Song: My Immortal (Instrumental)
I really liked him as a well rounded villain. He starts off by trying to be the good man (from his and the legal point of view) and gradually grows darker in his methods with each personal injury he suffers. I like this kind of realistic villain with alot of human qualities. He always leads from the front like when he didn't think twice to engage Blackbeard himself .
He and Flint were very similar. Both have lost everything close to them, driving them to change from a man once full of hope and ambition to a ruthless murderer willing to do anything to achieve his end goal. Amazing character, who would have been loved by people had he been fighting alongside Flint, Vane or Blackbeard.
The calm badass is always a win, and boy was he patient, he really allowed his strength to be displayed.
So many great multidimensional characters in this series.
He was the best character...I like him so much....
Why everyone seems to hate him ?!...
He killed teach and Blackbeard still made him look like a bitch
He's a piece of shit. Absolutely no regard for peace. He only wants war and is driven by bloodlust. Jack explicitly explained this.
@@Hieimaro well....piracy is a crime... and the pirates were outlaws....so...seems I'm on the right side😉 also I like him because he is brave and has no fear at all...and always does what he think right....without any influence
@@bigsmoke1137 well blackbeard was not exactly an angel....
@@Hieimaro oh yes...because Jack himself had such a high moral standard...🤪come on!...let's be honest...they were pirate....and Rogers was the "good guy"....
What he Did that make him worst than the other?....#TeamWoodesRogers
Naughty Edward Teach has been cought red handed! Justice!
I loved him, he was sure he was doing the right thing, but that was not and he sacrified the love of his life and his punishment is living with that! I loved (probably I am the only one) Rogers and Eleanor together, I believed in their love and I was so sad that he caused Eleanor death. He should have listened her but he wanted to win at all costs. I wonder if things would have been different if he knew that Eleanor carried his child 😢. Thanks for the tribute ❤
Chiara np he deserved a tribute!!! they have a statue of him in todays Nassau
Chiara It seems crazy to me that we can believe in the love between Rogers and Eleanor, I have to say ... You know that the creators of the show themselves said that Rogers and Eleanor did not know each other, right? That Eleanor loved an idealized version of Rogers, right, and that she never knew who her husband was? For me, if you love an illusion, it is not love. It's a lie. Eleanor loved only what she wanted to see in Rogers, not the real man he was, she did not know him. And the little she saw of the man he was was when he brought the Spaniards back to Nassau. And it was so horrible that she could not believe it. That she refused to believe that her husband was such a monster. That she had been blind at this point. And it's the same for Rogers. He loves nothing of the true Eleanor, and he does not know the true Eleanor. The little he saw of her, he called it ... insidious. And lord, he has no respect for her, he belittles her. Everything is so unhealthy, twisted and bizarre between them, nothing natural, as if they both played a comedy or their own roles surpass them. To die is the best thing that happened to Eleanor in season 4. Because this marriage was doomed to failure. One can not live in lie and illusion all his life. Sooner or later, Rogers and Eleanor would have figured out how much they did not know and how much they did not like what they really was. At that time, Eleanor would have been stuck. She would have hanged herself to escape this. And lord, she would never endure a life in London with him. She already qualified in season 4 of her life as a subject "sacrifice", saying that "mutilates herself" to help Rogers. You realize what English life is for her? A sacrifice that mutilated her. And from the moment she married Rogers, she condemned herself to this life. She would have gone mad! Thank God, death has delivered her from this. And of him.
You are not only one who likes Eleanor and Rogers together. I ship them too.
Chiara chiara you’re not the only one who thinks rogers and Eleanor were good together.they were great together. It’s so sad to thank that Rogers caused Eleanor death because he called the Spanish. Things would’ve been differently I’d he didn’t have so much fucking pride in him and ambition. I just wished he could’ve found out about Eleanor being pregnant everything would’ve been different. Rogers is also my favourite character in the series and Eleanor as well.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ RIP Eleanor
If we want to be honest she should have listened to him....and stay in the fort!
She was the first to betray him....
Poor Woodes Rogers. God Save him.
Strange enough I want game series, tv shows, and movies based off on the exploits of Woodes Rogers.
God Save The King. Long Live The King.
Rule Britannia to Woodes Rogers.
Just Clam down and carry on.
All you know about me is what i want you to know - Woodes Rogers
At the end of season 4, he proved that it was a bullshit. He showed us all his being. A pitiful man unable to assume his actions. A pathetic man who prefers to destroy an island rather than give up a victory, such as a capricious little boy who breaks his toy so that no other child plays with. He showed that he was a sexist man in fact considering his plan better than that of his wife... and result, she is dead. He also showed so many times that he loved only an image of Eleanor that can no longer be counted. Even in his hallucinations, he sees her only in a certain way : sewing ...
MissEleanorVane All so true. Eleanor became half the woman she actuslly was once she got with him. Always behind him vs next to him. Rogers tried to act like he could relate to those under him, but at the end of the day, no one was fooled. He was exactly what everyone thought he was.
Blackbeard deserves his punishment!
I hated him so much. Don't get me wrong he played the role perfectly. I just hated the character... and that was awesome. A series that is capable of creating such emotions truly is amazing.
best character of all time!!!!
i dont hate the character I hated his decisions. especially the one that got his wife killed which really pissed me off. there were no good characters nor bad ones everyone made major and minor mistakes that lead to a whole load of shit. woodes roger wasn't bad he just made very retarted decisions that effected those that he loved most
Hate him... he killed Vane, Teach, and especially Eleanor... he NEVER deserved her. He never really knew her. He loved a doll that did not exist. Thank God, she died because she would have ended up unhappy with him. He deserves nothing. He is a pathetic man, incapable of assuming his actions, blaming the whole world. And much more animal and monstrous than any Black Sails pirates.
haha thats true!! He always gave my fav characters a hell but let's be honest he was a hell of a villain!!! By the way you can check my jack rackham tribute out, you might like it more than this one !!! :)))) Thx for the feedback :)))
He is a great villain yes XD your tribute is great I just hate him too much to really appreciated it :') Go for the tribute for Jack yes please ! :D
MissEleanorVane I agree!!! He never knew Eleanor at all, and what frustrated me about her was that the people who truly loved and cared about her she just discarded at some point. Vane, Max, they truly loved her and never themselves put her in harms way, but this guy Rogers turns up and she decides to be with him, trust him, marry him, and for what? all he gave back was her death and a harsh one for her at that.
Vane and Max genuinely cared about her, Rogers only loved the idea of her
janeesa payne You said all that had to say! Eleanor pursued a certain illusion and childhood lie by choosing Rogers: the illusion that was her father. Rogers and Eleanor did not know each other and the more I see the comments of the creators of the show, the more I believe their purpose was never to make us believe their love. Rogers is only Eleanor's punishment ... at least, Max was able to avenge Eleanor and she's with Vane now.
MissEleanorVane yes!! that's exactly it, the illusion of her father. The father who never cared too much about her anyway, even at his end I believe what Vane said, that he offered Eleanor in exchange for him.
and I kinda hate that flint lied to her about Rogers, I wanted Eleanor to die for what she did to Vane, but not in that way. and flint letting her die thinking it wasn't because of Rogers was a mercy I felt she didn't deserve, her ambition always won over max and Vane. I wanted her to die knowing that Rogers was the cause of it, and in knowing that, that max and Vane were the only people who truly loved her.
I'm not really sure this bastard deserves a tribute to be honest...
hahahah everyone hates him so much :)))) But cmon he was a great villain:))) by the way check my jack rackham tribute out then you might like it:))
All You Wanna Watch People hate him because they dont like character development. Rogers changed from a man full of hopes and dreams and became a man of nightmares, thanks to Flint.
TheWildmanden Yea me too
I loved the character development Rogers went through. At first hopeful he could turn the place around, at the end, nothing more than a Pirate himself.
Of course he does...he was great!!!
Woodes and eleanor are the characters i hated most
S R. Please explain the cuck thing I don’t get the connection
Lets not forget billy, mornigold and that guy with glasses who became the captain. They are so hateable..
Eleanor was rather shallow character... She didn't have many values, and mostly she cared about the bussiness... On the other hand i really liked Woodes Rogers- he was like a highlight from the Flint's past-he wanted to finish his work of pirates' retribution, and failed, similarily. Also, he turned from his idealist vision to a war, similar to Flint. I thik those two characters are the most important in the series, and they show how idealism contrasts with pragmatism and cruelty of the real life.
Glad jack and flint both got him.
Sad? wtf jajaja,
God Save The King. Long Live The King.
