Yeeeeeessss!! I am literally whipped up into a frenzy of excitement! I have booked up to start my R44 rating course on this new Cadet, starting in a weeks time. Having just renewed my R22 rating with Ice Helicopters I can say that they are an absolutely first class training establishment in all respects. Jack and Neil are fantastic instructors and all the staff from Martin (the owner) down are super friendly, lovely people. If you are considering doing your PPL (H) or fancy a new type rating, don’t hesitate to contact Ice Helicopters at Elstree. I guarantee you will not be disappointed that you did 😀😀👍

Not sure you explained why it's cheaper for training... and safer then r22/r44...
    Could you elaborate?

R44 is more forgiving than a R22. The blades have more inertia which gives you more comfortability/confidence in the realm of auto-rotations.

Alfi, we have a number of videos lined up to do exactly that - stay tuned!

Yep will be more than happy watching these.
Actually I am qualified on R22 & R44. It would be intetesting flying a cadet for comparison... eg flying solo R44, the heels of skids would be last/ first leaving ground. Is it the same with Cadet or did Robinson change CG by default?

@@alfi1ere256 Alfi, we are yet to receive the balance schedule for our aircraft, so we're still learning. But, we expect the lack of rear seats to shift the C of G forward a bit. Come fly with us and find out! 😀

Will the training rates on this be the same as the R22?

    • @bryandunkley1256

I would guess that it would be closer to the likes of a G2 rather than a R22 in terms of rate.

Hi, they will be slightly more expensive than the R22, however lower than our R44 Clipper II. Hope this helped!

What on earth is up with the audio?

Doug, we're very sorry about the sound quality. A microphone malfunction wasn't helped by the wind and noise of the unboxing! It's been addressed, and we've done our utmost to improve the sound and make the content watchable 😀
