I am part Japanese and I used to live in Kyoto. This is my favorite Japanese travel vlog I’ve ever seen! Partly because it was so food oriented lol. I miss ekiben! Great job👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This vlog is so helpful. We already booked our ticket and our arrival is Narita and that would be on Feb 2025,and pauwi ng Pinas is via Osaka,so perfect!!!❤would like to ask your itinerary sana wherein included na po yung Hotel sana where you had stayed in each day after your trip.Hope mapansin ang message ko.😊
Wifey and I will follow your footsteps I think ... precisely. Great overview in 7-days. After which - we'll decide on a second 'make-it-up-as-we-go-along' week. Thank you very much for this great plan.
Behind this amazing video is a gem of an experience in Japan! Well-planned, experience-focused, well-documented (including video capturing, editing, and story telling), and well-rounded. You made 7 days travelling to many Japanese places/cities such a pleasure for all the senses - capturing snippets of the actual journey (including inside houses/hotels), a bit of culture and history, well-rounded cuisine, local products, and even dressing up many times to really make an immersive experience! One of the best travel videos I've seen in RUclips, ever.
Looks like you didn't get caught in rain on your entire trip, so that was lucky in that it allowed you to walk everywhere and do things. Very nice video with easy to listen to narration and music that wasn't annoying. I am so looking forward to my next trip to Japan. I have stayed in Takayama and Shirakawa Go too, and I felt like the ryokan in Takayama and minshuku in Shirakawa Go were the same ones I stayed at! Just a reminder for those planning to visit, it's considered bad manners to eat and walk, so just stand in one spot to eat if you want to eat it right away. Also everyone should know not only to "rinse" before entering the onsen water, but also wash well before you rinse. Applies to sento baths as well.
We actually did in Kanazawa and Shirakawago but glad it stopped and we were able to walk. Thanks for sharing your travel tips and glad you liked the video. Kanpai!
What an awesome itinerary! I am currently planning our Japan trip this March-April and your video gave me a lot of ideas especially the samurai and kimono experience! I highly appreciate you listing all the info and links in the description box. Keep up the great work and God bless your channel!
Thanks for sharing the great journey to Japan, 7 days itenerary is really inspiring to have second trip there, since i never been in some great places that you share here, well done
This is the ultimate Japan adventure! Great video, I love how aesthetically pleasing it is, it's beautiful! Please let me know if you'd like to add Spanish subtitles to this video! Love from Argentina 🤗
Hi, Ralph and Maria!!✨ Your video is great!! Thank you for introducing Japan so attractively. I was so happy to enjoy Takayama with you! I'm sure your video will attract many people and make them want to travel Japan just like you experienced and enjoyed!!🤗
Thanks Lily for making our trip to Takayama a fun and memorable one! Guys be sure to book Lily for (Takayama: Private Walking Tour with a Local Guide) here: bit.ly/TTTTakayama
That was a pretty packed itinerary- but I am impressed. Galing! Hats off to you and your planning. For first timers you’ve covered a lot of the places that are on some of most people’s bucket list.
Wow! Everything in this video is very well done: documenting, filming, editing and everything else Congrats Ralph! Can't wait for the Europe episode 😍 😄
Wow! What an amazing “7 days in Japan “ vlog. This is exactly what I been looking into doing with my wife and kids for our 2nd trip to Japan. Specifically staying in a Ryokan and experiencing the hot springs. I will definitely be following your itinerary. Thanks for sharing.
This is such a great video! One of the best itinerary videos out there and so helpful as we plan our own trip to Japan! Love that your guys took a different route-thanks so much for sharing.
That was one whirlwind tour!! It was nice to see you fill every day to the fullest. The pace of your vlog was just right, quick but full of interesting info and sights.
What a great video. Your trip and most of the places you visited I will also be seeing later this year. So this has been a real insight to what I can expect when I get there. Looks like a good part of the trip will be discovering all the local food. There is here a great variety of Asian foods, so I already have a liking for Asian food. Hmm the waistline may take a beating.
Thanks for sharing your Japan adventure. We've been twice before Covid and been at same places you visited. Brings back found memories and hoping to go back this November for my cousins traditional Japanese wedding
Thank you! Shinkansens (bullet train) have overhead space for carryons. you can reserve the seats at the back of the train for larger luggages. For buses, they have storage on the sides.
We are going on our honeymoon to Japan in October I have already made the itinerary, but after watch this vlog i will change a lot of things because the vlog was so well done and the food… omg the FOOD I wanna try it so hard
Wow what a lovely video! Very informative and inspiring. I would love to hear about budgeting for these trips - maybe as a side video? We are doing a similar trip in June, but Im concerned about affording certain experiences! Would love to hear your thoughts? Thank you from Australia!
Thanks for watching! I posted the link to accommodations and experiences in the description so you'll have an idea for budgeting. I recommend prioritizing experiences you wanna do and staying at accommodations within the budget. Ex. we splurged in a ryokan in Shibu Onsen but stayed at a budget hotel in Osaka. Have fun on your Japan trip!
This is best video on travel to Japan. Can you please make other videos just like this on other places too? Really enjoyed this so much that we watched it three times. Can you do one on South Korea and Italy? - Just anywhere. Thank you!!!!
Thank you for this very informative vlog. I am planning a trip this summer for my family. I was wondering what other transportation pass was used beside the Hokuriku Arch Pass for this trip? Bus pass? Again thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Aside from the Hokuriku Arch Pass, we purchased train and bus tickets not covered by the JR pass. Those are cheap and can be purchased with cash or tapping a Suica reloadable card
WOW... you guys did this in 7 days. love all the stay and different places you stayed at. Thank you for sharing. Hope to cross path with you guys on our journey some day. One last thing, what time of year was this? Look like the fall time frame.
Thank you for coming to Japan. Next time, please come to Niigata for sushi🍣 Niigata is a paradise of rice and seafood,so Sushi is so delicious✨Please come again!
I have been in Japan for more than a dozen times and for the last 3years due to the pandemic, we have not been anywhere but home. Your videos are very good. It brings us back to Japan! One small suggestion: let your camera stay longer and move slower in each nice place and nice meals so we, the viewers, can enjoy the places and food more. Your narratives and descriptions are excellent!
This video is wonderful… i would like to have the same experience going to Japan. Did you have a tour guide the whole way? If yes can you share the details so we can avail of the tour. Thanks and more power to your Channel!!
Wow! I've been to Japan 4 times, but now I really want to try this route. Great job for your first trip to Japan, I'm impressed. Did you book most of your itinerary before you got there? I've always wanted to stay at a Ryokan, and hopefully I'll get a chance on my next trip.
Wow which area in Japan is your favorite?..Do it! Less road traveled but packed with fun, memorable experiences. We booked our trips prior to arrival and definitely stay at least in one ryokan for experience.
This the new “tourist line” Japan been actively promoting. Afaik, there’s an unlimited ride train ticket for tourists along the line. Quite pricey, but covers a lot of ground.
It’s actually called the “New Golden Route” which actually is much cheaper compared to the usual Tokaido shinkansen/Old route. Yes, unlimited for 7 days within the JR system
Such an informative vlog! Just want to confirm if RC hotel has an elevator. I’ve been on the lookout because I want to stay in Gion but there aren’t a lot of vlogs that covered this hotel.
I'm glad you find the video informative! RC Hotel does not have an elevator but the staff were really helpful in helping with our luggage or you can request ground floor. We love RC, location is perfect if you wanna explore Gion
Wow this actually super well made and one of the best 'X days in Japan videos' yet; got a sub outta me! My only question is for travelling on the train, bringing checked luggage seems difficult, especially on a bus! Did you guys have any issues?
Thank you so much for watching and sub! I'm glad you love the video. Bringing checked luggage is doable just remember in bullet trains, you have to reserve the back part of the seats to store luggage. For longer route buses, they have storage on the bottom side. Train stations can also store it if you're doing a day trip like we did in Kanazawa. Hope this helps!
It depends on what time you’re boarding. Some requires reservation. You can check the Nohi Bus website on my description. we didn’t reserve ours on this trip.
There are so many "7-days-in-Japan" videos on RUclips, but yours is the best I have seen by far.
Thank you! A lot of work (and eating) were put into it so we're glad to hear it.
I agree 1000%
Only 7 days, they had good time and good experiences.
I think this video will be a hint to everyone who is going to travel in Japan.
Thank you! Next time we'll definitely spend more days in Japan.
