job. I'm definitely not ready to try again lol I'll stick with stickers for now hahaha
I’m thinking you might not have been using enough polish in the beginning. But I knew you were going to get it! I have that true crime plate also 😊 💜
I think you are absolutely right. As soon as I started using more polish, it was a little easier to pick up. I saw that true crime plate and was like ohhhhh shiiiitttt! Haha. You are beautiful and 6. I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
👏 you did a great job 💜
Thank you. I don't feel like I did, lol. Inside my head too much, I think lol. Love ya, Buni! Xoxo
It's a spicy meat of all....bahaha lil saucy
It's a spicy meataball! Haahhh
You can stamp on top of gel polish. That way, if you mess up the stamp, you can just wipe it off with your rubbing alcohol and try again. also, you don’t need the smudge free top coat if you are sealing with clear gel. just let the polish completely dry before adding gel on top. Another tip…SheModern sells a really great sticky stamping polish which allows you to go a little slower.
THANK YOUUUUUU. I don't understand why I'm having such a hard time with this, lol. I think maybe I'm panicking and getting too much into my head and making it more complicated than it actually is, lol. Do you use a base gel or just go on whatever color gel polish you're using?
@@HaleyDawn85 I usually use a base gel, then a color gel. I have been top coating that before stamping, but I don’t think you need to. I think stamp right on top of your color, and then use gel top coat. 🫶🏻
@Diri916 awesome, thank you so much!! You are awesome!! Xoxo
Way to kicks some ass! ❤❤❤❤
Oh gosh, I feel like I sucked it up so bad, lol. I'm ok with how they turned out, but I want to get sooooo much better at this. It's the one thing I have genuinely struggled with, lol. Thank you for spending your time with me. I appreciate you so much. Xoxox
Great job babe ❤
I feel like I sucked so bad, lol. Thank you so much. Sending you so much love. Xoxo
I can’t stamp for shit either. I’m with ya on this!! I literally get sooooo pi$$ed that I have to walk away lmao
This has been the first time I haven't given up lol. This is one thing that has plagued me for years and years now. So, now that I'm a little older and a little wiser, I figured it's a perfect time to give it another shot, lol. I hope you're having the best weekend everrr. Sending you so much love and appreciation! Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 You give me hope for these damn things! Lol Love your videos!!
Born ready!!! ❤❤ 😂
Whoop whoop mo fo!! Love ya so much. Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85❤ you had me laughing so hard in the beginning.. When you were talking abt how you panic when you have to do anything quick.. Lol. That is me!! I can multi task as long as i can take my time at it but not with any kind of speed in my step. Lol. And i swear i was just abt to ask you if you were gonna ever try stamping again because i was wanting to try to give it a shot.. You ended up doing a beautiful job girl! I love the Moths too! ❤❤
@Erica_In_AmERICA awe, well, thank you so much for saying that. I still feel like I failed horribly, lol. We are the same in that aspect, I panic if I have to do anything quickly. I need to work on that, but I don't know if I can ever change that, hahah. I'm definitely going to keep stamping because I want to be good at it, and I have more patience now than I ever have, so it's a good time to pick it back up, lol. I love you, girl. You are amazing! Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 💙💙💙💙
Hi Haley they look amazing I can’t do the plates with polish I tried acrylic paint it works a treat then top co😢it in. Love the videos xxx
Acrylic paints work, too? That's good to know! When I get better, I'll have to try it. I really want to keep trying things and get better with this. You are so wonderful, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
@@HaleyDawn85 oh thank you. Your so lovely x
@debraedwards3852 😀 you are the lovely one, my friend. Xoxo
You are doing great. Maybe push a little harder with the stamper on the plate. Also, the part that should be "fast" is after applying on the stamper, then don't waste too much time, put image on nail.
Ok! I'll try that. I think I need to make sure NY space is clearer also because I worry about spilling things too, lol. I will definitely try to be quicker with putting the image on the nail. Fingers crossed for me, please! I appreciate you so much beautiful. You are amazing. Xoxox
Listen I am so bad at stamping ok I know the frustration 🫤 😫 but ong that ouiji board one aaahhhhh ...I didn't know that u had to prime the stamper either
I had no idea until doing research and watching videos you needed to do that, lol. I think that was part of the problem the first time I tried.
☕you did it yhea
Kind of lol. It's definitely better than I ever have done before. I think I had myself worked up before I even started, so that didn't help at all. I'm excited to keep playing and messing around with it, though. Hopefully, I can get it down better. Thank you for spending your time with me today. You are amazing. Sending you so much love and appreciation. Xoxo
I am going to keep answering you like you are only talking to me! 😂😂😂 Sometimes I used Orly Bonder instead of sticky base coat.
I am talking to you! Hhahahah. Thank you so much. Seriously. I need all of the help I can get with this. You are wonderful, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo

I appreciate you so much girl. I hope you've had the best Monday ever! Xoxox
Love how you did the stamping on your nails you are so sweet and amazing love all the stamping plates and all the outher stuff i hope person would send me some stuff
Well, thank you, babe. I hope you're doing good, Christol. Love ya, girl. Xoxo
I also think you may be pressing to hard when you pick it up. you really just need to gently roll the tamper over the image, not press down. You got this!
I think you're absolutely right. Once I started being a little more gentle, I was having more luck with the other colors of stamping polish. I just can't get that black one to work for me.
@@HaleyDawn85 you might want to try the SheModern black sticky stamping polish. The only other thing I would check is the consistency…if if feels a little thick, maybe add a few drops of thinner and see if that helps?
@Diri916 ok! I will absolutely do that because it actually is thicker than the white, and the white worked great! Thank you again for all of the help and advice. Xoxo
Dude that was my problem I didn't have the smudge free top an no matter what I did they smeared I threw all my stuff an said aaahhhh....f this!!! Lmao...an never went back lmao...😅😆
The Canni top coat doesn't actually smudge it. I was so happy about that. That's exactly how I felt the first time I fried years ago. Now I really would like to be better at it. Sondra makes it look so dang easy!! Lol. I love youuuuu. Xoxo
See this is what I don’t like about stamping, you can’t make out the pictures. Unless I’m holding your hand up to my face I’m not going to see it. I, too, have heaps of plates, all the bits, spent sooo much money and have tried (let’s be real, not enough) and the only designs I like are lace, borders and edges. Like small stickers, I have no idea what the pattern is. You did really good for someone who has only done stamping a few times. Practice makes perfect I guess for me anyway. 🇦🇺❤️
I was wondering after reading your comment if there are any companies that do bigger imagines or is not possible with how fast everything needs to be done with stamping? I'm a long nail girl and would love bigger imagines that can be seen better. Thank you for saying that. Practice does make perfect, fingers crossed for me, please, hahha. I think I have more patience now than I did back when I first tried it, so maybe with that and these products, I'll have more luck, lol. You are beautiful, and I appreciate you so much. Xoxo
Aaaahhhhh that holo black bruh....
I knowww. It's so pretty. Just like you! Xoxo
Hey shug! Maniology reached out to me too and I will be working with them cause I can’t draw at ALL so I should learn stamping for sure. What was your experience working with them? And did you pick what they sent or did they? Curious. Ty! ❤

Morning you beautiful Mfer!
Haley that red is sooooo spicy, I love it! I'll have to invest in some stamping polish and try again. Happy Anniversary to you and Josh!(My brother-in-laws name is Josh, him and my sisters wedding anniversary was Sept 11😊)Aaron and I have been together for almost 32yrs and married for 27!
I hope you are doing well. today is a better day for me 😊
So much love to you 🔥💅💜🫂😘💩
@corinadarkes Yes! I'm so glad it's a better day for you. Congrats to you and hubby for having such a beautiful amount of time together. I can't wait for Josh and I to have that much time together under our belts. How cool that your brother in laws name is Josh, and they just celebrated their anniversary too! What are the frigging chances of that?! I love you so much and am so glad your day is as beautiful as you are. Xoxo
28:57 you poor thing. I FEEL your pain! 😢 can you use any gel or polish to stamp? Also did you just have on the red polish or topcoat too? (When stamping)
From what I understand, no, you can't use any gel or polish. It needs to be specific for stamping, but honestly, I'm just getting into it, so I'm not the best person to ask. I know Peejay has stamping gel, and it works really well for her, so I'm going to try that too to see if maybe I can get the hang of it that way and then maybe it will make using the polish easier for me once I get the hang of it. Hopefully, that makes sense. Because the stamping gel doesn't dry until cured so I can panic less and take my time and see what I'm doing wrong with the polish.
And I had a top coat on the red polish because I thought I needed a very smooth surface, but everyone has been telling me to do it on the dispersion/inhibition layer on your gel polish.
