Talking Watches With Jake Bailey, Joe Cardona And Nick Folk Of The New England Patriots

- Today's Talking Watches is more than just our first episode of the new year. It's also the first time we've featured three collectors in a single video. What can we say, they work as a team.
The team in question is the New England Patriots. And the players in this episode are punter Jake Bailey, long snapper Joe Cardona, and placekicker Nick Folk.
Their work on the field has made them close friends, and has led them together down the rabbit hole of watch collecting. While a lot of athletes play a perpetual game of one-upmanship to see who can be first to wear the latest hype watch, these guys buy vintage Seikos for one another as gifts, they influence each other's high-dollar acquisitions, and they share personal stories together about what each of their watches means to them.

Was NOOTTT expecting to see seiko pogue and capt Willard!
Loved it wasn't just Rolex
I know right
How much do those Pogues go for more or less?
@@patminella7951 $600 - $1100 USD
I love how they actually love the watches, and put meaning in all of them, right down to Seiko's; not just a bunch of unrelatable rich dudes buying super expensive pieces because they can. One of the best Talking Watches ever! Hopefully Hodinkee returns to this sort of content.
Agreed any true enthusiast has to appreciate seiko and their horological history and achievement
I actually love that they started out with the Pogue and the Willard. Great to see some very cool vintage Seikos, and legit vintage Rolex too. This was a surprising TW episode! Loved it.
Being a resident Bostonian, watch enthusiast, and life-long Pats fan, and working for the Air Force (just like my dad), this video is just too awesome. Loved hearing all the stories about the watches, seeing this filmed in southie, and also covering the last two SB wins!
Always interesting to see how watches can unite all kinds of people. From a craneoperator to sports athletes.
Indeed. Two great back-to-back episodes with relatale guys.
I am not that much of a Rolex fan anymore but I really like that you can actually see that buying these watches was a momentous occasion for these guys and not an "I have too much money, this is nothing for me" situation. It kind of humanizes the story of these watches for some reason.
This is fantastic. A welcome return to form for Talking Watches. Great pieces, interesting stories, true enthusiasts.
It’s nice to see some lower price point collectors. Watching guys lay out their 50 Patek’s and really not even care about them was getting old. I’d like to see more eclectic collections with stories behind the watches like these.
that sub without the bezel is craaaazy. especially with the story behind
Yo! Im more surprised that he mentioned watches of espionage! Glad to see more seikos in the collection. No hate just love.
Pretty cool to see how down to earth they are. I like the way they see the watches as heirlooms and not flashy wrist candy. Good taste all
They're kickers and long snapper lmfao not wide receivers
idk why but this shot killed me 😂😂 12:47 hair helmet
Expected it hate it cuz it was athletes w Rolexes but honestly turned out great they were true watch lovers
As a huge patriots fan, this is awesome. Well done!
So happy to see some seikos on hodinkee, the pogue and cpt Willard are classics - beautiful pieces.
And then they jumped back in to the same Rolex pieces we've seen almost every damn episode of talking watches. Daytonas and Subs are everywhere, while these guys have personal stories attached to their Rolexs, I think the seikos are way more interesting
Great episode 👊🏽 Nice to see pros who aren't the superstars and their personal poisons! Looove their choices, personal collections and connections. True enthusiasts
Bro if this guy just wears a 6264 Paul Newman out and about, that’s wild. That’s a quarter of a million dollar watch.
This was a really great episode. Thank you!
The cinematography from Hodinkee never disappoints! This was a great one. Well done.
love that they all have a 6139 pogue (cevert)!
Great vid! Nice one Logan!
Glad to see Logan hosting!
Well played fellas.
Excellent video.
This was a cool episode.
Why is the interviewer wearing a football helmet?
Great episode and a bit refreshing to see.
Haha , my co worker does their payroll! Capo lol 😂!
FOR THE BRAND!
Haha slip em a Seiko and watch the chaos unfold.
Sub 1956 with a tritium dial, I don’t think so. That’s unfortunately a redial with un matching hands. Sentimental value of course 😢
I also have my father’s 1977 1680. Cool to see another one. My band is also very worn and I got quoted 2k for a new one. Just have to stick to the old one.
Bro the seikos are goated
That captain Willard worn through Vietnam is something special
You guys should join the local Redbar Boston Chapter!
Great
They seem like nice lads
hype or not, a 6263 Daytona is undeniably cool and will be forever.
W.O.E. !!!
That dudes hair though!
Sup fam 👌🏼
Great video, but we want Clymer back in these videos
I will never understand the Rolex craze , but those Seikos are pretty cool.
Go Navy! Beat Army!
Talk about sports watches 😂😂😂😂😂
Nice to see more Rolex collectors 🙄🙄🙄
Where’s the waterboy?
I guess in the USA, some hairstyles are deemed unremarkable...
Dudes sub is worth a mint
should have got them a rolex gmt pepsi
miss tom
13 min of American cliches, perfect.
So the athletes and the famous can get the Daytona, but the common man on the street...! Don’t we all pay with the same currency...?
Suprised the water boy was not invited
WOE🥸
Yes, more Rolex!!! We all need more Rolex stories, so cool to see another talking Rolex episode.
Really? Seems like just a flex piece now. His grandfather got it when it was affordable and made sense. The equivalent of around 800 bucks them. Those prices are just for showing off now.
@@jonboy8181 it was a sarcasm
@@mwojciakah, of course. Sorry, haha, hard for me to tell in the written form. Cheers!
Kind of messed up they give the Pro Bowlers a $50 POS
How original… 3 football players with Rolex watches… 😏
Bailey just got cut
Malaika (@malaikamc) needs to get hold of the hosts style he's having a nightmare, bad hair, bad beard, I think I even spotted a ring on the index finger, other than that great episode 👍🏼
What? The hair’s awesome!
🌈🌈🌈🌈
They are nice guys but the watches are the same old, same old.
2k for a rolex bracelet?!? They should be ashamed of themselves! What a turn off.
Why are Super Bowl winners called world champions? It’s a US competition, no one else in the world plays American ‘soccer’…. 🧐
LA vs Cincinnati....and the winner is.....USA..USA...USA.....
we dont want to hear from these random dudes,. get some better players
what watch is the host wearing?
The hosts hair/ head is bothering me
