It's good to see that there are few people that are brave enough to expose this kind of anomaly. This anomaly does not only happen in Mindanao but to the whole country. It happens in many different ways. Sad to say that very few Filipino really care for the country, as long as they will earn big money they do not care how many lives of countryman had been suffered. In the end even if a thousand martyrs sacrificed their lives it still won't solve the problem. It needs a strong leader who is willing to eliminate or kill the people behind the this anomalies and corruption.

We own a banana factory and a small fabric factory in western Mindanao
we treat the workers as family and provides health benefits for them. the biggest problem is they have more than two children. so their cost of living goes up, there are so many local schools so there is education, the one in question is the quality of education they get

Dole plantation is owned by a priest. These spanish priests first went to hawaii and forced the ruler to surrender their land to them and so they started the pineapple plantation then went here in the philippines. Ive read this a long time ago so im not sure of details. Priests are the richest people..they own mining companies also.

If philippines could just eliminate all elements of lawlessness and crimes and turn the country into a major tourist destination this poverty that we are seeing now would dissipate slowly but surely. duterte should boost up crime fighting mechanism in mindanao. if people in mindanao and the government could just see the Big picture..

I love the Philippines and support it in any way I can... This documentary makes me rethink my options, I always buy dole pineapple products because they are product of the Philippines... but since you mentioned they are sprayed with these nasty chemicals, I may not buy them again. killing the people that works the land and buys their product does not justify the so called progress or income generation for the few, especially that they are digging their own grave everyday they go to work.
I hope you will get the attention of proper authorities and make necessary changes for the good of all.
    kudos to the organic farmers.

If this is a problem now, which involves the "multinationals", opressing the people, then, "who is responsible" for letting the "multinationals" ENTER The Philippine archipelago, and who controls the salary of the workers, and how is the Philippine Nation paid by them?
There should be a government representational committee that checks all kinds of "labour agenda" - farming and business in The Philippines... these should be the Department of Foreign Affairs and The Department of Trade and Industry!
There should also be "representatives" comming from these departments, including Human Rights Ministry as such, to check on the "lands" - as to whether these lands are being treated with "toxic" chemicals!
These questions and concerns should be reperesented by local and govermental employees of the concerned area!

Human Resource of these multi-nationals company knows the rights of these workers and exploitation of these workers. The Board of Directors knows how much money they make out the labor of these workers. Alow them to form a union to protect themselves from unfair labor practices. It is time to give back to the most important asset of the company...the human resource. Give fair salaries and benefits to these workers. Share holders of these companies, their executives lives in luxurious villas and living in abundance while their workers live on a day to day existence. We want you to practice compassionate capitalism! This is a land of Filipinos where your money come from.

It is really sad to watch these Filipinos are suffering like this, it is the same in many other countries, pero siguro, mababawasan ang magugutom at lalaking gutom at educated at magiging katulad ng MAGULANG nila, at Paulit ulit na lang, kaya unang gamutin ay ang pagdami ng Bata, 2 children should be enough, pag walang magawa sa gabi, maagang mahihiga, kaya taon taon buntis si babae, pero kung may family planning, maiiwasan ang pag dami ng bata.

Its the people from luzon and visayas fault who made what mindanao is today. i feel sad for my ancestors having to go through so much and i've never been to my homeland mindanao since my parents have. One day i will go and hug everyone in mindanao and come together as one, make our own country. seperate us from the evils from the north who deceived their ancestral roots (not mentioning the tribes up north since they still claim their preserved cultures, i thank them for that.).

Let us be fair with this industry that help Mindanao a lot. It has generated legal wage income and business opportunities for a lot of people. Agitation is also a form of exploitation.
I do wish for a healthy environment for the fruit industry. But you could better address this in any other way than demonizing.
Address this to companies and government regulators. We in the public may be influenced by your show. But does this really reflect the complete picture? Please look at the filters of your lenses.
Tahimik po ang Mindanao. PAGOD na kami sa gulo.

Shame on you turning blind eye to the truth, sadly it’s not just happening in Mindanao but everywhere in Philippines po. Hopefully maliwagan ka at maniwala sa katotohanan, godbless po.
