      you can take a horse to water...but you cant make him drink, its not the trainer its how well Thor picks it up and applies it, I love Bas as well, but I've been watching both guys and to me "currently" Eddies on a different level at the moment, he's faster, more fluid, his combination work is way better and he keeps his guard up...now we still have a year till the fight...but as it stands if they were fighting next week my money at the bookmakers would be on Eddie all day long, I think EH has made this an obsession like he did his strongman career, It'll be interesting to see where both of them are in 6 to 9 months time where they are going to be more "complete" boxers, Its not to say that Thor can't catch up, but he has a lot of work to do.

      It’s actually shown that making sounds from using the diaphragm/upper chest area while doing chest exercises like flys and presses helps recruit more muscle fibers as well because it helps to tighten the area of the chest this could be true with striking as well the sounds could help brace the core and recruit more fibers during shots thus making more force and better reaction speeds due to the extra muscle fibers firing off

    Interestingly enough, Thor seems to be moving towards a more "technical" (comparatively) fighter while Eddie has a clear upper edge in ferocity. I think Eddie's approach might lead to faster results - his strikes and tempo look way faster than Thor's currently - but if Thor can develop enough of a fight-IQ and timing sense, he might reach the superior state in the end. The question is if he'll reach that point in time for the fight however, and if Eddie will manage to combine his ferocity with a trickiness that's usually required to deal with taller opponents (in my limited experience at least).

    • @philanaemic
      @philanaemic 3 года назад +3

      Eddie's punches look impressive because he's sparring with partners so much smaller than himself and his videos are much better edited than Thor's. I just looked over his most recent video and he punches hard and fast, yes, but he also holds his hands high and wide. Drawing back for big, long strikes. Just the techniques shown to Thor in this video, IF he drills them to perfection, would be enough to defeat that kind of style.

    • @milesward1211

      Here is what you're not considering, Eddie has been training boxing for years, what you're seeing is a guy who should by this point know what he's doing, he certainly knows how to do an impressive 5 second clip on the pads. Eddie is a competent hobbyist boxer, but he's full of holes and terrible habits that he shows no signs of addressing.
      What you're seeing now is a race, Eddie had a massive head start, but Thor is closing the distance far faster than Eddie should be comfortable with.

      @@jinglebells223 That's not true. The end of the Vikings usually considered to be at the Battle of Hastings year 1066 when William the Conqueror won that battle and became king of England. He was a deascendent from the Vikings.
      The vikings didn't lose a war and went home or something like that. What they did was to assimilate in the countries they were present in and went on with their lives and from 1066 to 1087 England was ruled by a man that was part viking. This is how vikings worked and this is how the viking era ended but a better word is 'evolved' not ended.

      Eddie isn't explosive, he is strong. And his technique is better because he always did boxing for cardio, way before this event was a thing. But the downside for him is that he has less room for development, except for slimming down and getting faster. Thor is just learning. And to be honest, his hands looked quicker than Eddie's here. From the looks of it it looked like it would be easy for Eddie, I still think he'll win but it might not be that easy.
