    This is so cool! I actually got a really nice shark tooth but had no idea how to make it into a necklace. I love this wire wrap idea!

    God, that's so much easier than what I was doing! I had this.. multiple piece.. tied around itself and locked down.. way more complicated than it needed to be and I wasn't really happy with it. I'm gonna just do this, it's WAY easier.

      @@fireflycarrboro I have a spool of stainless wire on the way as well as something like 2k jump rings. My meg tooth is about the same size as the one in this video, it needs a weighty persian weave chain to hang from.

    I would not use the flat pliers to bend the copper wire to tighten up. It leaves a mark on the wire making it weak and could eventually break. Use round ones✌️

    • @fireflycarrboro
      @fireflycarrboro  3 года назад +3

      True, you certainly could leave a mark if you’re not careful. This is just a design element and you do have to do it gently. I have never had one break on me though, even as I wear it for years. But then again, just to reiterate to all, be gentle with the tools and of course, keep practicing until things go smoothly for you.

    • @101turk
      @101turk 3 года назад +3

      @@fireflycarrboro yes, I was trying some harsh bends and when I went back to make minor adjustments it broke, I noticed rounds players didn’t leave the dents as bad, seemed solve problem. Very nice and quick wrap by the way, looking forward to seeing more videos.

      @@101turk Yeah, that can definitely happen. Round nose pliers are good, too, but can sometimes do a little more damage to the wire depending on what you're doing. But honestly, everyone works differently and practicing is the only way to figure out what works for you! I feel like I am still learning something new everyday :D ha! Thanks for your feedback!

    If you have ever seen how they get these teeth, you would be ashamed. They pull sharks out of the ocean, cut their fins and teeth off and throw them back. People kill 300,000 sharks a day. And they are vital for a healthy ocean.

    • @AppalachianRocks
      @AppalachianRocks 6 месяцев назад +5

      They're fossilized, ma'am... 🤦🏻‍♂️
      Anyway, sharks drop and replace their teeth faster than a hound after a fox, and they go through over 1000 in a lifetime, so why would anyone need to pull them?
