Germany certainly has good things, like health insurance, unemployment insurance, pension insurance, low cost of living. But it also has some things that are not going well compared to other countries. Comparatively low salaries especially in important and social professions (these are not high in comparison!), high rents in cities, bad public transport, high electricity prices, a worse pension model than e.g. Sweden or the Netherlands, bad bicycle infrastructure, no good school model (related to individual learning or inclusion), etc.

Munich is one of the most expensive citys to live in the republic, and one of the most beautiful.
The rents are unaffordable with an avarage income, but worse, there are hardly any apartments. I think, you can't get by with English for a while but not in the long run. At least some German would be usefull. Truck drivers are very much in demand, unfortunately i don't know the exact salary, but I don't think the pay is very good. I would guess about 40000 p. a. before tax. That would be aprox. 2200 € netto for as singele personn. I think min. should be 1500 € net to live decent, but thats by far not enough in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg......Where i live, middle sized city 100000 inhab,. a 50 qm apartment costs aprox. 350 €, electr. 50 €, heating depends, at the moment due to the war in ukraine, very expensive. I think many of the food prices in the film are (much) to expensive, you can get good food for lesser prices. But it is much cheaper than in Denmark, when we went on holiday there, we were shocked, because almost everthing was more expensive than in Germany.
