read the history of Indian Railways , IR is a _NAVRATAN COMPANY_ of India and it has been doing great since 1947. Shatabdi , Rajdhani other char class trains hawa se toh nahi aayi , connectivity of NE states , J&K to rest of India BJP ke rule mein toh nahi huye , Konkan Railways Route is a masterpiece of Indian Railways was also not incorporated between 2014 -2018. Dont just look at beautification of coaches

I am saying dat these past 4 years v all saw rapid rise in evolutionising the Indian Railways and making us comparable to the world standards.
if you have ever traveled in Konkan Railways route you will get to know why the track doubling is not an easy job in Konkan region , its goes through 100s of bridges, viaducts and 100s of tunnels. And 100% electrification of all the routes will take at least 10 years from now !! Yes corruption is main reason India has been lagging behind from the nations which got freedom in the same year. But calling BJP or Modi govt a 100% corruption free govt will be a mistake and it will be a hoax..

To be honest, the Indian Railways in house design and development team are doing a fantastic job quietly rather than our in house defence "manufacturing" organisations like DRDO and HAL. When I see these progress of Indian Railways, I am always happy but soon I become sad. Do our people deserve it, definitely not. I wish there is some sort of heavy electric shocks which would punish people when they "innocently" try to pull out or damage delicate parts for fun or for the purpose of stealing.

As an NRI and having widely traveled across Europe on SNCF, Renfe, Deutsche Bahn and other trains, I am happy to see a Made in India train that exactly meets the European standards even in the minutest of the amenities. We are now another step closer to a better India. Looking forward to seeing large scale production and replacement of existing trains!

After Duronto which encouraged point to point service and changed the way India Travel. Train 18 is real value add to Indian Railways adding much awaited speed of travel. Eager to see all Satabdi, Rajdhani and Duronto's being upgraded.

Excellent but they should have made it at least to reach a top speed of 200km/hr. if we manufacture 160km/hr trains in 2018 then when are we going to build a minimum of 220km/hr trains?? Any even an initiative was taken now by BJP government to revamp the Indian railways. thank to Modi sarkar..
Whats the use of a 220 km/hr if the tracks are not yet upgraded.Only a single section of India has 160 km/hr capability.
It is caable of 200, mostly they run at 180 at certain sections, for 200 signaling system should be provided with AWS.
Bhai train ka total horsepower 10000 hp hai, ye 220 + bhi ja Sakti hai, par hamare tracks sirf 160 tak handle kar sakte hain, wo bhi sirf Delhi Agra section.
The 220+ bullet train is yet to come.... Train 18 is semi high speed.... Not high speed
Very less chance that its capable of 200 km/hr.Its design speed is 180 km/hr with operating speed 160 km/hr.Even if it makes a 200 km/hr motor efficiency may go down drawing more power from line making it more costly to run.To run at a speed of 220 km /hr better to design a new train.

All the CCTVs in the world will not stop our fellow passengers from their wrecking mentality dost. i once travelled in bhopal shatabdi where this marwari family's uncontrolled children were using a screw driver to scratch "painting" onto the lunch latch thing that u pull down. they then tugged and pulled it till it broke - and the idiot mararwaris laughed ...that happens in bits and pieces over months by such fools and the overall effect is the news we have read over and over..see what they did to Mahanama express and Tejas express. and there are no CCTV inside bathrooms lol - the place thats ruined the most.
