This is easily my favorite scene of the Ring cycle, also the first ever piece of art to make me cry. Hearing it live in Bayreuth a month ago rewired my brain. I cannot believe how lucky I am to be a student of music.
WOW i've heard it so many times but this is one of the few times [along with maybe the first time] that i got CHILLS, like... full body chills when he started singing "Liebwohl du kuhnes herrliches kind!" that section just slammed me like a mac truck. Damn. Wagner might've been a horrible person but he sure wrote awesome music, I say it every time.
I can relate very well to the fact that one can get chills from said passage every time even more. Yes, Wagner was a horrible person, but passages like these are pure gold.

The high D# and the surrounding music is easily my favorite moment in the Ring cycle outside of Brünnhilde's immolation scene
Great work! So many modulations lol
