I watched the show both dubbed and subbed, and several of the voices you guys are hearing are being played at scenes where there is a lot of emotion. Like Levi talking to Kenny for example, Levi was emotional and frustrated here and that's why his voice sounds more agitated. In normal scenes, his voice is more chill.
Bruh don’t bother when it comes to subbed subbbed watchers are super fanboyish even the I’d say the majority of dubs nowadays is on par if not better then subbed. It’s just a bias cause that’s how very one watches anime nowadays.

Armin's dub voice is one of the best choices in the cast in my opinion. If the clip was the whole speech, it'd probably sit better with everyone. To be fair, that's the case with each one. I would've preferred it to be a compilation of voice clips rather than one short clip each. You can't judge a dub by a few words from each character.
A lot of people have said it already, but these were the worst clips to judge, and they aren't nearly long enough. That was a scene if Historia being series. Levi was angry. Armin was yelling. Eren's voice is supposed to deep in Season 4. Mikasa was practically crying. etc. Also going in with a lense of not liking Dubbed(or not preferring it )is going to make you instantly write it off. If you watch something subbed the dubbed voices will sound off. If you watch some dubbed the subbed voices will sound off. AOT is on a high tier for dubs.
*There's also a fact that people often overlook where the subbed voices might not be as good as you think, because you can't understand what they are saying(just because it's "the original" doesn't make it better). Of course that's not always the case, but it can be.
Agreed, I used to not like Goku's sub voice, but after playing a few games with the Japanese dub and watching Super, I'm in love with it. Comparing Masako Nozawa to Sean Schemmel is like apples and oranges to me anymore.

The problem I have is that the clips are too singular, you need multiple voice clips to properly convey the voice of the character. You can't just have one clip of them yelling or talking really loudly and expect it to represent the entire range of the character's voice. You have to have clips of them speaking normal, clips of them yelling and clips of them speaking loudly.

It says a lot about my auditory abilities when I knew the Reiner voice immediately not because of recognizing the voice itself since I haven't watched the show in English, but because I recognized the music that was playing it the background, and exactly when that happened. You have the music swell with the reveal of Reiner and Bertholdt being titans plus when they're attacked then knocked down, then you hear the solo female singer as they both get back up and transform as the lightning strikes the wall and sends everything flying away. I remember it all so clearly.
I've watched AOT in dub all the way through multiple times and I couldn't even get some of these right. Whoever picked these clips went out of their way to choose some of the worst ones. I thought the Levi one was Bertholdt, I don't recall Levi ever sounding like that in the show normally. Same with Mikasa, Armin, and Erwin. Also throwing in that random young Rod Reiss one was just unfair. The clips they chose do absolutely no justice to the dub for this show.

Honestly, it feels like they chose the clips that would deliberately make the dub sound bad, like choosing a scene were Levy is pissed and then complain that he doesn't sound calm enough when the Levy has the same calm voice in the sub and dub.
This is why you need to watch more than a single clip of a character in their dub voice. Besides, I watch the Attack on Titan dub, and I really love it.

I was gonna write a whole ass comment about how people like Sasha’s and reiners voices are actually pretty good if you watch more than one clip, but as you guys kept calling some of my favorite voices form the show bad I just gave up

I love how they judge the VAs so harshly based on 2 second audio clips, not even giving them a chance just so brainwashed by the idea of sub supremacy that they cant hear anything else and think its good. Eren’s voice is supposed to be deep in season 4. Reiner and Levi sound a lot better in different clips

It says a lot about my auditory abilities when I knew the Reiner voice immediately not because of recognizing the voice itself since I haven't watched the show in English, but because I recognized the music that was playing it the background, and exactly when that happened. You have the music swell with the reveal of Reiner and Bertholdt being titans plus when they're attacked then knocked down, then you hear the solo female singer as they both get back up and transform as the lightning strikes the wall and sends everything flying away. I remember it all so clearly.

I've watched AOT in dub all the way through multiple times and I couldn't even get some of these right. Whoever picked these clips went out of their way to choose some of the worst ones. I thought the Levi one was Bertholdt, I don't recall Levi ever sounding like that in the show normally. Same with Mikasa, Armin, and Erwin. Also throwing in that random young Rod Reiss one was just unfair. The clips they chose do absolutely no justice to the dub for this show.

Honestly, it feels like they chose the clips that would deliberately make the dub sound bad, like choosing a scene were Levy is pissed and then complain that he doesn't sound calm enough when the Levy has the same calm voice in the sub and dub.

This is why you need to watch more than a single clip of a character in their dub voice. Besides, I watch the Attack on Titan dub, and I really love it.
